Her mother screamed out, "Sir immortal, don't care about my life! Kill this demon!"

At this moment Zi Hao really wanted to tie her up and boil her in a soup! However, right now he had no choice but to stay his hand. 

Ruang Qing weakly said, "D-don't."

Li Xing understood and nodded.

"Fine, I can promise you. As long as you don't harm her, you can leave." His eyes had no weight in them. 

To be perfectly honest, whether the Devil Emperor, Zi Hao escaped, died, or anything of that sort, it wouldn't make much difference. 

He was absolutely no concern of his.

Zi Hao was unable to get a read on Li Xing. 

"Senior, its not that junior doesn't believe in senior. But a promise can be broken as easily as a twig."

From Li Xing, a aura rose. 

Zi Hao gulped, but didn't back down.

"Junior doesn't dare. It's just that how can I explain to my people about this situation?" Acting confused and innocent he spoke, "How about this. You let me bring this woman to the underworld as a guest. After 1 year, I am willing to let her go."

Ruan Qing shouted, "Impossible! Let my mother go right now!"

As her rage raised, Li Xing also showed sign of battle.

"3 months! 3 months and I'll let her go! She will be treated with utmost respect!" Finally at a corner, "If senior keeps pressing me!" 

The energy was surging inside Zi Hao, ready to burst.

Li Xing saw this and sighed. 

To him, killing was a easy feat as breathing. However, saving people wasn't his expertise. Just like how building a barrier wasn't his strong perks. 

Though it was strong, it wasn't invincible as his sword.

This was one of the reason he had personally stayed in the boundary of the three realms.

In his first exchange, although he didn't hold back his power against Zi Hao, he had still underestimated him slightly. He had to be careful to also not harm Ruan Qing's mother in the process accidentally. 

Of course, there were several healing treasures, but a human wouldn't be able to bear the mentality of losing a limb as easily as a immortal. Such scars, even when fully healed, would leave a crack in their mind. 

"Ruan Qing, if you don't want your mother to feel pain, you could agree. 3 months is nothing compared to what will happen if he explodes."

She felt hesitant and bitter. The man that took her right eye was also going to take her mother away from her. Yet there was nothing she could do.

Without saying another word, she only nodded. Both held back any tears. 

Li Xing saw that they had come to a conclusion. Flicking his hand, the necklace flew towards Ruan Qing's mother. 

A white whisp also entered the pendant. 

"This treasure should protect you from any harm in the underworld, but I'm afraid it won't be enough against that devil." He spoke loudly and clearly so that everyone in the vicinity could hear. "In that treasure is also my spiritual energy. If anyone tries to harm you, I will know instantly."

Zi Hao looked at the treasure, but not with fear or desire, but rather hate.

If it wasn't for this magic treasure, he wouldn't have been so unlucky as to lose half of his men and be so heavily injured!

Li Xing knelt down besides her to support her up. "Just call me Li Xing. You're heavily injured. I've already helped you by passing you some spiritual energy, but I wasn't able to save your eye. I'm afraid that it has to do with a curse embedded in his armor."

Ruan Qing shook her head awake, T-that's not it." she looked right in his eyes, "Can I still be your disciple?"

He stared back into her. She showed anger, frustration, vengeance, and desire.The innocent girl he had met 2 months ago changed completely within a day.
