Love and Enemy. Lila pov

I called Leo, telling him what he did for me was too much.

"How do you like your new office?" Leo asked, his voice carrying a mix of amusement and curiosity.

Instead of sitting in his chair, he leaned against the desk, arms casually crossed, watching me with an intensity that made my stomach flutter. I sat in the plush chair across from him, trying to ignore the way his gaze lingered.

He looked at me as if he might kiss me if I let him. And I… I couldn't stop smiling.

Then, with a slow, deliberate motion, he reached out and tucked a loose strand of my hair behind my ear.

A subtle kind of flirting.

"Splendid," I admitted. "But you didn't have to do all this. Especially considering I'll only be here for a short while."

"Oh, damn. I never thought of that."
