Breaking Through to 2nd Level Of Qi-Refining Realm

After two hours, Arjun looked at the opened pill furnace with sad face. 

Arjun succeeded in extracting the spiritual properties of the herbs, he tried to gather the liquid into shape of a small marble sized balls, but his spiritual control wasn't enough and, in the end, just the moment he started he failed. 

But it is very rare for people being even to be able to extract the spiritual properties on first try, one should have a very high talent for alchemy to do this.

The Solar Radiance shield was really hard to master and he can't maintain it for too long even with his total spiritual energy surpassing those at second stage of Qi refining realm. 

According to his estimates normally those at mid-level Qi refining stage can only master it, so for him to master the technique, he needed to breakthrough in cultivation level. 

Arjun didn't have any classes the next day so, he practices the Solar Radiance Shield and didn't try to refine pills. 

After two weeks, early in the morning. Arjun is now cultivating; he has reached the peak of 1st stage Qi refining stage. 

His spiritual energy reserves were comparable to those at third level of Qi refining stage. 

Today Arjun was trying to breakthrough to the 2nd level, Arjun even bought a bottle of Clear Heart Pill for 15 low grade spirit stones. 

He took one pill from the bottle and decided to give the remaining two to the three girls.

Today, he did not have alchemy classes, so he wanted to try to refine dieting pills once again. 

He went to the alchemy room to refine pills. 

First, he lighted the spiritual fire after that he took out Mystical Jade Essence Cauldron and placed it on the fire, after placing it on the fire he started to add the raw materials one by one. 

Finally, after half an hour he added the Spirit grass, which was the last and main ingredient in refining dieting pills and started to extract the spiritual properies. 

Now that he brokethrough to the second level his control over Spiritual energy has increased and naturally the extracting process was smooth compared to before the breakthrough. 

After that he started to temper and mix the spiritual properties, and after some time he arrived at most crucial part, which was to condense the pills. 

Arjun concentrated his whole focus on the furnace and fifteen minutes later, the furnace opened with a pop and when the smoke settled there were two pills and some black ash type residue. 

One of the two pills was perfectly round and had no cracks in it, indicating that it is qualified to be a low-quality pill. 

The other pill had some cracks in it but its richness was almost comparable to that of the low-quality pill. 

The black ash was nothing but the impurities and the medicinal properties which failed to take the shape of the pill. 

Arjun was right now grinning from ear to ear after looking at the result because this was the last of the 4 sets of raw materials he bought. 

"Maybe, I can successfully become an alchemist in another week or two, this is mainly due to this furnace" Arjun was in a very happy mood right now. 

"But I can only show the outside world that I have become an alchemist only after one and half month", Arjun planned this because he wanted to be a genius for whom sect might extend some protection but he didn't want to be too outstanding and gain unknown attention. 

 In the novels he read, the MC fights a person or two every day, and those MCs were able to do that because they were able to breakthrough multiple realms within the span of hours. 

While he took a month and half to just breakthrough another level, this was also possible because of only two factors, his innate talent was already outstanding, although not comparable to those heavenly geniuses, he can still breakthrough and maybe achieve immortality if he cultivates peacefully. 

The second reason is due to the 2nd level top grade spirit vein of the Celestial mist peak. Without this he will not be able to breakthrough this fastly, he would have taken at least six months to breakthrough.
