Yur was born a slave. He lived in chains and pain--until the day he was sent to his death. But at death’s door, Yur learned a shocking truth: He wasn't a simple human.

Rearing Demons

With the first ritual circle now complete, Yur waited for the newly created guards to awaken.

"Velmira, did you find out where the Luminous Heart cultivators are?" he asked.

She shook her head. "So far, there's no news. Even when I try sensing them, nothing comes up. I'm assuming they're not in the city."

"That's fine, then." If they were here, it would have complicated things. He needed them for a separate task, so killing them now was out of the question. "What about your breakthrough? What do you need for it?"
