Rules of the Origin Mall

"I'm going to buy everything here!" Wei Yi declared, his eyes blazing with excitement and determination.

The thought of bringing these miraculous goods back to Medicine Valley filled him with ambition. Such a haul would undoubtedly secure him great prestige and recognition.

However, Liu Ruyu shot him a sharp glare, her voice dripping with sarcasm. "Oh, Wei Yi, such a big appetite you have! Do you think it's that simple?"

Wu Ying, standing quietly nearby, narrowed his eyes. A subtle yet dangerous aura began to emanate from him, a silent warning to anyone who might cross the line.

Despite their camaraderie, the allure of such extraordinary goods was enough to dissolve any alliance. Faced with such treasures, even the closest of allies could become rivals.

"Ahem."

Yao Ziyan's soft cough cut through the tense atmosphere like a blade. Her calm demeanor belied the gravity of the situation, but it was enough to make all three freeze in place.

Only then did they remember where they were—inside the Origin Mall, a place governed by beings they could never hope to challenge.

The trio reluctantly suppressed their rising hostility, though the wariness in their eyes remained.

"Fighting is strictly prohibited in the store," Yao Ziyan said, her voice as light as a feather yet carrying an undeniable authority. "Violators will be blacklisted from the Origin Mall."

Her words were simple, but the weight behind them was palpable. The threat of being banned from such a place was far more terrifying than any punishment they could imagine.

"In addition," Yao Ziyan continued, "the store's rules are clearly posted over there. I suggest you familiarize yourselves with them."

She gestured toward a small whiteboard hanging on the wall, covered with neatly written characters.

"The store has rules?" Wei Yi muttered, his curiosity piqued.

The three turned their attention to the whiteboard.

"These rules are... a lot," Wei Yi commented, his expression twitching. Even the strict traditions of Medicine Valley weren't this excessive.

"Everyone can only buy each item once per day? Isn't that ridiculous?" Liu Ruyu frowned, her delicate brows knitting together. "It's like standing before a mountain of treasure but being told you can only take a single piece!"

She couldn't hide the frustration in her voice. How could anyone accept such a limitation?

"The rules are set by the boss," Yao Ziyan replied with a sly smile, casually shifting the attention. "If you have any complaints, you can take them up with him."

All three of them turned to look at Luo Chuan, who had been lounging nearby.

Hearing Yao Ziyan's words, Luo Chuan couldn't help but roll his eyes. She was definitely becoming cheeky.

Having spent the entire morning lazing in his recliner, Luo Chuan figured it was time to stretch his legs. He rose leisurely and approached the group, his expression calm yet commanding.

"Do you have any issues with the store's rules?" he asked, his voice devoid of emotion but carrying an unmistakable weight.

Luo Chuan's presence alone seemed to drain the air of tension. His aura, subtle yet oppressive, left Wei Yi and Liu Ruyu momentarily speechless.

But Wu Ying, known for his straightforwardness, nodded and said, "Yes. I find these rules unreasonable."

Wei Yi and Liu Ruyu's jaws nearly dropped.

Not only had Wu Ying dared to voice his complaint, but Luo Chuan didn't appear the least bit angered.

What the two didn't realize was that as long as no one broke the rules of the Origin Mall, Luo Chuan didn't particularly care. By nature, he was a laid-back person who adhered to his principle: Do not provoke me, and I will not provoke you. Offend me, and the consequences will be a hundredfold.

"Where exactly are the rules unreasonable?" Luo Chuan asked calmly, his tone inviting discussion rather than conflict.

Wu Ying was momentarily taken aback by the response but quickly composed himself. "I can understand most of the rules. But why are we limited to purchasing just one of each product per day?"

Luo Chuan's gaze remained steady as he answered, "Without such a rule, every customer would be like you—trying to buy out the entire inventory. What would be left for others?"

Wu Ying paused, his earlier certainty wavering.

Now that he thought about it… Luo Chuan's reasoning was hard to argue against.

"Well... that does make sense," Wu Ying admitted reluctantly.

Wei Yi and Liu Ruyu exchanged glances, realizing just how meticulously the rules of the Origin Mall were designed.

It wasn't about limiting them. It was about ensuring fairness for all.
