Temple of Fox Fairy

Originally wanted to take the train to go, but the little fox does not have an ID card, so we can only take the black bus, take only demon out of the house is really quite troublesome, fortunately, she took on a human form is very realistic, other people think that she is a cos, or else I will have to let her turn into a fox and put it in the rucksack.

It was a bumpy ride and we arrived at 8pm, this Shili Gully is quite remote, the road was not even repaired and we were exhausted from the hike in.

As soon as you enter the village you can see the Dead Man's Gully, and there's a dilapidated old temple repaired above the Dead Man's Gully, which must be the Fox Fairy Temple that Stein was talking about.

Stein wasn't wrong, this dead man's ditch in the dark was indeed oozing, looking down it was oozing green, all floating will-o' - the - wisp, there was less water in the ditch but more rotting sludge, and there was a putrid smell that made you want to vomit.

It's none of our business if Dead Man's Gulch is scary, we're here to find the Temple of Fox Fairy, just don't bother with Dead Man's Gulch, and for all that Will-o' - the - wisp it won't float up, it keeps wandering in the gulch.

Stella is so intent on slaughtering the three-tailed fox that she doesn't even look at the dead man's gutter and walks right up to the Fox Fairy temple door.

The door was closed, but unlocked, and it was so worn out and covered in dust that it could probably fall over at the push of a button.

Stein wiped the dust from it and said that no one should have set foot in this temple for ten years, right? The dust is so thick it's not even there.

Without saying a word, Stella kicked the door open, and it fell towards the sides with a loud bang, but it didn't end up falling down, still half propped up.

"That's a pretty tough door." I laughed and tapped on the door.

Once inside, it was dark and we all switched on the flashlight function on our phones, and that's when it got a lot brighter.

It was dustier inside, but not as run down, at least the roof was good, but there were a lot of rats running around as if we'd startled them, squeaking all the time and then scurrying around.

There was a statue of a woman in the middle of the temple, she was dressed in an ancient white veil, her face was quite long, but wintry, and her figure was shapely, she had nine white tails behind her.

"Is this the Fox Fairy?" I said, frowning.

Little Fox is not like us, as soon as she saw Fox Fairy, she immediately knelt down and then kept kowtowing, for her, this is the god of the fox clan, there is no harm in worshipping more.

Stella was not interested in any of this, she kept sniffing around but seemed disappointed, I asked her what was wrong. She shook her head and said, "There's no demonic aura, the three-tailed fox didn't come."

It's over, I didn't find the right one, this three-tailed fox actually didn't hide here, damn it!

"Let's go back then!" I looked at the time, it wasn't too late to catch the last handful of cars.

"No, I'll wait it out for one night." Stella still wouldn't give up.

Well, since we're all here, let's squat for a night, just in case there's something to be gained.

But the thing is, it would be crazy to ask us to spend a night in a temple like this!

It's shabby, old, dusty and full of rats. How can I sleep?

Stella doesn't care, she jumps up on the Fox Fairy stage and then wipes it all over with a paper towel, saying that she'll just rest against the statue.

The little fox is a demon, even less will care about this, she not only chased the mouse to have fun, but also rolled all over the ground, the clothes on the body has been dirty into soot.

It's hard for Stein and I. The two of us put together a table, and then it took us a lot of effort to wipe it clean, but it wasn't enough for two people to sleep on, so I had to hold Stein and let him sleep on me. Luckily, there was no one else there, or else they would have said that we were hurting the morals of the world and would have dragged us both to the piggy bank.

Not to mention the others, even Stein himself was a bit squirmy, and he slept with his bum covered as if he was afraid I'd do something to him.

Despite the circumstances, the travelling was hard and we soon fell into a deep sleep, even the little fox was tired of playing and snoozed cuddled up against the pillar.

When I slept in the middle of the night, the wind suddenly picked up and it was very cold, after I shivered, the person woke up, Stein seemed to misunderstand something, and thought that I shivered because I did something to him, he mumbled half-asleep, "Little Boss, just this once, next time don't do it haha! Ugh, it's not easy to make a living, you have to get hitched to everything."

That made me want to hit him, but in the end I held back, I wanted to close that half-fallen door first, it was real cold when Temple got to the middle of the night.

I got up and then went to the door, but when I tried to close it, suddenly I saw what looked like Will-o' - the - wisp floating up over the Dead Man's Gulch, but it went out within a few moments, and then there were dark shadows crawling on the ground, and when I rubbed the shit out of my eyes to get a closer look, I realised that all the ones I'd just seen had disappeared.

Did you see the wrong thing in your sleep? I knocked my head and didn't take what I just saw to heart, because this temple is built to hold down the spirits of the dead underneath the dead man's ditch, even if there really are ghosts gawking at us, they shouldn't dare to come in, after all, this is the Fox Fairy Temple.

I closed the half-fallen door, there were some small cracks, but it was better than leaving it open, those cold winds pouring in, it was almost bone chilling.

I yawned and walked back to sleep cuddling Stein, but not even half an hour later, I was suddenly pushed awake by Stein, and I asked him what he was doing. It's the middle of the night, don't you really want to do something with me?

Stein said no, and he told me to listen to the door as if someone was there.

Someone? Don't be ridiculous, I checked the time, it's already 2:00 a.m. How could anyone possibly be here at this hour?

But when I pricked up my ears to listen, I really heard footsteps outside the door, as if there was a person walking around outside the door.

Impossible, this Dead Man's Gully is so evil, how can anyone come here in the middle of the night, even the Fox Fairy Temple wouldn't dare to come, it can't be a ghost, right?

As soon as she heard about the ghost, Stein turned white and blue with fear and rushed me to wake up Stella.

I told him not to panic yet, it's not certain whether it's a ghost or not. Even if it is a ghost, let's leave him alone, he doesn't dare to enter the Fox Fairy Temple, just let him walk around!

But at this moment, all of a sudden, the people outside... At the door.

"There's a knock on the door, there's a knock on the door, what do I do?" Stein was terrified.

I hastily touched out my Copper Coin Sword and said not to be afraid, if a ghost came in I would cut him with a sword.

"Who is it?" I asked towards the door instead of opening it.

"Can I borrow something?" The person outside the door replied, and by the sound of his voice, he seemed to be a middle-aged man.

Borrow something? Is this a human or a ghost? Would a ghost ask to borrow something so politely? Would a man show up here in the middle of the night and ask to borrow something?

  "Borrow what?" Stein asked warily.

"Borrow some needles and thread, have you?" The man outside asked again.

A needle and thread? Why do you need a needle and thread in the middle of the night? What's wrong with you?

I was suddenly curious and wanted to go out and see what the hell was out here, was it a human being or a ghost?
