Chp.4 Getting my Hogwarts letter✉️

After my 7th birthday I started self-defense lesson, dropped ballet and piano and instead start doing violin and well sketching and drawing a bit well I still do piano but by myself I do not take any lessons for it. I am a calm child due to not coming in contact of situation that require extreme emotion, which is due to, I am left alone, a lot, as my parents are busy and I myself work on a strict schedule and I prefer it too. I have a secret which I cannot talk about or share a moment with,yes I am talking about magic what you think I am talking about my past life well there is that too but right now I am talking about magic and I know I can't do magic in front of non- magic people but it's so much fun and that is why I rather spend time alone than with constant watch of people with whom I cannot show magic to. By the way I call people without magic non-magic people as I am not suppose to know about the word muggle. Though I have a reason why I am always so calm, I have become a calm person, it is due to the feeling of peace and happiness that I am always feeling and it's because of meditation, you see before I start doing meditation my mind was scattered but after doing it I have organized my mind and more than anything it helped me to accept me as me. Since than I have came a long way, the more you live the more you grow.

(I am 11 years old now. )

My birthday came and than it's gone but their is no sign of my Hogwarts letter anywhere. Thinking about it, of course their is no letter as the school year has not ended yet.

Then one morning of July, it happened, I got my letter.

I finished eating my breakfast, got up to take the posts in, browsing through it I saw a letter to Ms. Eva Adams. Quickly handing other letters to my Dad I looked at my letter, I can't believe it,I got it! I finally got it but outwardly I remain calm simply go to the drawer and takes out the paper knife, I am going to keep this letter inside my treasure box, well I do not have one, I am gonna buy one, a magical one. And then I looked at the letter,it's address to

To,

Ms. Eva Adams.

Second largest bedroom

4,D Canterbury,

Kent.

And on back of the letter is the famous Hogwarts logo with H in the center with four animals-a lion, an eagle, a badger and a snake.

I careful opened the letter with the paper knife.

The inside of the letter reads-

Dear Ms. Adams,

We are pleased to inform you have been accepted at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Pleased find enclosed a list of all necessary books and equipment.

Term begans at September 1. We wait your owl by no later than 31 July.

Then there is second page too.

" Dad I got a acceptance letter from Hogwarts." I said.

"Ooh very nice, wait __from where, Hogwarts! It's not funny dear." Dismissing it as a joke.

"What a funny name Hogwarts. " My mother chime in.

" It's not a joke I got a letter, it says it's for Ms. Eva Adams." I replied rather evenly.

" Must be a prank letter Eva, show me here. " Dad said.

So I showed it to him.

"Rather elaborate plan for a joke, they have written the letter in parchment with emerald ink. And they have your exact address too." My Dad said with my Mom hovering over my Dad to take a look at the letter.

"What if it's true? " I asked.

"Ooh Eva, you are still a child, so of course you will think- it's real but baby it must be a joke so lets not take it too seriously. " My Mom said.

As soon as she finishes saying the bell of our house rings.

" I got it. " I said.

I sprinted to the door and opened it. Their stood a women, old women maybe in 60's or something, can never tell the correct age, I am telling you, and she looked quite strict and proper. She is standing straight, in robes and a pointy hat, mind you I quite liked her hat and told her so.

"Hello, you got a rather nice hat there. Who are you looking for? " Asked her, mind you I already have an in-liking to who she was I just need her to acknowledge it for me to confirm it.

"Hello there and thank you. I wish to speak to Ms. Eva Adams and her parents." She said.

" Well you are speaking to Ms. Eva Adams. May I know who you are and what business do you have with me and my parents? " I said.

"Well I am a Professor at Hogwarts, Minerva McGonagall. Can we speak inside with your parents present? " She said. Bingo, I know she is McGonagall after all she looks like the actor just a little bit younger.

"Yes, of course. Please come in." Taking her, where my parents are right now and asking questions so my parents will be able to here it.

