Dorian was slowly regaining his consciousness, and he felt a stinging pain at the back of his head; his senses were dull, but he could hear people talking.
"No, tell me Cheshire, just what did you see in the young boy's mind?" He couldn't tell who it was, the voice sounded so unfamiliar but he could tell it was a man.
"Alright, doctor," spoke an overly eager Cheshire. "There was this huge monster, in this cave somewhere, and it kept eating him
"How huge?"
"Like this big"
"Really? That's pretty huge"
"Yeah"
"And what else?"
"Well it kept eating him over and over again," Cheshire said, "he looked scary delicious, and the monster seemed to enjoy it, it all happened so fast but it felt like a day, you know"
"Ah yes, that dream time, my dear, it's the distorted reality of dreams"
"So what do you make of that, doctor?" Dorian recognized this one, it was Victoria.
"He has a monster to face there, I suppose; it must be a mental manifestation of gluttony. So many mysteries are contained within the immortal eyes, so I can't say for sure, there's very little knowledge on these things but I'll do my best to aid you all, in this fight but I won't be getting dirty
"Oh doc, doc," Cheshire was jumping and raising her hand to draw his attention, she seemed very excited
"Yeah, what is it, Cheshire?"
"I remembered something, the monster kept saying he didn't have any hunger"
"Hmmm, Hunger huh"
"Does it mean he can't get hungry? Poor kid, how does he enjoy his food, no wonder he eats so little."
"I doubt that's what it means, spoke another voice," Dorian figured it must be Hercules since it sounded so tough.
"As you'd know, you're just a big dummy"
" strike nine, seventy"
"Hey, you skipped two! That's not fair"
"Nine, seventy-five"
"I think it's best you keep quiet now, the doctor said."
Dorian opened his eyes, his vision was still fuzzy, his head hurt a bit and he remembered Hercules had punched him in the back of his head just after he finished eating.
"Hey," he said in a tired voice. "What's going on? "
"Doc, he's awake. Should I knock him out again? Cheshire manifested her hammer."
"No, that won't be necessary."
"
Dorian realized he was in chains, with both arms and legs bound, he saw all the war mothers seated around the room, and he recognized all of them but the strange doctor, and old man with silver hair that was brushed back, he looked like a classic description of a mad scientist and that troubled Dorian.
He knew something was about to happen to him but he couldn't tell what it was, then he remembered what Cheshire had told him when he woke up,
"It's gonna be a painful day, Mr sin."
The doctor turned to him and said, "Now, my boy, I hope you won't be offended by this, but we'll have to kill you now."
"What!?"
He looked around the room, and all the sisters looked at him with complete indifference except for Cheshire, who was smiling and wishing she would get the chance to do it.
But don't fear, it's for a good reason; we'd like you to plunge deep into your sleep state and awaken the immortal eyes; it'll be the only way you can survive this, for this is no ordinary poison. It attacks the life force, find the eye and I'll protect you?
"So you're just gonna kill me huh!" he shouted at all of them, he yanked the chain trying to break free
"There's no use; you'd have to channel the strength of Hercules to break out of that, not this one, the other one; it's magic, you see."
He looked at Victoria, and she had her eyes down, just like when he first saw her; he looked around the room, and Connie waved at him with a smile on her face.
The doctor prepared a needle with a blue substance inside it.
"Remember Dorian, your only way of surviving this is awakening the immortal eye."
"I'm not some guinea pig!" He yanked the chains. The doctor brought the needle closer to his body
Stay still now my boy
Come on, please, Victoria, what is this?
Cheshire laughed. Dorian tried to move back as the needle came closer and closer but the chains on his legs stopped him.
He tried shaking, but the doctor kept his hand with the needle steady, patiently waiting for the right moment to strike; he turned back to the sister and said.
"This is girls get ready!"
Victori drew out her sword, Connie manifested her glowing bow made out of pure energy, Cheshire was already holding her hammer and Hercules manifested what looked like red glowing brass knuckles but they were three times larger than an average brass knuckle which fitted her hand perfectly cause they were three times the size of the average woman.
They all took on a very serious demeanor even, it was then Dorian realized how large the place had gotten. In a flash, the whole scene had changed; he realized he was now at the center of what looked like a fighting arena.
How did it all change so fast? he wondered; it must be one of their powers.
The doctor stuck the needle between his ribs; Dorian twisted his face, and he felt a sensation of intense heat, like fire, moving from his ribs to his heart and throughout his entire body.
His head dropped back, and his consciousness faded; he saw himself falling into a sea of darkness as the doctor's words echoed in the dark.
"Find the immortal eye, it's your only hope"
He kept falling and falling deeper and deeper into the darkness, now and then he'd get flashes of the warmother trying to attack him, like he was engaged in battle with them, he would hear himself growling and Connie laughing in excitement.
Deep within the darkness as he fell, it didn't seem it'd come to an end it started to feel tranquil like a slow descent to paradise but The docs words echoed again
"Find the immortal eyes, it's your own hope"
Is death supposed to feel this good, he thought. He felt all his problems were gone now, everything he had been through, were all gone now, getting chewed up by the hellhound, getting bludgeoned by Estiah, it was all in the past now, no going back.
A flash of him holding Victoria by the throat floods his mind through his mind, the image scared him as he would not wish to hurt anyone.
What was that? That wasn't me, was it? That was…?
The hand he saw were large black hand with razor-sharp claws
It was me!
The image came again, this time she had blood running down her face
It was me, it was gluttony? No!
