Chapter 32

Once the three of you walk to the school you split ways. You slowly make your way up the stairs and towards your homeroom class. You stop by the classroom door panting a bit.

"Walking up all those stairs with crutches was like a workout..." You sigh. You look up at the classroom door. On the door it has a note.

Morning class will take place in the gym.

"...what the hell..." You sigh.

"Mmm... no good no good... A broken leg... and a red face... no good no good." A forced deep voice said from beside you. You furrow your eyebrows and slowly look to the side of you to see who that was. A girl with sunglasses beam at you. You squint your eyes at them.

"Who are you?" You ask.

"... uh... I- I'm Pawblo..." The girl says.

"Pawblo...? You mean Pablo?" You say.

"Wow wow... your english is so good..." The girl says pulling out a note pad. You look at the note pad confused. 

"What are you doing?" You ask.

"Writing down notes... This is valuable information..." The girl replies.

"Valuable information? Me speaking English is valuable information?" You question.

"Yes yes... everything you do is important to write down..." The girl states.

"Okay...? Who are you?" You ask again.

"Paulbow." She answers. You sigh and turn around to head towards the gym.

"Wait wait... come back... I have more questions." The girl yells out as she skips over towards you.

"Why are you being weird..." 

"Weird? mmm... I didn't think I came off as to be the weird type." The girl replies.

"Don't you have class?" You ask.

"Well... kinda. My class is currently on a field trip and I didn't want to go so... yeah." The girl responds.

"So why are you here bothering me?" You ask, slowly making your way down the stairs.

"Why? Well because you're the famous Yuki..." The girl responds.

"I'm not famous." You sigh.

"Well... you are very popular... Everyone knows about you." The girl states.

"How does everyone know about me?" You ask.

"You're the girl who beats up delinquents... who wouldn't know about you..." The girl states. You stop walking and tilt your head a bit.

"What?" You look at her confused.

"Yeah... Isn't that true... that you're the famous V... right...?" The girl asks.

"... where did you hear that from?" You ask her.

"Everyone knows about who you are... The girl who's dating the leader of the infamous biker gang named Toman and the girl who took down a group of guys all by herself... so inspiring..." She coos. You slightly make a disgusted look at her and then you sigh. 

"My actions were stupid..." You sigh.

"Why do you say that?" The girl asks.

"Because they were..."

"I think it was heroic... well the beating up the guys part..." The girl sooths.

"I don't know... It's given me unwanted attention..." You sigh.

"I'm sure it has... But that's probably because you're dating the invincible Mikey..." The girl states. You slowly look at her.

"I'm not dating anyone." You reply. 

"You aren't?" The girl questions.

"No."

"Oh... Okay then..." She says pulling out her note pad. "Isn't dating a gang leader..." She says as she writes down on her note pad. You continue to walk down the stairs. She follows behind you.

"Why do you keep writing notes about me?" You ask. 

"I'm just very curious about you..." The girl replies. "What do you do during your free time?" She says picking at her pencil.

"Study." You reply.

"Boring..." She comments. You relax your eyes when she says that. 

You finally make it to the bottom step and sigh. You grab your crutches and head towards the gym.

"It was a lot easier walking without crutches..." You sigh.

"What happened to your leg?" The girl asks.

"It broke..." You reply.

"Obviously... but how did it break?" 

You stop walking, squinting in the distance. The girl looks at you confused and then towards the direction you're looking in.

"Do you know that guy?" She asks. You ignore her question and turn around walking down the hall the other way. "Wait... but the short way is this way..." She says. You continue down the hall walking the long way to the gym, avoiding coming across Ren. The girl quickly follows behind you.

Once you make it to the gym you sit down on the floor against the wall. Eli looks at you and walks over to you.

"You're late..." He says sitting down beside you.

"No shit..." You reply. "What are we doing today?" You ask.

"The teacher wants us to do a group project for the festival, so we are making ideas."