" Are you the one who send me the letter this morning?" I asked.

"Hogwarts send letters to every able witch and wizard after they are 11 year old. I work at Hogwarts. " She replied.

Till then we are at the drawing room where my Mom and Dad are sitting in the sofa and I goes to join them and I politely pointed at a single sofa chair for professor to sit and introducing them. I said-

"Mom, Dad she is Professor Minerva McGonagall, Professor they are Mr. and Miss. Adams, my parents."

"Mom, Dad she wishes to speak with me and my parents so I invited her in." Informing my parents.

"I am Professor Minerva McGonagall, I work at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and I am here too introduce your ward to our world as she has been accepted to the school." Said Professor Minerva McGonagall.

"Wait wait wait, you are saying you are the one who send the letter, is this some kind of joke." My father said.

Professor simple took out her wand and tap it at the showpiece on the table and it turn into a turtle, a live turtle. We, my parents and me simply gawk at it, my parents suprified and I misteryfied.

"Amazing. Simply fabulous. How does that work?" I said, with envy in my voice, I want to do it to till now I can only make flowers bloom but not change them.

And with my voice the spell seems to break as my parents who are very still till now starts to gain their composer again.

"Why, thank you Ms. Adams, as for how, you will learn it in your class in future and not only this but much more slowly." McGonagall replied.

"Magic is just one subject or are their sub beaches in maguc. Are their more Professor other than yourself and where is Hogwarts? " I asked but unlike Hermione I did not fire the questions on her, I spoke in a slowly and very deliberately manner making sure to time my words so people will have time to process what I am saying. And the only reason I asked her all question together rather one by one is because I am very excited right now.

"Magic has many subject which you will be learning, their is Charms, Potions, Transfiguration, Herbology, History, Astronomy, Defense against Dark Arts,Flying as main subjects deviation, Arithmetic, Ancient ruens,Care of Magical Creatures and Muggle Studies are elective courses which will be taught in third year and above. All subjects are taught by different professor's. Hogwarts location has been kept secret from magic,it's unplotable but to give a idea of it, Hogwarts is located in Scotland." She replied.

" What's Muggle Studied and which subject do you teach?" I asked.

"Muggle is refer to non-magic people and muggle studies refer to study of them and I teach Transfiguration Miss Adam's."

She replied. Now I have a reason to know the word 'muggle'.

I turn to my mom and dad and -

"See I told you it's true." I said to my mom and dad.

" Yes, yes darling but wait a second, Miss McGonagall if I assuming right than Hogwarts looks like a boarding school but what if we do not want to send her their. " My dad asked.

" Any young wizard or witch required training to control magic if she looses control she can hurt everything around her but more importantly herself. Hogwarts is the best school in Britain, it's a seven year boarding schooling with many children same as her after that she will be a proficient witch who can make her way in the wizarding world." She replied. But I think that does it, they don't want me to hurt myself.

" Alright. It's seven year schooling but what about after that, what about her future. " Dad asked.

" Wizarding world has many professions, after taking OWLS and NWET she will be able to work or if she wants to she can choose to continue to get higher education in her area of interest or she can acquire Muggle education and get into university and settle in Muggle world. " Then she continued to explain schooling, jobs and that magic world in hidden, how the magic world works and the rest you can fill it on your own, after that she said to take money to buy my school books and equipment and follow her.

So my dad got up took money, he already asked how much required and off we go, we are taking the magical bus as she explains to have enough time for shopping for my necessities.

Let me tell you what a ride it was, even more thrilling than a rollercoaster and I injoyed it, call me insane but it was woohoo, by the way Professor did a spell on us so we were stuck on our sit but my parents swears to not get into that bus ever again. Looks like they do not enjoy the bus that much. After getting out of the bus we stand in front of a narrow black gate and this place does not fit among all other shops.

"This is it ,the Leaky Cauldron, from here you can go to the magical side." And Professor McGonagall goes inside.
