Cultivators Dreams

Hearing his words, everyone quickly pushed the matter of Yasuo to the back of their minds, focusing intently on what Brian would say next.

"Holy, I have never dreamed in my life that I'll get to see such a high-ranking cultivator, yet that impossible dream happened during my last year of school!" One of the girls from an ordinary background murmured to her friend, her breath quickening and her heart pounding faster.

"I know right! I also thought the cultivator's organizations usually sent low-ranking cultivators to oversee the test. It seems like I was wrong. I won't leave the class until I get Brian the Destroyer's autograph!" Her friend, wearing a slightly crazed expression, leaned in and whispered back.

Hearing the murmurs of the girls sitting a row behind him, Aston, a handsome young man with a deep background and immense potential sitting in the front row, couldn't help but speak in an authoritative tone," Everyone, silence; if I hear more whispering in the class..."

Instantly, following Aston's words, the hushed discussions between the girls and boys of low background came to a halt, their eyes turning to Brian.

Seeing this scene, the tall man sitting behind the desk gave a nod of approval to Aston, acknowledging him with an approving glance.

As he returned the nod, Aston's face lit up with excitement, and his chest swelled with pride and ego, almost reaching its peak.

His classmates couldn't help but glance at the scene with curious, if not amused, expressions.

Who in the entire school didn't know that Brian the Destroyer was Aston's older brother, a member of the Dokin family, and its future heir?

No one dared to talk back to or challenge him at school. To make matters worse, when he took his cultivation test a few years ago, he was found to possess High talent.

This discovery only elevated his standing within his family.

Yet, despite Aston's formidable background and promising future, someone dared to bully and humiliate him in front of everyone. If not for the director constantly stepping in to protect him, most believed that the bully would have been 'educated' long ago.

Seeing this scene, Yasuo mused inwardly as he thought about something interesting,' It doesn't seem like my position as a student selected for the draft is gonna be shaken after today.' If not for the fact that he didn't want to arouse any unnecessary thoughts, he would have burst out laughing.

Having the class entirely concentrated on him without anyone whispering, Brian wore a serious face as he began explaining, "Class, as you may know, final exams and exams, in general, don't matter to future cultivators. Hence, the cultivator's organization, with the agreement of the human rights organization and many well-known families in America, has agreed to start the test a month earlier in order for everyone to start preparing much sooner."

"Students, do you know what it means to become a Cultivator?"

"No matter what kind of cultivation technique you turn out to practice, do not forget that we cultivators exist to allow further humanity to grow. We protect the most important mission of humanity. Do not forget that outside of this safe city, there are countless Demons, Beasts, and other lifeforms watching us like a tiger watches his prey."

As Brian's speech came to an end, he finally went to the part everyone was looking forward to the most.

"Alright, you will begin the cultivation test today as explained. I hope you will become rising stars in the future world of cultivators!"

As Brian the Destroyer's words were said, the students in this class could no longer hold back the joy in their hearts.

Who doesn't want to split oceans using one's sword? Who doesn't want to destroy mountains and level cities using one's fists? Who doesn't want to dominate and gallop across the world with arrogance?

In innumerable stories, videos, and movies, many heroes are worshipped.

Furthermore, this motivates these students to become a certain kind of Cultivator.

Today is their first step on that journey: to become a Cultivator who roams the territories of beasts and demons outside of the city or rules the various cities of humans with their powers.

Twenty classes will conduct the cultivation test today. Brian will oversee this test while his subordinates from the cultivator's organization conduct the tests for other courses.

Yasuo was the last name in this class, so he would be the last person to take his cultivation test.

Professor Nat, who also taught them the history of cultivators, was already standing at the very front. The cultivation test would be conducted in front of everyone. The students' names were called out, and then they went up front to place their hands on the Power Stone in front of their professor.

To Brian's surprise, none of the first-row students or even middle-row students dared to bully the last-row students because of their backgrounds; each of them, although they had already done the test years ago and didn't need to be here, still respectfully sat on their seats not uttering a single word to humiliate their classmates.

'Good kids, their parents must have spent much time teaching them to keep their arrogance in check and respect everyone despite their backgrounds.' Brian, seated behind the desk, smiled, seeing this scene.

Noticing Brian's lips curl into a smile, Professor Nat couldn't help but sigh inwardly. His gaze, darting across the students, paused momentarily on a particular kid lounging lazily at the back of the room.

'Sigh, if only you knew the real reason behind their respectful behavior.' Professor Nat knew what Brian was thinking but didn't comment and let him delve into his fantasies, focusing on the test.

Cultivation tests were categorized into five ranks: Low, Average, Above Average, High, and Heavenly. The distinction between each rank lies in the individual's cultivation speed.

"For instance, someone with Average talent would cultivate twice as quickly as someone with Low talent, and this pattern continued consistently up the ranks. However, the pattern broke when it came to Heavenly talent. Those with this rare gift cultivated at three times the speed of someone with High talent, creating an insurmountable barrier that no one else could cross.

'Even low talent will suffice,' Yasuo was genuinely worried about this part. Strictly speaking, he was… yeah, a person who had been insanely talented in his past world and didn't need to worry about such a measly test, but his body wasn't the same anymore, and that part worried him.

After all, if he didn't have any talent for cultivation, he would be forced to live an ordinary life, and that's something he wasn't willing to experience, especially after he felt what power and overwhelming strength do to someone.
