Sophia's Point of View
I was still seething, pacing the length of my office like a caged lioness, when the door swung open with a loud thud.
My head snapped toward the sound, and my anger only deepened when I saw who dared to barge in unannounced.
A woman dressed in the company's cleaner's uniform stumbled in, her face streaked with tears.
"What the hell do you think you're doing in my office?!" I snapped, glaring at her. "Who gave you permission to enter?"
She didn't respond immediately. Instead, she fell to her knees, her sobs filling the room. My frown deepened.
"Miss Sophia," she whimpered, her voice cracking. "Please forgive me. I've failed you."
I blinked, momentarily caught off guard by her words. "Failed me?" I repeated, crossing my arms. "What on earth are you talking about?"
