Henry's POV

"No. I swore an oath." The old man blurted out.

"Mhm, and I want you to be true to it. I want you to save this child with me. Or do you want to wake him up and ask him to slit his throat?" Moreover, even if we managed to outsmart the child into doing something that went so far against nature, if he did so without deciding for himself, it'd be questionable if it would even work. The first time I had killed myself while possessed, my forehead had hurt like hell, and so it was each time I did it, just that it was getting less and less painful.

If my time in school hadn't failed me, the part of the brain where decisions were made is sitting at the forehead. I think expelling the shadow has something to do with activating this area.
