Chapter 3: Guilhars

"Don't tease me like that again big bro!"

"No seriously, who are you?"

Pouting, the little girl runs off. Thinking that she might have mistaken him for someone, he shrugs it off. but after taking a minute, the same girl came back, with a pout on her face, and a much taller girl appeared right behind her. She was wearing the same clothes as the little girl, but bigger and more ragged. Her hair is dyed jet-black along with brown colored eyes, but she looked extremely pale, as if she is extremely ill.

"Hehe, that joke was a little too mean to Sia. But you are back already? I thought you said you wouldn't be able to see us for another week."

Startled, Sol was about to respond to the seemingly young women, until he spotted a family portrait near the door, freezing him in place. It was a seemingly black and white portrait of a seemingly happy family, consisting of five people. Two adults, presuming the parents, whos' head was missing, and three children. Two of them looking quite similar to the two girls currently in front of him, but what shocked Sol the most was that the boy was eerily similar to him. Scrutinizing the boy more carefully, he came to an conclusion, that boy indeed wasn't him, after all, he doesn't have a family.

"Sol? Are you ok? You are spacing out dummy."

What the hell! So it is me?! Who else would have a name as weird as mine, seriously!

"Ahaha, I was just tired you know."

"Oh right! Sorry, you were in your own little world again, I completely forgot."

Quickly urging Sol to sit on the couch she commanded Sia to bring a drink. While the little girl was gone, Sol wanted to tell her the truth, but couldn't figure out where to start. Should he tell her about being killed? No! That would seriously cause them to worry, but how else would he explain that he lost his memory? And was this actually his family? He seriously doesn't recall them.

Frustrated, he wanted nothing more than to pull his hair out, but before he could act, Sia came back with a black bubbly drink with ice on top on a metal tray. Delighted, Sol couldn't wait to drink Kola, but he still felt a little guilty because he genuinely didn't remember who they were, and still thought they were mistaking him for someone else.

Taking a drink of the Kola, Sol felt the bubbling and the coldness of the drink rush into his mouth, refreshing him instantly, and in the middle of his delight, a thought suddenly popped into his mind.

!!!

Now that I think about it further, the little boy doesn't just look like me, but in fact is me. But why can't I remember these two? I surely remember Ares but why not of my own supposedly family?

Noticing that this dummy was once again in a trance, the women started to show a hint of deep concern on her face. Recalling what her little sister said to her, she seriously started to worry about whether something serious happened while on his trip that caused him to return prematurely.

"Hey Sol, did something happen on trip that you didn't tell us?

"No no, we just finished ahead of schedule so we returned."

Not believing him, the girl got up from the soft light-gray couch, where she started moving to the doorway, but before she fully disappeared from his sight, Sol noticed a huge grin on her face. Puzzled, he thought it may have been because of his return, or someone else, after all he isn't one hundred percent convinced on this. He needed to further investigate this.

Not before long, he noticed a toddler running towards him with the brightest smile that would even put a shining star to shame, eventually reaching him and embracing him in the tightest hug she can muster.

"Hehe, you sure told a big lie bro!"

"I wasn't lying though?"

"Hmph, of course you weren't, now go hurry up and buy her a cake. Hehe, she says she doesn't want anything special for graduating college, what liars you two are, don't you know lying is bad?"

Dumbfounded, Sol could only nod his head profusely while saying she is one hundred percent right. After finishing his sentence, he quickly told the little girl that he was going out to find a bakery.

"Make sure the cake is delicious bro!"

Waving his hands, Sol eagerly walked out of the building, hoping to put an end to this mess, and once out, he looked back, staring at the sign.

Leia's laundry... Leia. The name seriously doesn't ring a bell, but the building sure does look familiar.

Putting this matter to the side, Sol remembered he saw a bakery earlier when walking, the only challenge was whether he could find it again or not.

Sigh, My memory sure is getting horrible, old age is finally catching up to me. Wait no, I'm 21, no, 23? Whatever.

"Sia, I think you're right, he really was acting weird. He usually teases you but he wouldn't say something like that."

"Yeah, and he didn't call me pumpkin today, no way that's big bro! He always calls me pumpkin!"

Deep in thought, she decided it would be better to put the matter aside, knowing that their brother was hiding something from them. She only had one thought come to her mind.

Let's just wait and see Sia, let's just wait and see.

***

In an office, there were four people, two of them were wearing a dark blue and gray uniform with a matching hat, while the two other people had dark suits, so dark that it looked like the night descended onto this planet. One of them had brown cane, and he can be seen shaking his head while the other person had glasses, and he was laughing hysterically, occasionally coughing and putting his hands on his stomach.

"Sir, if we were aware that it was you guys, we wouldn't have wasted your time, we apologize greatly." said one of the officers.

"No no, though this situation is very ridiculous, it was out of good intentions. Never knew that the Guilhars would ever be accused of being a cultist."

"Would you like us to find him for you guys? We already have all the information about him that we need."

"No need, you guys have already done your job, you can go back and rest now, we will take care of the rest."

"Yes sir!"

Sigh, "Amon, bring Lucy, it's time to meet him again."
