Growing a Second Tail

The little fox ... is dead? I suddenly burst into a rage, the Copper Coin Sword in my hand making a snapping sound, before gritting my teeth at the cat resentful spirit standing on the high wall.

I ... must slaughter it! Must!

But just at this time, the little fox that suddenly fell into mid-air stopped, as if gravity had suddenly disappeared and time had suddenly stopped, and everything around it was terribly quiet, and as if the air had been drained, it was extremely weird.

Not only me, everyone was stunned, even the cat resentful spirit stood dumbfounded, looking at the little fox's body that stopped falling with a bewildered expression.

A few seconds later, a layer of white light suddenly rose from the little fox's body, then covered her just like a barrier, followed by a force that kept running.

There was power burrowing inside the little fox's body, while the body was growing outwards, fur, paws, tail, all of it.

"A blessing in disguise, a blessing in disguise, the little fox is going to advance." Stein said with a smile and clapped his hands.

Advancement? Advancement in what? I know the cause of the trouble, I just don't know what the blessing will be.

The white light made the little fox's body a little bigger, the wounds gradually healed most of them, and finally to my surprise, the little fox actually grew a second tail, she was now a two-tailed fox!

I get it, the little fox got promoted and grew during the vicious battle, she managed to advance at the last minute, she's now a two-tailed Fox Demon, her strength should have doubled.

In addition to this, she has also grown a lot physically, before about ten years old or less, now looks like about fourteen years old, very sweet looking, just the body is still a little bit ... and like many Fox Demon, the look with a little bit of winks, different from the previous milky look.

I didn't expect to progress into a two-tailed Fox Demon at this point in time, and as Stein said, it was a blessing in disguise!

When she was done, the little fox opened her eyes, she was a good deal better and fully awake, and she ... turned her head to look at the cat resentful spirit.

It seemed that the little fox took this fight very seriously, and no matter what happened tonight, either she would die or the catresentful spirit would die! She must prove herself by splitting the victory with Catresentful Spirit.

Now the two-tailed little fox, can she win against the cat resentful spirit?

"I'll scratch you to death you little stinky cat." The first thing the little fox did when she woke up was to pounce on the cat resentful spirit, she had grown up a little bit but her way of speaking was still so cute, her mind hadn't actually grown.

The little fox unfolded her sharp claws, then pounced towards the cat resentful spirit, her claws were like steel knives, they looked extremely scary, and they flashed with a cold light in the darkness of the night, they were completely different from just a moment ago.

The little fox slapped a paw at the cat resentful spirit, but the cat resentful spirit was as fast as ever, and it was agile enough to dodge it and counterpunch.

With a few clangs, the claws of the cat and the fox met, there were sporadic small fires that appeared, as well as a harsh wind, the little fox had been able to slightly keep up with the cat resentful spirit's speed, and their strength was equal, no, the little fox was stronger, and the claws scratched the cat resentful spirit to the left and to the right, because after a few rounds, the cat resentful spirit's claws couldn't carry it anymore, they kept shaking and even wore down badly.

The cat resentful spirit didn't dare to fight with the fox again, but wanted to rely on its speed to win, it kept scurrying around with extremely fast speed, then suddenly appeared behind the fox to launch a sneak attack.

"Hmph, still want to come up with this trick, let's show you our family's unique fox technique." The little fox hummed.

She suddenly pulled off a fox fur, then put it into her mouth and mouthed a spell, which was the first time I had ever seen a demon recite a spell.

After a few seconds, the little fox puffed up its cheeks, then spewed out a huge four-sided flame in one gulp.

  "Four Fury foxfire."

The four flames were like a square trapping the cat resentful spirit inside, with nowhere to escape, and the flames gradually surrounded and burned directly into a line.

"Meow ..." the cat resentful spirit yowled in pain, this time the little fox's foxfire was finally able to burn it and surrounded it with nowhere to run and burned it!

The foxfire burned violently on the catresentful spirit until it finally burned it until it evaporated and disappeared completely.

Another one dead, just like Stein said, can't even be reincarnated as an animal, this has to go up in smoke and never be reincarnated.

"Yay, I won, master." The little fox jumped straight down and hugged me, it's not the same as before, it feels different to hug, fourteen isn't too big but it's not small either.

"Hug me, hug me, I want a hug too, little fox, Stein hug." Stein hurriedly came over as well, extremely shameless!

"Fuck off!" I kicked him, then he automatically mellowed out and left, what's with being so good at taking advantage?

But that's when I realised that Zabaleta had disappeared and that the door to the house had closed at some point.

Stein says he just saw Zabaleta sneaking off without looking back.

This guy, who called us in and hid most of the facts, and lied to us and almost got us killed, and now he's escaped back and slammed the door on us, can I agree with that?

I gave Stein a look, the guy used to be a locksmith and could open any lock, he said give him an instant noodle and he could open the whole neighbourhood.

I told him to stop bragging, hurry up and open the door, and go back to bragging, so as not to delay business.

That's when Stein pulled out a piece of wire, and in no time at all the door clicked open! This guy does have something, no bragging, opens the lock faster than smoking a cigarette.

After going in, we started to look for it, but we couldn't find the Zabaleta's, and finally we found a dark switch in the corner of the attic, which was very hidden, or we found it by the little fox smelling the odour that the Zabaleta had left behind here just now.

Twisting a switch, it didn't take long for it to boom, and one of the attic walls opened up like a door, with a secret passageway underneath, and once inside, we heard two people whispering in what sounded like Zabaleta's voice.

"Wife, that group of people, it's ... a demon! It's even scarier than those resentful spirits!"

"Demons? No way! A demon dares to open a shop to give tattoos? It doesn't look like it to me!"

"I don't know, anyway, that little girl was particularly scary like a Fox Demon, and I just left them and came back and closed the door."

"You're confused, without Tattoos of Gods and Ghosts, what if those resentful spirits come for us again? Do you want to die?"

"So ... what then? Go up to them?"

"Nonsense, make up a lie and round it up later, it should be salvageable, didn't you say they killed both resentful spirits? Should be somewhat capable, doesn't matter if he's human or demon, just help us out."

  "Okay, so are you done?"

"It's long since done, the animal carcasses were moved here, along with the blood wiped up."

  "What about the spells?"

"The spell is on the rooftop, they can't see it, don't worry! And only a little trace will be left behind. They won't find it."
