Henry's POV

We stood in the dining room after telling the others not to come out and to hide in their rooms. This time, there was no pressure to save anyone, as I was ready—even welcoming of the danger.

My speed and strength were already beyond that of a typical human, but to further serve my master and to keep him safe, I would love to possess a power similar to his.

We didn't know if leveling up would bring us to a point where we could control the elements or something else, but a specific supernatural range had to occur when we considered the ability Kenny had.

"Soon." He said, this time he was here just for company and to taser me, not to save someone else.

The last shadow had been more proficient with the vision it had shown me: my sister dying and Kenny turning out to be her murderer—it was not exactly fun, especially when the roles reversed and Kenny died in front of me, with my sister becoming his murderer.
