Zyran's guess was wrong; stress did little to bring sleep to him. He had stayed awake half of the night and had resorted to working the rest of the night when he wasn't sleeping.
And when morning came, he was too tired to even leave his room. He spent most of his time going through the documents or contracts Alavro hadn't signed before he took over. Zyran spent so much time inside his workroom that he lost track of time.
For Mila, her day had begun well. She wasn't leaving the house because no designer came rushing in to help her dress. She had enjoyed her bath alone- no overstimulation or trying to smile for everyone.
The day couldn't be any more perfect.
She had tried to stay up the previous day but slept early, so she didn't know when Zyran returned home. Mila was glad; she didn't deliberate too much on following Zyran around. She didn't know exactly what came over her to even ask him.
