World of Void

"That is correct," the hovering book casually said. "But what I said is merely a fraction of what's there; for instance, you can travel to various worlds if you gather enough points and level up your fame and even open a store that enables you to buy a lot of facilities that are highly beneficial to cultivators with any realm you can think of."

"Regarding your concern, the host shouldn't be too close-minded. Although I spoke about you getting killed at some point, that's only in other worlds if you decide to venture there for strength and resources. As in the Holy Land? Your safety is guaranteed since you have absolute authority; no matter the realm of the said cultivator that enters it, everyone will be at your mercy if they show ill intentions towards your land!"

Hearing the explanation, Yasuo's mind considerably eased.

The most urgent thing he needed was strength; to gain that, he needed to increase his cultivation base. If the Holy Land wasn't a safe place for him and the cultivators could threaten him in a fit of rage, he would never step into it.

He had lived for hundreds of years and knew more or less about powerful people's egos; if the price of his facilities was astronomical and a client in a fit of rage decided to attack, he would be turned into dead meat in a split second.

"Should I go right now?"

Yasuo fell into thought.

He could be sent to his Holy Land right away to check on it, but he was unsure whether the old man would be visiting him anytime soon.

Although staying in the Holy Land could be convenient to get away from all those problems, he knew that such a method was never fulfilling.

What's the point of a master's title if you have no true strength?

Yasuo's ego and pride would never allow him not to get stronger, especially when he knows that he will only have 70 years or so of lifespan before he passes away.

Indeed!

The system had already made it clear that it didn't provide him with any benefits except being the keeper of its holy land, traveling to various worlds, and accommodating cultivators from across the universe.

Yasuo wasn't willing to give up such heaven-defying abilities to death.

"The most important thing is cultivation. Right now, I have not even opened my dantian and haven't stepped on the path to being a cultivator. I'm just a mortal! I must hurry and cultivate, catching up to those powerhouses and seize this opportunity, which is my best advantage."

Not to forget, the store given by the system and the ability to travel to other worlds was useless without a proper foundation. Instead, it would just be walking into a wolf's den, looking for death.

The main problem in front of Yasuo right now was cultivation.

He had to increase the level of his foundation as fast as possible. Since magic doesn't exist in this world, he would have to tread on a whole alien path, albeit slightly similar, since meditation and the way of cultivation most likely didn't differ much.

"To cultivate as fast as possible, I would have to borrow this old man's hand and other people's. With the state I am in right now, I have no power or ability to know what they are scheming about or even to protect myself; I'll just go around with their flow."

He knew that since he didn't already die, his life was too precious to be taken away at this moment, therefore he could afford to take his chances with the old man and others behind it to start cultivating.

Yasuo had made up his mind.

He would go with the flow.

Subsequently, he decided to go to the place his system provided and open his newbie gift there. Despite feeling safe in this foreign spot, Yasuo still felt danger and dread of death with each passing second.

"System, It seems like it's the right time to take me to the holy land I'm about to manage, no?" He said.

"I was already waiting for your command; you have been slow on that. Also, remember not to talk like this outside; think of what you need, and I'll be able to receive the information." The cold old voice of the system instructed.

The door of light within his mind began to tremble.

Yasuo could feel his entire body being irresistibly drawn toward the door as if an unseen force was pushing him through.

Within seconds, Yasuo finally opened his eyes, his body trembling with excitement as he gazed at his holy land from a bird's-eye view.

"Master may descend whenever you have finished observing your holy land," the old man's indifferent voice instructed as usual. He was about to end it there when he remembered he needed to provide further instructions to his master.

"Also, keep in mind, this place is nowhere near any universe nor in the sphere of anything. This is the 'world of void' and anyone below a certain cultivation level that goes beyond the walls of this holy land would immediately be turned to nothingness, as for stronger ones, they would rapidly start losing their lifespans till they die."

Yasuo nodded in understanding, finding it almost too convenient that his holy land was situated in such a remote and perilous location.

He then began surveying his land, which stretched across more than ten meters.

'Small, but I guess it has to do with my level of fame and other things,' Yasuo stroked his chin in thought. He then focused on the land, and instantly, information flowed into his brain, describing everything about his holy land.

The World of Void is an endless, empty expanse devoid of natural features like a sky, land, or celestial bodies. It's vast and endless, and concepts like time and space exist only inside the Holy Land.

Another piece of information that piqued Yasuo's interest was that only his holy land was constructed in this world of void, and nothing was in it.

'Hmm, only this godly relic has this function, or are the other godly relics unwilling to take a master and drop their ego?' He could tell by the words of the relic when describing itself as an object that needs to take a master, which obviously means not only it existed.

Brushing away those thoughts to the back of his mind, Yasuo then focused on the other information.
