Chapter 15 Entrance Exam Begin

Sarah Hilan hadn't expected that after she had just distanced herself from Ethen Cole, he would be sitting in Alan Saffa's niece's Mercedes in the blink of an eye.

She felt a pang of heartache and regret.

"This..."

Sarah Hilan felt a sudden loss of strength.

She crouched at the entrance of the alley and couldn't stand up for a long time.

Under the orchestration of Alan Saffa, the Main Base Examination Center expedited the approval of Ethen Cole's qualification for the college entrance exam through special procedures the day before the exam.

That evening at 9 PM, Ethen Cole received his admission ticket at the base examination center.

Instantly, tears filled his eyes.

The saying goes, "Mountains and rivers may block the way, yet another village appears amidst the willows and flowers."

Ethen Cole expressed his deep gratitude to Director Alan Saffa and Aina Saffa, who had provided him with immense help.

"Alright, you have the exam tomorrow, Aina Saffa, take Ethen Cole home early so he can rest," Alan Saffa advised.

"Okay, Third Uncle," Aina Saffa agreed readily.

After bidding farewell to Alan Saffa, she drove Ethen Cole back to his home in the shantytown with the Mercedes.

...

The next morning, before dawn, Ethen Cole got up and finished washing.

After feeding Blux breakfast, he took Blux with him to school.

The school had arranged buses to transport the students to the examination center.

On the bus for Class 5 of Grade 12, the atmosphere was somewhat silent.

Most of the students felt extremely tense.

After all, today's exam would determine the course of their lives.

The outcome of today's exam will determine whether one successfully enters the University of Battle Pets and rises above others or falls to the bottom of society, enduring hardship for a lifetime.

"Students, look! The wild geese are flying across the sky..."

In an attempt to ease the students' nerves, the homeroom teacher, Mr. Nasrul, pointed earnestly at the formation of wild geese outside the bus window, speaking cheerfully.

"Come on, Mr. Nasrul, that joke is too lame."

"Exactly, we're about to enter the exam hall, who cares about wild geese right now?"

...

Mr. Nasrul's words did not lighten the atmosphere; instead, they elicited quite a bit of complaining. Nevertheless, he persevered, racking his brain for jokes to tell, even though they weren't particularly funny.

Ethen Cole sat in the last row of the bus.

He quietly watched the scenery swiftly passing by outside the window while gently stroking Blux.

Inside, he was quite nervous as well.

Even though Blux now possessed great strength, this was the college entrance exam, and there was no room for negligence.

"Years of effort all come down to today," Ethen Cole thought to himself as he took a deep breath.

After a forty minute drive, the group arrived at the examination site: the "No. 8 Battle Pet Testing Center."

Test Center No. 8 is located on the outskirts of the base, relatively remote, and was constructed by the government to specifically test the capabilities of battle pet trainers.

After getting off the bus, the students of Class 5, Grade 12, lined up to register their identity information at the service point at the entrance of the test center.

Coincidentally, the queue next to them was Class 6, Grade 12.

Mr Nasrul immediately spotted the genius girl, Diana Nor.

Diana Nor still wore her fresh and neat ponytail.

Perched on her shoulder was the Arctic Ice Sculpture.

With its keen eyesight, the Arctic Ice Sculpture quickly noticed Ethen Cole and Blux and greeted them warmly.

Upon hearing this, Diana Nor turned her head and caught Ethen Cole's gaze.

"Ethen Cole, good luck with your exam! I hope to see you at the Elite Battle Pet Academy," Diana Nor said with a generous smile.

Diana Nor, being a school beauty of goddess like status, took the initiative to greet Ethen Cole, which surprised the students waiting in line nearby.

None of them had expected Diana Nor, whom they usually admired from afar, to be so friendly with Ethen Cole.

Many of the boys felt a surge of jealousy.

Even Mr. Nasrul, who was busy helping students fill out forms nearby, was taken aback and gave Ethen Cole a surprised look.

Mr. Nasrul was unaware of Blux's rapid advancements in strength.

He thought the Blux was still the same weak little "Blue Riolux" it was before, with almost no attacking power.

He chuckled to himself, reflecting, "Ethen Cole's battle pet might not be impressive, but he's certainly got a knack for winning over girls, very reminiscent of my own style back in the day."

Regardless of how others reacted, Ethen Cole had a positive impression of Diana Nor.

At that moment, he cheerfully waved his fist at Diana Nor, saying, "You too, good luck! See you at the Elite Battle Pet Academy!"

Elite Battle Pet Academy?

Hearing Ethen Cole's words, most students rolled their eyes at him.

Given the level of Hilltop High School, fewer than ten students manage to get into the Elite Battle Pet Academy each year.

When the goddess like Diana Nor said she aimed to enter the Elite Battle Pet Academy, it was seen as confidence.

But for Ethen Cole, it was perceived as sheer audacity!

Ethen Cole paid no heed to the eye rolls from others, as he was well aware of his own abilities.

For him, his previous dream was to enter a second tier battle pet academy.

But now that Blux had grown stronger, the Elite Battle Pet Academy was within reach.

"Class 6, Grade 12, Diana Nor, please come forward for registration!" called the examination staff responsible for registration.

Diana Nor had no time to continue her conversation with Ethen Cole. After a quick nod, she hurried to register.

Soon, Ethen Cole also completed his registration and exchanged his admission ticket for an identification token to enter the examination hall.

An exam rules booklet was also handed to Ethen Cole.
