The Shop of Endless Surprises

"One hundred spirit crystals for hot water? Isn't your shop a bit too outrageous?" Gu Yunxi said with a mix of disbelief and amusement.

She felt like this store was treating them like fools.

Yao Ziyan, already accustomed to such reactions, wasn't fazed at all. She chuckled softly and replied, "Once you use the hot water, you'll realize that even one hundred spirit crystals is a bargain. If you still feel it's not worth it afterward, you don't need to pay a single crystal."

Hearing this, the two girls couldn't argue further.

"That sounds fair," Jiang Wanshang conceded with a nod.

Under Yao Ziyan's guidance, they activated the hot water dispenser.

Hot water began to flow, accompanied by wisps of steam curling into the air. But neither Gu Yunxi nor Jiang Wanshang cared about the steam; their eyes were fixed on the water itself.

"Vitality spring water?! This is actually vitality spring water!"

Their astonished cries echoed through the shop.

"Of course," Yao Ziyan said casually. "I told you it was worth the price."

Gu Yunxi and Jiang Wanshang exchanged glances, both noticing the faint twitch in each other's expressions.

"Is this just worth the price? No, this is an absolute steal!"

Vitality spring water was exceedingly rare, and whenever it appeared at auctions, its price was astronomical. Even with their high statuses, they could never afford to use it so casually.

"How do you feel now?" Yao Ziyan asked with a knowing smile. "Still think one hundred spirit crystals is too much?"

The two girls nodded vigorously.

Not just reasonable—this price was practically a giveaway.

"Now that the water's added, you just need to wait five minutes," Yao Ziyan instructed.

Leaving the instant noodles to soak, Gu Yunxi and Jiang Wanshang wandered back to the shelves.

If the instant noodles had such an incredible effect, the rest of the shop's products must be just as extraordinary, if not more so.

The two carefully read through the descriptions of other items.

Soon, the sound of sharp intakes of breath filled the air.

"Instant recovery from injuries? Boosting cultivation levels? Even restoring vitality?!"

Both of them stared in shock at the shelves.

These items could easily fetch astronomical prices at any major auction. Yet here, the cheapest one was being sold for just ten spirit crystals.

And as for the products capable of restoring life… neither of them had even heard of such a thing.

"This store just keeps surprising me," Gu Yunxi said, her voice tinged with amazement.

"Too bad," Jiang Wanshang sighed, a trace of regret in her eyes. "The shop rules only let us buy one of each item per day."

As a wealthy young lady, Jiang Wanshang carried tens of thousands of spirit crystals with her. If not for the shop's strict rules, she would've bought as many items as possible.

Unfortunately, the shop's owner was inflexible when it came to his rules.

Gu Yunxi seemed to share the same sentiment.

Their gaze shifted to Luo Chuan, who was engrossed in the Tower of Trial. A trace of resentment flickered in their eyes.

Meanwhile, within the Tower of Trial, Luo Chuan, oblivious to their looks, suddenly shivered for no apparent reason. Confused, he paused for a moment before brushing it off and refocusing on the monster in front of him.

"I'll buy a pack of spicy strips and a bottle of cola!" Gu Yunxi declared.

"Me too!" Jiang Wanshang added.

Both of them glanced longingly at the Jelly Dew on the shelf.

Priced at one hundred thousand spirit crystals, it was far beyond their current budgets.

Still, they weren't completely discouraged. If they couldn't afford it now, they could always borrow spirit crystals from their fellow students—surely some of them had enough!

Yao Ziyan nodded and completed their purchases, smiling as the two happily paid their spirit crystals.
