Ethan's POV
"You need to take her back before Elijah comes looking for her, Ethan," Vince said, his voice edged with concern. His brows furrowed, his unease evident in the tight set of his jaw.
I met his gaze, unwavering. "Leave everything to me," I said coolly. "You have nothing to worry about."
Vince didn't look convinced. His expression darkened as he exhaled sharply, clearly frustrated with my stubbornness.
I knew what he was thinking.
He had warned me about this more times than I could count. It reminded me—again and again—that keeping her here was reckless and that delaying her return to Elijah would only lead to problems I wasn't prepared to handle.
And yet, I ignored him because I didn't care. I wanted her here.
I wanted her and Jessa to stay and enjoy their time at my villa without the suffocating grip of expectations or consequences. For once, I tried to forget everything else.
