CHAPTER SEVEN:I AM REALLY SCARED,CAN YOU REALLY COPE WITH HIM?

(Melisa, tilda and hilary went out to have some fun and really did had some fun).

**AT A RESTAURANT***

(After going to do many places they decided to stop at a restaurant to eat something).

WAITER:(With a smile) Welcome to bing resturant.What can we offer you?

( They collecty the menu from him).

HILARY;I will go with fried chicken ,salad and red wine.

MELISA AND MATILDA:We will go with what he asked for.

WAITER:Okay(exit waiter).

(After eating lisa checked her time and it was 6pm,so she decided to go home).

MELISA:(Done eating and standing)I got to go.

MATILDA:(Sadly)Why not stay with us a little bit longer.

MELISA:I got things to do,maybe some other time.

MELISA:Okay sis.

(All this while clinton was in that same restaurant with a friend of his and he saw everything and he was furious).

**OUTSIDE**

(Melisa about entering her car when she sighted clinton entering his car as well but he was angry).

MELISA:(To herself)Why does he look so angry?

**AT HOME**

(Clinton got home before Lisa because she stopped at the hospital to check out things before going home).

MELISA:(Walks in).

CLINTON:(Angrily) Where did you tell me you were going?

MELISA:I was going out to see a friend.

CLINTON:You went out with another man who kissed your forehead and told you he loves you and you take good care of yourself since he doesn't like to see you hurt.How dare you get around with other men despite being in a relationship with me,are you this cheap and worthless ?

MELISA:(Angrily)Have you lost it?I am not cheap or worthless instead it is your life and future that is cheap and worthless, don't ever in your life try to point fingers at my morals when you don't have any.

CLINTON:(Shocked)You are not remorseful.

**AT LISA'S ROOM**

(She was on towel and about entering the bathroom when clinton walked in).

CLINTON:(Walks in)Babe, I am so sorry,I was wrong.

MELISA:Why did you walk into my room without my permission?

CLINTON:If I had knocked,you won't open the door.(Goes close to her and draw him towards himself)I am sorry,I won't do this again,I will ask questions first,I allowed jealousy take control me.

MELISA: Apology not accepted.

CLINTON:Common bababe what should I do to make it up to you(Starts kissing her,then romance).

**LATER THAT DAY **

(Melisa got up to up to see flowers beside her and when she looked beside her he wasn't there,just then clinton walked in with her favourite food).

CLINTON:(walks in)Waky!waky sweetie.

MELISA :(With a smile)As if you knew I was farnished .

CLINTON:I know that after everything you will be tired so I brought you your favorite.

MELISA:(Smiling)Yay!

CLINTON:(Keeps the food)You will have to take your bath before eating and no worries I will bath you.

MELISA:(Without hesitation) Okay.

CLINTON:(Surprised)I was expecting you to refuse not to accept.

MELISA:Why won't I accept when I do tired and you are the reason why ,so what is wrong with you taking responsibility for your actions.

CLINTON:I rest my case(Sweeps her into his arena and wents into the bathroom,after an hour they got out).

MELISA:Thanks.

CLINTON:No problem.You can eat now.

MELISA:All by myself,?

CLINTON :You want me to feed you right?

MELISA:(With a smile) Right.

(She got dressed up and then sit to eat).

(Three days ago was clinton's and lisa wedding,they did all the necessary weddings and settle down for marriage life. Then jane and her kids left.Their marriage was going well till the third year of their marriage when he changed into who he truly is).

MELISA:(Sitting down and waiting for clinton to get back,she has tried calling him all to no avail).

**AN HOUR LATER**

CLINTON:(Walks in).

MELISA:Babe,you stayed so long today and I was trying to reach you but your number was switched off.

CLINTON:I am so sorry, I had a lot to do at the office.

MELISA:(Not satisfied with his answer)Okay,I prepared dinner?

**THE NEXT DAY**

(Melisa was rushing out breakfast when he came downstairs holding a briefcase and dressed up for work).

MELISA:Going to work today?

CLINTON:I got some important stuff to sort out.

MELISA:If you say so, and I guess you not having breakfast before leaving right?

CLINTON:Yeah!I am late already,I will eat when I get back.

(Melisa had breakfast alone ,and then she got ready for work and left, Melisa got back from work but didn't but cilnton wasn't back yet and it was 11 pm,she went up stairs freshen up,put on her nightgown went downstairs and into the kitchen and prepared egusi souo and piunded yam for herself, she was eating when she decided to call clinton).