"Oh...? And we had to do this in the gym?" You ask.

"We did do it in the classroom yesterday... you would've known this if you were there..."

"Isn't it kind of early to do anything for the festival?" The girl asks. You slowly turn to look at her. Eli leans forward to look at the girl.

"Who the hell..." 

"Just ignore her..." You sigh.

"Hello... My name is Payblow..." She says in a forced man voice.

"Pablo..." You corrected.

"Yes yes... Payblo." The girl repeat. You sigh when she does.

"You're a first year?" Eli questions looking at the girl.

"..."

"You look familiar... I've seen you before in the school's newspaper club..." Eli states. The girl presses her lips together, frowning a bit. "You're the girl who wears very exotic accessories on her school uniform and you have a random white strip of dyed hair... I can't remember your name... but I remember the club leader saying you always are doing things to get yourself in trouble. I guess that's why you aren't on the field trip with the other first years." Eli continued. The girl looks at him with no expression on her face.

"I... have no idea... what you- are talking about." The girl awkwardly laughs.

"School newspaper? Are you here to spread drama? Or is it because of Ayame?" You ask.

"Ayame? The third year? Ew gross... I would never help that caked face... Did you know she looks completely different when she removes her makeup... also rumor says she had her boobs done... talk about a catfish..." The girl says writing in her note pad.

"..."

"Then why are you here?" You ask.

"I thought you were super cool... that's all. I'm not putting any of this in the newspaper... I just want to get to know you better... especially after you saved my best friend."

"Bestfriend?" Both you and Eli say.

"Yeah... Jun'ya..." The girl states.

"Oh... Jun'ya..."

"Who's Jun'ya?" Eli asks.

"Hes the first year I protected a while ago..." You answer.

"Yes... That's why I came here to thank you... I also want to get to know more about you..." The girl says.

"Yeah? Well then... what's your real name...?" You ask.

"Pawbo... I said it was the Palbo... you no understand I am... Pabo..." She says in english in a forced man voice.

"She just said that name three times and they were different each time." You say to Eli still looking at the girl.

"Shes weird... I'm going to go back with everyone else... and help out with the project... See ya..." Eli says standing up and walking towards a group of people.

"Eli is his name, right? He's pretty but dresses like a nerd... That's probably why he gets no girls." The girl says flipping through her note pad. You smile and laugh a little. 

"He has potential..." You reply.

"Yeah... I guuuueesss... he would have even more potential if he cut his wicked looking hair..."

"... are you really not going to tell me your name?" You ask looking back at the girl. The girl sighs and looks up at you.

"My name is Kasumi..." The girl says taking off her sunglasses revealing her two-colored eyes. Her left eye is a goldish brown color and her right eye is blue.

"Wow... you have really pretty eyes..." You softly say.

"Oh... thanks. I'm insecure about them actually." Kasumi softly says.

"Why are they both different colors?" You ask.

"I was born with them... I was also born with a stripe in my hair too... I was told it was because of lack of pigmentation in my skin. I lack melanin in certain areas on my body. One including my eye and hair..." She says pointing to her right eye and above it she moves her hat and reveals a white strip of hair.

"Oh..."

"Yeah... It's embarrassing... especially when I want to wear a bathing suit or more revealing clothes... people would be able to see all the white patches on my skin..." She states, sighing a little. You silently nod. "I didn't mean to come out weird or annoying if I did so... I just really want to be friends." She sighs. 

"Why?" You ask.

"You seem like a really cool person to be friends with..." She replies. You furrow your eyebrows looking out into the distance.

"I don't mind being friends..." You bubble softly.

"Really? So, we are friends now?!" She bubbles jumping up on her knees.

"KASUMI!" A voice yells out from the hall.

"Oh shit... that's Sakura... I have to go..." Kasumi says grabbing her note pad and walking towards the exit that goes outside to the field. 

"Sakura? The student council president?" You question, looking towards the hall.

