The Blessed, The Cursed ! .

◇ ◇ ◇

Shukufuku was a kingdom that truly lived up to its name, meaning "Blessed." It was a land of great abundance, filled with plenty of resources; a land flowing with milk and honey. From an aerial view, its thick, green plants looked like a bright green carpet spread out on the earth, and its buildings and monuments which showed the rich history of the kingdom, was worth calling 'Captivating'

Even though it had many wonderful aspects, this kingdom was not well-known and was hidden in mystery, away from the government of the world and the eyes of the ordinary. However, its military strength was not to be underestimated; The kingdom's soldiers were known for their bravery and their undisputed record of having never lost a battle to an enemy!... In real sense, their victories were so perfect that, after any battle, not a single enemy was spared to tell the tale!

In the kingdom, everything was peaceful and ran smoothly; The peace and order were mostly because of strict rules, where even small mistakes were met with great, severe punishments. This feeling of peace was everywhere in Shukufuku, from the happy lives of its people, to the beautiful buildings on the streets, and finally to the grand palace where the Royal Family lived.

It took a worthy King to be responsible for this outstanding welfare of Shukufuku; A quick access of King Fuku the seventh [King Fuku VII] would depict a man who was indeed worthy of the title, 'King' – He was a man of his words, quick to take action, and proudly held himself up high. And speaking of physical appearance, he was a huge man, very well built. Indeed, a glance at him would send a message that he had the complete personality of a King... But in Shukufuku, having a Royal personality was not the qualification for leadership! —

 — There was something that contrasted with King Fuku VII's appearance; He was a full-grown adult, still full of life and energy, not yet into the age bracket of the elderly, yet, his head and facial hairs were as white as snow, somewhat whiter! And this, surprisingly, was one major trait in the Royal family.

It is recorded in the kingdom's history that the first Fuku, Fuku I, once had an encounter with a celestial being, an encounter that got him blessed by the very celestial being, and ever since then, as a symbol of that encounter, every child born into the Royal family has had a divinely pure white hair, which is considered a sign of good fortune for both the Royal Family and the whole kingdom at large.

It was also well known by all people that from the time of Fuku I to the reign of Fuku VII, every ruler bore only a single heir, and that heir was born with the major family trait – A White Hair, but in the case of Fuku VII, it was totally different; his wife's first pregnancy resulted in twins, one having a divinely pure white hair, and was entitled the family name and royal title 'Fuku'... And the other, who grew a pitch-black hair, and out of the gravity and bitterness of the situation, wasn't given a name!

Noname grew up living with the total neglect of his father and the cruelty of his own mother. His twin brother, on the other hand, was living the good life of 'A True Prince', Nevertheless, they never hated themselves; they shared the greatest love towards each other and towards their caretaker, 'Lady Chan'.

Noname was indeed a Prince!... but the condition to which he was subjected was comparable to that of the lower-class citizen.

Throughout the eighteen years that Noname stayed in his father's kingdom, the only comfort he had from his adversities was Lady Chan and his beloved twin brother, Fuku VIII, with two of these adversities influencing his current way of life!

* * *

Ever since Noname was born, he was never allowed to leave the Palace, he was a forced introvert, but actually, was never alone; he had Lady Chan and his beloved twin brother.

Lady Chan, being the Head Maid, was to be completely devoted to the Queen, according to the kingdom's custom, which also implied that she would have to be experienced in every aspect of mothering and nursing. Lady Chan had no practical experience in mothering, but she was taught everything about being a mother by her former mistress, Fuku VII's mother, who was the Fuku VI. Being devoted to the Queen, Lady Chan was also the only one who would act as a midwife during the Queen's childbearing process.

Noname's existence was confined within the inner rooms of the Palace, not even the Palace guards knew of his existence!... And this was the allied decision of King Fuku VII and Agatha - Noname's parents, in order to fulfil their own selfish demands—

—On one hand, the Queen could not stand the shame of being referred to as, 'The mother of a cursed child who will bring imbalance to the kingdom', especially when she knew well that denying him was practically impossible – he was an identical twin to the so-called 'Blessed son' ... While on the other hand, the King was determined to uphold the balance of the kingdom - Publicizing Noname's existence would escalate fear and shatter the balance that the past rulers had held with their wisdom for the past centuries. Moreover, the council, his wife, and Lady Chan knew that Noname was no ordinary human, they knew that a pitch-black-haired child born into the royal family was a bad omen; they were clearly aware that every ruler was entitled to only one blessed child, any other child that comes before or after was destined to bring doom upon himself and the Kingdom. In the summary of it, a pitch-black hair in the royal family was an apocalypse' initial whisper, which sent chills down the spine of the Kingdom, forewarning an abyss of untold unholy terror that will ravage the Kingdom, leaving nothing but despair in its wake ! ! !
