Memory

Kaito awoke in a new world, a realm far different from his own. Two attractive women lay asleep beside him, their rhythmic breathing a testament to the night's rest. He grinned sheepishly, careful not to disturb their slumber. "Even in this fantasy world, some morning surprises stay the same," he mused to himself, discreetly glancing at his own awakened state.

Allisa, the maid, entered the room, her footsteps soft but assured. "You're up early today, my lord. Usually, you're too lazy to rise."

Kaito adjusted himself with mock pride. "I guess an early night lends itself to an early morning. Just leave the food over there, will you?"

Addressing the imaginary audience, he remarked with a playful smirk, "If you're reading this, know that this author has quite the taste in maids."

"Thank you for the meal," he said, dismissing Allisa with a wave. As she turned, he couldn't help watching her leave, filled with boyish curiosity. She glanced back, her eyes mischievous, leaving him slightly flustered by her yandere smile..

Left alone with his thoughts, Kaito sighed. No internet, no digital connection—just an unfamiliar world without modern comforts. "It's like I'm living in the wrong era," he thought. "All this isn't precisely my scene."

He reflected inwardly, "I'm not some inexperienced guy pining for fantasy escapades. Reality's harsh enough, where even talking to a girl seems daunting." He considered taking steps towards physical self-improvement, something worthwhile to break the monotony.

Just then, Liora and Sofea, the two women, stirred from their sleep. They were wrapped in little more than sheets, adding to his perplexity. "Great, they're awake," he thought, nervously pondering if anything had occurred before his consciousness arrived in this strange place.

Liora leaned in, offering Kaito a tender morning kiss. His cheeks flushed red as he momentarily fainted from the unexpectedness.

"Kaito... Kaito..." A gentle voice pierced his haze. Sofea's voice was filled with concern as she lightly shook him. "I know you're awake. What happened? You passed out all of a sudden. Are you alright?"

Blinking rapidly, Kaito refocused, "Sorry about that. Just a bit surprised by the kiss, I guess."

Sofea giggled softly, "You always get kissed by Liora in the morning. What's up with you today? Let's get on with our day."

In the meeting room

Kaito and two others entered the room.

"Please have a seat, my lord," Sofea invited.

"What shall we discuss today?" inquired Kaito.

"It's about architecture, my lord. We need to address the structure of our buildings and homes," Sofea replied.

"What issues are plaguing our current estate?" Kaito asked with a serious expression, urging Sofea to elaborate.

"Our citizens' homes frequently suffer from leaks, and the walls are starting to crack due to age. Additionally, our stone and sand roads easily sink when exposed to water," Sofea explained.

"I suggest we recruit people with architectural skills, but we lack the funds to do so," Sofea continued.

"Thank you for explaining, Sofea. It's okay not to spend money on recruiting at the moment. Instead, can you find workers who are willing to learn? I am prepared to teach them about futuristic materials for building roads and houses," Kaito proposed.

"Understood, I will find suitable candidates," Sofea promised.

"You may go now," Kaito concluded.

"It's okay, Liora, don't watch me so intensely. You can sense there's a different soul inhabiting this body, right?"

Grrrr—

"Yes, I am another soul that has been transferred here, and I'm not sure if the original soul is alive or not. Please, let's talk, but know that my heart still resonates with his feelings. Even now, I feel like I still love you after waking up in this body.

"But can you give me time to adapt? I promise I'll take good care of it."

Liora transformed into her human form. "I'm sorry," she said, "I thought you'd hate me because I'm a dragon and that you'd force me to leave. But I'm happy because your heart hasn't changed, even if your soul has."

Kaito smiled, though he knew the saddest part was that they didn't realize this world was on the brink of destruction.

"At least I'm not dying alone," he thought. "Having faced death before, this second time doesn't feel so daunting."

Liora transformed back into a small dragon and nestled herself on Kaito's head. Meanwhile, Allisa, who had been eavesdropping on their conversation behind the door, wore a disconcerting smile.

Later that night, as Kaito and Liora talked, they both gradually drifted off to sleep. It took them a long time to finally rest. Kaito thought, "I'd better sleep in the library tonight; I need to do some research on this world."

Kaito left the room, searching for the library. He saw an open door and peered inside, discovering it was a maid's room. He noticed Allisa sitting there.

He knocked gently. "Hello, Allisa, can you tell me which door leads to the library?"

"Oh, Lord, it's just at the end of the hall," she replied.

"And Allisa, thank you for trying to save this body," Kaito continued. "I don't know why the original owner chose to end his life, but it's because of you. Don't be surprised—I know you overheard our conversation earlier."

"I don't know why he wanted to commit suicide," she said slowly, "but in his memories, you were there with him. You saved him halfway through his attempt."

"When you're ready to talk, come find me," Kaito said.

He left the room and proceeded to the library. "God damn author," he whispered, "I'll try to defy you and survive in this world."

" i will use your body properly just trust me . Rest in peace."