MELISA:(Dials his number).

LAURA:(Answers)Hello! Hi I know you want to know who this right?anyways it is your co-wife,I will be packing into that house soon and as for my husband he is in the bathroom because when I am ready to pack in will push you out cause I don't want to share my man with you or anyone else and hey he won't be coming back home today so go and sleep (hang up).

MELISA:(Surprised but not surprised, smiling) Wow!what audacity,so clinton has been spending all of his time with his mistress,that is why he never have time for me.Well I am not surprised just that I wasn't expecting him to change so soon how desperate he is to make him life miserable for me,well let's see how it goes,now the drama begins.

(Clinton got out of the bathroom).

**THE NEXT DAY**

(It is lisa's day off work and she has planned to spend it with tilda as she was about going out when clinton walked in).

CLINTON:(Walk in)Where to?

**AT TILDA 's PLACE**

(Melisa walked in to see tilda in the kitchen).

MELISA:(Walks into the kitchen) Good morning sis.

MATILDA:(With a smile hugs her) Morning sis,how are you doing?

MELISA:As you can see I am doing absolutely fine.

MATILDA:And your husband.

MELISA:I don't know about him, and I don't care anymore.

(Melisa narrated everything to her).

MELISA: Wasn't expecting him to change so soon but he did change.

MATILDA:But that woman got guts.

MELISA:That is their cup of tea,I came here to have a peaceful day off work,so what are you cooking.

MATILDA:I am making jollof rice.

MELISA:Sounds delicious.

MATILDA:So you are going back right?

(Matilda finished cooking and served the food).

MELISA:Kids,the maximum number of kids I can have for him is three and the minimum is two. But I have always wished to have twins a boy and a girl as my first child that way I won't need to give birth again,and I know God will answer my prayers.

MATILDA:I wish so too.

MELISA:And hey, I have been feeling off lately but haven't paid attention to it yet.

MATILDA:We are going to the hospital for a pregnancy test tomorrow night buts.

MELISA:Yes,ma.

(They actually had fun ,they played games,went to the cinema, shopping and went to a shoprite before heading home).

**THE NEXT DAY**

(Lisa got up with a fever the next morning,she was shivering and couldn't get up but luckily tilda walked into her room).

MATILDA:(Walks into her room) Good morning sis!

MELISA:(Shivering) Goo...mo..ning.

MATILDA:(Notices she is shivering)hey sis what is wrong with you?

MELISA:Help m...e get..to the hospital.

MATILDA:Okay.

**AT THE HOSPITAL**

(She was giving a cold tablet and a test was runed on her which said she was a four weeks pregnant).

ROSE:(With a smile) Congratulations to you dear.(gives the test result to tilda).

MATILDA:(Collects it and reads it)Ss, you are four weeks pregnant.

MELISA:(With a smile)I am going to be a mother.

MATILDA:(Happily)And I am going to be a Godmother.I think you should go home from here I will come see you later .

MELISA:Okay.

**AT HOME**

(Melisa walked in to see clinton busy with his laptop).

MELISA:(Walks in).

CLINTON: Where were you?I called you several times but you were not picking up.

MELISA:That is because you don't have anything useful to say. Anyways here you go( gives the test result to him).

CLINTON:What is this?

MELISA:Only one way to find out.

CLINTON:(Opens it and reads it)OMG!I am going to be a father (hugs her)Thank you so much.

MELISA:(Surprised)I wasn't expecting you to be happy, when your mistress won't.

CLINTON:She is my mistress and you are my wife.I just wanted a second wife.

MELISA:I will not quit my job not now or later,no worries I can cope.

MELISA:You are so wise,you want to bring in your mistress into my house as a maid abi? Is either you bring back aunt sarah or you forget about it.

CLINTON:I gave her a vacation for three months and it is barely two months and you want her back.

**THE NEXT DAY**

(Melisa got dressed for work and was about going out when she saw clinton serving foot at the dining table).

CLINTON:Already set for work,but you have to eat first.

CLINTON:You are pregnant so I don't want to stress you, so come sit while I feed you.

(Melisa sits and he fed her to her satisfaction after which she left for work, but today she has to get to the oil firm first before going to the hospital).

**AT THE FIRM**

(Melisa walked into the office and went straight to her office).

