"I’m okay, Beta." Tori tilted her head back a bit, the corners of her mouth turning up with a laid-back look in her eyes. "I’ve been relaxing like I was told to."


"It's a nice day out. Why don't you be a sweetheart and take Tori for a spin?" Kas bounced in front of me, clutching my arm tightly. "Beta Jace, you know you're the best brother ever, and I know you can't say no to me."


"I bet it's you who is itching to get out and have some fun." I put on a fake frown, my eyebrows scrunching up a little, but deep down I knew it wouldn't faze her. "All right, but just this one time."


"Awesome! Thanks a million!" Kas's eyes lit up like fireworks, and she embraced me tightly.


"What do you say we go out for a little jaunt with Kas?" I turned to Tori.


Tori nodded, her hair swaying with the movement.