"Oh... Yuki... I will talk to you later... we should definitely hang out together..." She says running out the door.

"Kasumi..." Sakura says walking into the gym. She has long black hair and a very clean and professional look. She looks towards you and sighs. "Have you seen Kasumi?" She asks you. You shake your head. She sighs and walks towards the gym exit but then stops and turns to look towards you. "I don't know what your problem is... but keep messing with those delinquents and you will end up just like your mother..." She says pointing towards your leg.

"What the fuck..." You say as she walks out the door.

"What was that about?" Eli says walking over towards you.

"I have no clue... Does everyone know what happened to my mother?" You ask Eli.

"I don't know but I do know the student council has a whole log of information or gossip on students..." Eli replies. You furrow your eyebrows.

After school you meet outside with Hana and the two of you walk towards your grandparents house.

"Hey... your birthday is tomorrow... do you plan on doing anything for your birthday?" Hana asks.

"Wow... my birthday... This will be my first year without celebrating with my mother..." You quietly say.

"Dang... you're right. Will you be okay?" She asks.

"I'm pretty sure I will be okay." You reply.

"mmm... I miss Aimi." Hana softly says. You nod. In the distance you see Kasumi walking with Jun'ya.

"Hana..." 

"Yeah?" Hana says looking at you. You stop walking. 

"Have you heard about the secret log that the student council has?" You ask.

"Secret log? I don't understand what you mean..." She replies.

"Nevermind..."

"No no... Now I want to know what you're talking about."

"A log of all the things on the students in the school... like rumors and gossip... stuff like that." You say.

"... If there is such thing then that sounds terrifying..." Hana sighs. "Do you think there is such thing?" She asks.

"I don't know... but I want to find out." You comment.

"Then that would mean we would have to steal it..." Hana implies.

"And how would we do that?" You ask.

"By sneaking into the student council office obviously..." Eli says from behind the two of you.

"OH MY GOD! Stop sneaking up behind us like that..." Hana shouts. Eli laughs.

"You get scared too easily..." Eli chuckles.

"No... when an ogre like you pops up out of nowhere then of course I would get scared..." Hana huffs. Eli squints his eyes at her. You still stare off into the distance watching Jun'ya and Kasumi split ways.

"Why did you want to be friends with Yuki-chan?" Jun'ya asks Kasumi.

"She and I have a lot in common that's why..." Kasumi responds.

"Oh... okay... Well next time when you go to hang out with Yuki... let me come along." Jun'ya bubbles.

"Sure..." Kasumi says in a mediocre tone.

"I have to go now... Bye Sumi-chan..." Jun'ya says skipping across the street and waving. Kasumi smiles and waves back until he disappears into the distance. She sighs and her face goes blank. She walks across the street and turns the corner. 

"What a gullible kid..." She sighs, talking to herself. After walking a bit, she reaches a staircase where a guy is sitting at.

"Did you befriend Yuki?" The guy asks.

"Yeah... I did." Kasumi responds.

"And?" 

"She's hard to talk to..." Kasumi answers.

"..." 

"Keep trying to get closer to her... If you want that money... then you will do as I say." The guy says.

"Aren't you apart of Toman now...? Wouldn't it be easy to just talk to her?" Kasumi asks. The guy sighs and stands up.

"Kasumi..."

"Yeah?" 

"Mess this up for me and you won't be able to see your little sister again." The guy says. Kasumi stares at him blank faced. The guy smiles at her. His grey eyes glowing in the reflection of the setting sun and his glasses blurring from the light.

"Understood." Kasumi says bowing towards him.

"Kisaki... we have to go..." A guy says from behind Kasumi. Kisaki walks down the steps.

"Remember what I said Kasumi... Do what I ask and I will pay your sister's hospital bills..." Kisaki sooths as he gets on the bike behind the guy. Kasumi stares at him, watching him disappear off into the distance.