SIDNEY: Good morning ma'am.

MELISA; Good morning Sid,how is everything going?

SIDNEY: Everything Is going fine(Shows her register where all transactions are written).

MELISA:(Goes through it)This is really good ,well done Sid.

MELISA:(Goes through it before signing them after which she left for the hospital but one thing was sure she was really excited,this firm if hers is going to be more progressive than any of her companies in nigeria. AT the hospital,she attended to her patients and performed up to five surgeries,she was really busy throughout that she didn't have time to eat anything but she ma aged to eat a little pizza later in the evening before continuing by the time she was done it was 11:50pm,she was so exhausted,she just needed to rest).

(Melisa got home to find sarah who was impatiently waiting for her arrival and at her front was lisa's favourite).

MELISA:(Walks in).

SARAH:(Rushes to hug her)Welcome dear.

MELISA:(Happily)Thank you when did you get back?

SARAH:I got back this morning.Congratulations dear.

MELISA:Thanks so how is clinton treating you.(she Narrated everything to her).

SARAH:I always knew he was a womanizer.here you go(serves her the food)here you go,I prepared it myself.

MELISA:(sits and started eating)Thank you aunt.

SARAH:You are welcome.You need to reduce your stress okay.

MELISA:No worries nothing will happen to my babies,they are as strong as mama.

MELISA:I will go freshen up and get some rest, goodnight.

**AT THEIR ROOM***

MELISA:(Walks in).

MELISA:Work off cause.

CLINTON:How can you be coming back from work by this time?it is 12:10 pm.

(She took her bath out on her pajamas,prayed and then slept).

**THE NEXT MORNING**

(Melisa woke up feeling not better).

MELISA:(Opens her eyes and then rub them)Oh God! I shouldn't have worked till twelve yesterday as I am pregnant,I guess if hadn't worked till late yesterday I won't be feeling this tired now even though I had slept very well last night ,seems like I need extra rest.

CLINTON:(Walks in holding a tray containing food) Good morning sunshine.

MELISA:(Lies down and turns her back to him).

CLINTON:Common babe, I am sorry for yesterday, look I brought what I think you might be craving for,I prepared pancakes and tea.

(Melisa hearing that turned to him,because she was actually craving for pancakes).

MELISA:(Turns)How did you know I am actually craving for pancakes?

CLINTON:It was sarah who said pregnant women like light things so I prepared this for you.

MELISA:(With a smile)Thanks.I will go brush my teeth..

(She stood up and went into the bathroom,few mins later she came out,took the food from clinton sits to start eating when clinton requested to feed her).

CLINTON:I want to feed you.

MELISA:Thanks for the offer but no,I got hands so there will be no need.

CLINTON:I insist.

MELISA:If you insist on feeding me then you can take your food and get out of here.

CLINTON:(Defetedly)Okay.

MELISA:Thanks(Starts eating) this is delicious, I love it.

CLINTON:Thanks for the compliment.Ahm!babe!

MELISA:(Eating)Yes!

CLINTON:I don't want you to go anywhere till you put to bed.

MELISA:(Snubs him and continue eating).

(Clinton was really mad at lisa for disrespecting him as that was what he called it, he vowed to make her pay for it once she put to bed).

**DOWNSTAIRS**

CLINTON:(Furiously)Ah!if not for the fact she is carrying my child I would have given her the beating of her miserable life, I promise her ,she will pay for disrespecting me ,she must pay by all means once she put to bed.

(Clinton was with lisa throughout her pregnancy period doing all he was supposed to do but the day she was to give birth clinton was with laura Instead).

**AT THE KITCHEN**

(Melisa is seen gisting with sarah when she went into labor).

SARAH:So tell me what sex of child do you wish to have?

MELISA:Both, I wish to have both a girl and a boy.So I don't have to stress myself getting pregnant again.

SARAH:You are saying you are not taking care n again after this one?

MELISA:(Eating banana)Yeah!I can't tell how clinton will treat them when they're finally born when he doesn't treat me well.

SARAH:You breath in and out while I go get the car key and the babies bag.

(SARAH quickly got the car keys and the bag and helped lisa into the car while jack drove them to the hospital).

**AT THE HOSPITAL**

(SARAH getting to the hospital started calling for the doctor's attention).

