Meliza's POV
The moment the wedding planner arrived, my days blurred into a whirlwind of preparations. She meticulously went over every detail, but I found myself nodding absently rather than truly listening.
I didn't change anything, just as Eli had suggested—not because I liked the arrangements but because I didn't care. I wasn't as excited as Ruby had been before her wedding. She had married Vince out of love, glowing with happiness and anticipation.
But my wedding was different. It wasn't about love. It was a transaction—a necessary sacrifice.
"Are you sure there is nothing you want to change or add?" the wedding planner asked, her voice breaking through my thoughts.
I forced a small smile and shook my head. "No, everything is fine."
She nodded, jotting something down in her planner before looking up at me again. "Then, you should fit your gown now. It has been prepared even before you arrived."
