The air between them became thicker, heavier with unspoken tension. Gabriel could feel it, the weight of Damian's gaze, the intensity of his presence. It was not just exhaustion in those golden eyes; there was something deeper and more primal. A hunger that Gabriel had seen flicker before but never fully recognized until now. 

Damian shifted slightly, setting the discarded report aside with a deliberate motion. His fingers flexed against the polished wood armrest of the chair before he lifted one hand and flicked his wrist to gesture Gabriel forward.

A silent command.

Gabriel paused for only a second before stepping forward, slow and deliberate, closing the gap between them. He felt the heat rise as he approached, the sheer weight of Damian's presence pressing down on him in ways that had little to do with words.