SARAH:(Worriedly) Doctor! doctor!(Rose help wheel a stretcher to the location of lisa and help her lie down on it after which nurse bianca

and another nurse wheeled the stretcher into the theatre.Immediately lisa went into theatre linda was brought to the hospital by melvin and doc Dan attended to her).

MELVIN:(Sights sarah)Good afternoon aunt?

SARAH: Good afternoon.

MELVIN:Why are you here?is lisa okay?

SARAH:(Worriedly)I really can't say but she just went into labor.

MELVIN:(With a smile)Wow!what a coincidence,don't worry she will be fine she is a strong girl.

SARAH:That is right.

**AN HOUR LATER**

(Doctor rose and dan came out of the theatre at same time to deliver the news of lisa and linda safe delivery).

SARAH:(Worriedly)Doc,how is she and the babies?

ROSE:They are both fine and you can see them.

DANNIEL:Your wife has also giving birth to a bouncing baby boy.

MELVIN AND SARAH:Thank God for safe delivery,can we see them?

DAN AND ROSE:Sure you can see them take that direction(Pointing at the direction)the first door at your left it is a vip ward .

(Sarah and melvin without any hesitation rushed towards the vip ward).

**AT THE WARD**

(Sarah and melvin walked in to find lisa and linda resting).

SARAH AND MELVIN: Congratulationsto you sis!

SARAH: Congratulations to you both!

MELVIN: Staring at the babies on in the cot.Our babies look cute like their parents talking of parents where is clinton?

MELISA:He left the house this morning to go be with his new found love.

(Clinton got out of the bathroom and sighting laura with his phone he knew she must be talking with lisa so he quickly grabbed the phone from laura).

CLINTON:Hello!

SARAH: Clinton your wife just put to bed.

CLINTON:(Happily) Finally I am going to be a dad. I will be there.

LAURA:You are going no where,common babe,you spent eight months and the half with that bitch without calling me or seeing me and now you finally came to be with me that bitch want to take you away from me,after all you can see her any time you want because you both leave in the same house.

(Matilda walked in with the flask and orange juice).

MATILDA:(Places the food at the front of lisa and linda)here you go ladies.

(Everyone watched lisa and linda ate their food after which rose discharged her and linda and they all went to lisa's place, except melvin who promised to come see her the next day).

**AT LISA'S PLACE**

(Melisa entered the sitting room and sat down ,leah and lisha gave her some gifts for her kids before bidding her goodbye and left While jane and tilda decided to prepare something for them to eat )

**AN HOUR LATER**

(Tilda and jane were done cooking they served the food and everyone except lisa ate after which she breastfed the kids and put them to sleep in her room and then came downstairs to the others to watch a particular Nigerian movie by this time it was 9pm already and clinton was yet to get back home,at 11pm he walked in by then she cuddling her babies still watching the movie).

CLINTON:(Walks in) How are you doing dear?

**THE NEXT DAY**

(Leo and cleo were ready for school already when sarah was getting ready for her flight,after she gave her luggage to musa who took it to the car after which she bid her cuties goodbye).

LEO:Grandma we will miss you so much.

SARAH:I know and even me will miss you two.

CLEO: Grandma when you are coming back make sure to go shopping for me and big bro.

SARAH:No problem.

LEO AND CLEO:Mom,we will go see aunt lysia during the holidays right?

MELISA:(with a smile)Of cause my angel,your wishes are my command.

LEO AND CLEO:(Happily)Yay! Grandma bye!

SARAH:(Hugs and kisses them in their forehead)Bye(exit sarah).

(The kids watched sarah's car leave the compound before heading to school).

**IN THE CAR***

(Leo and cleo wasn't happy sarah left ,not because they would miss her but because they would have to stay all by themselves at home whenever mom has a lot of work to do so they decided to ask lisa where and who they would be staying with).

LEO AND CLEO:(Worriedly)Mom!

MELISA:(Looks at them) Yes,cuties.what's up?

LEO:Mom,now grandma is gone who are going to stay with.

CLEO: Knowing fully well you are not always at home.

MELISA:Your dad is at home isn't he?

LEO AND CLEO:(Exchange glances)Dad!

MELISA:Yes,dad he is at home for the mean time so you will be staying with him.

LEO AND CLEO:(Surprised)Mom,you know we are not in good terms with dad so how do you think we will cope with him?

MELISA:You two just have to apologize and you are good after all he is your father.

LEO AND CLEO:We don't have a father.

