Who Are You? 2

As soon as the woman spoke, Ryan suddenly realized, "Could it be... that the lifeline I thought I grabbed that day was actually this dagger?"

There had been so much information in his mind these days. If no one had reminded him, he might never have remembered this detail.

"Did you really save me? Then how did this end up in my pendant?" Ryan exclaimed, pointing at the dagger.

"Of course, it was me. Do you think it was that stupid deer? There's no such thing as coincidence. That deer was just a decoy," the woman said with disdain, looking at him.

From her explanation, Ryan finally understood that it was his blood that had awakened the woman through the dagger.

After saving him, she had stayed hidden within the pendant, along with the dagger.

Ryan quickly bowed and said, "Thank you for saving my life."

Since the woman had clearly explained the events of his fall from the cliff, Ryan believed her without hesitation.

When the woman saw Ryan bow, she quickly turned her body aside, "Saving you is my business, it has nothing to do with you, and you don't need to thank me. I just think you're an interesting little guy. It would have been a shame if you died."

Ryan turned the conversation around, "You said you could teach me how to cultivate elemental power. Then I should at least bow to you as a student, shouldn't I?" he said, trying to get closer.

He could tell that the woman was extraordinary, and maybe she really could help him cultivate, and he didn't want to miss any opportunity.

"Don't try to flatter me. I'll just give you some simple guidance. The rest is up to you. I'm not interested in taking disciples, so stop thinking about that," the woman said, shutting him down.

"Then what should I call you?" Ryan asked, probing further.

The woman noticed that Ryan was trying to dig into her background. She thought for a moment and replied, "You can call me Silver Moon. This dagger is my weapon, called 'Parasitic.' What you've seen is only one of my projections. Due to certain reasons, I had to make some choices, which is why you have the chance to meet me. As for my origins…"

She paused, then continued, "I once traversed the void, battling demon gods. I bound my essence to the Silver Moon and sealed Kunlun. If you can truly understand what that means, then you'll know what kind of existence I am."

Ryan was taken aback. Her words, "Traveled through the void, fought demon gods, and bound my essence to the Silver Moon to seal Kunlun," sounded mysterious and impressive. Even though he didn't fully understand what she meant, it certainly sounded powerful.

"But why are you helping me?" Ryan asked, still cautious. He could feel Silver Moon's strength, but that didn't mean he fully trusted her. After all, anyone in his position would want to know the true intentions of someone so mysterious before proceeding.

Silver Moon didn't directly answer Ryan's question. She muttered to herself, "Hmm... that is indeed a question."

"Well then, I'll come find you once I figure things out," Ryan said, preparing to leave.

As she was about to vanish, Ryan called out, "Wait…"

"What is it now?" Silver Moon said, her expression becoming annoyed.

Ryan hadn't expected her to suddenly turn so cold. He had wanted to speak with her more, to clarify things, and weigh his options. But now, her sudden change of demeanor caught him off guard.

"Why are you leaving so suddenly?" Ryan asked, his tone softening.

"Hmph! You think you can negotiate with me? You're still too inexperienced. Don't try to play mind games with me. Let me tell you, even if one day I take over your body, it would only prove that you didn't learn enough. Besides, I'm not even interested in you. Since you don't trust me, I can't be bothered to waste any more time with you," Silver Moon replied angrily.

Her words left Ryan stunned. "Right... I have no right to negotiate. Thinking back on these humiliating days, who would have wanted to negotiate with me? For someone like me, negotiating is a luxury."

After a moment of thought, Ryan realized, "Even if this person is arrogant and domineering, at least she saved my life. If she really has some ulterior motive, or even plans to take my life one day, then I'll just consider it as repaying her for saving mine."

He knew that if she could truly help him with his cultivation, at least he'd have a chance at changing his situation. Ryan took a deep breath and said, "As long as you're willing to teach me, I'll accept whatever comes, no matter the future."

Ryan stared at Silver Moon, making it clear he had made up his mind.

Silver Moon looked at Ryan and smiled. "Good! You've got some backbone. I like that. Only those who are tough on themselves deserve to reach the top."

Just as she was about to say something else, her brow furrowed slightly. "Your sister is coming. I'll come find you later. And remember, you can't tell anyone about me. Otherwise..." Silver Moon trailed off, leaving the threat unfinished.

Ryan nodded firmly.

He knew that anything capable of forcing a being like Silver Moon to intervene wasn't something he should take lightly. Even if she hadn't warned him, he had no intention of telling anyone.

"By the way, if you want to find me, just think my name in your mind. I'll sense it," Silver Moon added before disappearing into the pendant in a flash of light.
