After eating, Aira walked the sleepy Atlas and Altair to their room on the second floor. Altair was falling asleep in the middle of walking so Aria picked her up while holding Atlas hand.
"Momma what're we doing tomorrow?"
Atlas asked while rubbing his eyes with his hand. This caused Altairs ears to perk up, after all what could be more exciting than the next day.
"Mommy are we gonna play again!?"
Altair asked excitedly. Aira looked down at Altair in her arms wondering 'So having fun and playing games gets you up right away haha.' and inwardly shaking her head.
"Sorry sweet peas but tomorrow will be a learning day. You'll learn about maths, writing and about little bit of our surrounding area. It will be in your best interests to sleep well tonight and no playing after i put you to bed, understand?"
"Yes momma" "Yes mommy"
Both replied unenthusiasticly but even at a young age knew it was in their best interest.
"Momma will be teaching us right?"
"Sorry little man but mommas got some important things to do tomorrow so i won't be but i'll be back before you even know it"
"Ek will it be Auntie Arian?"
"Mommy nooo, Auntie Arian is a bigger kiss monster than mommy"
Their protest where met with a laugh from Aira. Approaching the door to kids room, Aira set Altair down and gave both of them a good rub on their heads.
"You know your Auntie love you guys a whole bunch, just be good for her and listen to what she says okay?"
Both nodded and started to walk into their room. Their room had a big window to the left upon entering with a wide view of the landscape painted by the setting sun. Below the window where a few toys and easy to read books. Opposite to the window there where two twin sized beds pushed together facing it with night stands to both sides of the bed. On the empty wall there's a closet and dresser that held their clothes.
Atlas and Altair climbed up into their beds. Atlas sheets and cover theme being black colored with azure blue dragons on it. Altairs theme was white with azure blue dragons.
Aira pulled the covers up on both of them and got them comfortable.
"Mommy can you tell us that one story?"
"Which one honey bun?"
"The one about the young dragon and the princess!"
"Tair not again, it's been every night"
"But bruder pleaseeee.."
"Fine but i get to choose tomorrow night okay?"
With and excited nod Altair let him choose tomorrow night. With a chuckle Aira started telling the story.
"There once was a young dragon who lived with his family on a mountain. One day hunters came to his house to hunt his parents and kidnap him. The dragon only being 30 years old, it sounds old kiddos but dragons age differently than humans do so he was around your age mentally. He ran from the mountains to escape the hunters while his parents held them off. While running down the mountain in his human form he tripped and fell till he was eventually caught by a river. The river took him far away from the mountain and he washed up near a bank by a road.
A princess just so happened to be passing by in her carriage and they had stopped to camp for the night by the river. While her soldiers and guards where setting up the came she went down to the bank and happened to find a young boy out cold washed up on the river side. She called for her guards to help get him to a tent and to get his wounds treated. She was a very nice and magnanimous person after all.
A few hours later after some healing and resting the young boy woke up and the princess ran into the tent to talk with him alone.
She asked the boy how he managed to end up in the river and he told her that his parents where being hunted and he had to run away. After taking pity on the young boy with dark azure hair and eyes she made him her right hand man and they became the best of friends afterwards.
Upon arrival at her palace he was looked down upon by the others because he stood out too much with his azure hair and eyes. This made him work harder to stay by the side of the girl that helped him at his weakest. A few years later he slowly gained notoriety and that helped in in finding out what had happened to his parents…
Oh they're out cold again haha guess we'll finish this another time my sweet peas."
Aira looking at the twins that where out cold while holding hands made her smile. Leaning over she gave them a kiss on the forehead and blew out the candles on the night stands. Afterwards she made her way to the door taking a double look to make sure they where asleep and softly closed the door behind her.
…
In a small room with grey murky transparent walls, lit by a lamp, sat a sofa at the middle with a coffee table in front of it. Two kids around the age of 4 where standing in front of the grey wall with their hands cupped over their eyes trying to look through the wall.
"Atty what do you think it is?"
"Not sure Tair, i only see shelves with books on them."
"Me too, should we tell mommy about our dream?"
Taking his face off the murky transparent grey walls Atlas shook his head.
"Not until we know more Tair or momma won't believe us."
He made his way to the sofa and sat down. Altair took her face off the glass and followed suit and sat down next to him. They both looked at the coffee table in front of them that had a quite a few books on it.
"Say Tair, aren't these the books momma read to us?"
Nodding her head Altair picked up one of the books that was an easy to read kids story book.
"Yes see bruder"
She said while point to the title of the book that read 'The Ugly Duckling"
"The others are the same as well. I wonder what it could be Tair.."
"Maybe we like mommas stories so much we dream about them hehe"
Giving up thinking about it he shook his head and together on the couch started reading through the stories together.
They had been having the same dream since they where young and didn't think much about it because they wouldn't remember it by the time they woke up. But since they turned 4 years old they started to remember their dream better and what they did during it.
Sometimes they stay up till morning reading and other times play games with themselves to have fun. Sometimes they just sit on the sofa, talk, nap or just enjoy the presence of each other. They don't feel the need to eat here or use the rest room here.
Recently they learned if they hold hand before bed they'd remember their dream the next morning a lot clearer than what they would if they didn't not. If they also hold their hands together they could wish for something to play with but wouldn't be there the next night upon entering.
"Bruder what should we call this place?"
"Hmm what do you think of the book room since there's always books here?"
"What about the grey room bruder?"
"That sounds like a scary place and saying the name makes me uncomfortable for some reason."
Altair nodded her head and both started to think of a name that they could call their dream which they share together.
"Oh Oh bruder i know, what about 'fun place'!"
Shaking his head Atlas patted her head and said
"Is that all you think of sister? Having fun is nice but a grey room is kinda bland to be named a fun place no?"
"Hehe bruders right"
"What about just 'our dream' for now Tair? I feel like there's more to this place besides grey walls"
Nodding her head she agreed and leaned her head on his shoulder as they continued to read the book they had picked up.
…
On the other side of the grey walls a man with grey hair and teal aqua eyes was watching the twins share their time together.
'They've been showing up a lot more lately… It was supposed to be just one but it seems two is in fact better than one. I hope they will live a good life and i'll be by their side to make sure that nothing will happen to them. Haha who would've thought and our first time being born as a twin too!'
Lowering his head at the last sentence his voice came out somber.
'I'll remember so you don't have to young ones, don't worry about a thing and use what i have here when you grow older.'
He thought with a light smile on his face and disappeared.
