Shower Time

Mila would have held her breath until she got home, but she would die at that rate. Yet, the heat and vibration from Zyran's body scared her worse than dying at that point. She could still hear Ken's bone crunching under Zyran's heavy punch.

The night was windy, people moving about with their daily lives, but inside one of the Montclair cars that now drove through the city road, the air was chilly, and a spine-breaking silence reigned in the car. Though the air was cold, Mila was still sweating.

Once she saw the lights outside surrounding a white block mansion, Mila immediately recognized it as Zyran's house. A forceful, noiseless gulp escaped Mila's throat as their car came to an abrupt stop and the door was opened for her.

Mila hated how the guards only knew how to open the door when she was in trouble. She slowly pushed her body and stepped down, seeing Zyran walking straight inside the house without turning back.
