Isabella’s POV
“I’ll be staying late today,” I told the guard as I stepped through the door he held open. “I’ll call you when I’ll call you when I’m ready, so no need to wait around.”
“Yes, ma’am,” the guard nodded.
I hurried through the lobby of Hart Headquarters and made my way to the private elevator that would take me straight to the top floor to Ethan’s office. I nodded to the few people I passed along the way. It was still too early for most of the regular staff to arrive, but both the security and cleaning staff were already milling about.
Ever since that day when I’d confronted Michael with the Elder Seal, it had been impossible to keep my identity hidden, which was just as well, since I was now working in Ethan’s stead. As a result, whenever I visited the offices of numerous companies under the Hart Corporation, most people now knew who I was.
The Headquarters was the office I spent most of my time in these days, but I haven’t been here for the past three days.
