The Impossible

That night, Mila had her shower and went straight to bed. She didn't try to think about being stubborn or even eavesdropping when Zyran started a phone call.

Not that she didn't want to, her body was too exhausted. The moment her head touched the bed, she flew into sleep world, not hearing anything else around her.

Zyran had his own bath and joined the girl in bed, but he didn't sleep immediately. He had calls from his company and then with his grandfather.

"Rayo," Alvaro spoke from the other end. "The vacation seems to be going well, right? Your grandmother's memorial is coming up soon, and you know your father… I mean, Wilson. He will be coming."

Zyran touched his forehead and nodded. "I know."

"Good, good. I know you're not weak. Just wanted to remind you. Take care then, son. Goodnight." Alvaro ended the call.