MELISA:(Slightly angry) Don't ever say that again elseom will me mad at you two okay.I understand you and your dad are not in good terms but he will be happy to see his kids stay around him for the time being.Okay how about this,if you can do this for me and daddy still get you angry then you two won't stay with him again but don't get him angry on purpose.(Lisa observed her kids expression and notice that they are not going to give in soon so she decided to give it a last attempt).kids,you two are mad at dad for not treating mommy well but mommy isn't complaining and moreover I can deal with him and since this is between your dad and me you don't have any right to be angry since the victim isn't angry.

(Leo and cleo knew that lisa was just trying to make sure they have a good relationship with their father so they decided to agree because of her).

LEO AND CLEO:Okay mom,we are doing this because of you okay.But...

MELISA:(Interrupts them)If daddy isn't at home you two will stay with aunt Tilda.

LEO AND CLEO:(Excited)Yay!.

(They were happy because they love and cherish tilda she is like their second mom, so nice she has been with lisa every time in life,she was more than a friend and sister to lisa. Finally they arrived at school,hugged lisa and tom took them into the school after while ch she left for the company,but before that she ordered tom and jack to pick up the kids once it is time).

**LATER THAT DAY**

(Lisa had a lot of appointments at the hospital and also Alot of work at the oil firm mostly to sign some documents,so she shifted the time of her appointment and attended to the oil firm before the hospital and at the e d of the day she was all done but so exhausted she couldn't drive herself home and she forgot to check up on her kids,sh then called jack to come pick her up and in a few mins he was at the hospital).

JACK:(Opens the door for her to get in).

MELISA:(Gets into the car)How are my kids?

JACK:They are from me ma.

MELISA:That means they are doing well in the company of their dad right? JACK:(Starts driving).

**AT HOME**

(Melisa got home by 11:40 pm,everywhere was really quite so, she first glanced at her watch).

MELISA :(Glances at her watch) They must be asleep by now.

**AT THE KIDS ROOM**

(Melisa walked into the kids room to see clinton in their middle with his arms around their waist with leo and cleo sleeping comfortably).

MELISA:(Surprised)Wow,I never thought you three will get along so well,well it is for the best,he doesn't care about me but do care about the kids that is enough for me.(Kisses leo and cleo heads before switch off the light and left the room).

**THE NEXT MORNING**

(Lisa,got up quite late,because of how exhausted she was yesterday and she now feels better but she was also sad as leo and cleo would have to go to school late,so quickly left to their room but couldn't figure and then do she went downstairs to find them eating).

MELISA:(Surprised).

LEO AND CLEO:(With a bright smile) Good morning mom.

MELISA:(Curiously) Good morning,who dressed you up for school?

LEO;Who else if not dad.

MELISA: Clinton, good morning and thank you for helping me prepare the kids for school.

CLINTON:Are you seriously telling me thanks?have you forgotten the kids are also my kids?

MELISA:Right,I am just surprised.

LEO:I know you were not expecting dad to prepare us for school but he did and we enjoyed our stay with him, he even helped us with our assignment and heis an excellent teacher.

CLEO:Big bro is right,I guess dad isn't so bad after all he is the best.

MELISA:Wow!I am really happy you two enjoyed his company.

LEO AND CLEO:Dad,we are done eating,can you take us to school?

CLINTON:Of cause.(helps them with their school bag and lunch bag)Let's go.

LEO AND CLEO:(Hugs and peck her) Bye mom,see you in the afternoon or are you going to work today?

MELISA:Nope,I am off work for today till monday except an emergency come through.

LEO AND CLEO: (With a smile)See you(exit leo, cleo and clinton).

MELISA:I really never expected him to accept to take them to school,wow has he change or he is just pretending?well let's see how it goes.

(Melisa got dressed and headed to tilda's place).

**AT TILDA'S PLACE**

(Matilda and larry were playing a game of chess when he tried to kiss her)

MATILDA:(With a smile)I won.told ya!

HILARY:You know you so talented,you good at whatever you want to be good at which is one thing I love about you and I really wish you could be my girlfriend because I really do love you with everything in me and I know you love me to,you just don't want to show it. (Matilda,who has been looking at his face immediately shifted her gaze the moment he mentioned love but he held her chin and made her face him and then kissed her).

MATILDA:(Shifts her gaze)I don't love you.

HILARY:But I love you and I have proved that a million times,I know you feel something for me you are just not willing to admit it.
