"The most mysterious organisation in the continent. Of all the princes,my seventh brother is the most mysterious of them and he has always been elusive about his whereabouts. I have fought on the battlefield since the age of twelve because of him. He has been investigating the Shadow guild for many years now and all I can say is that this organisation has existed for many years now. It's strength is terrifying, " Tai Jian said as he picked a flower. Tie Hongchen stared at him as if urging him to go on." I have been fighting this organisation in the dark for a few years now and have managed to make them suffer a few losses but they have finally managed to touch on what I value. This organisation is deeply rooted in the continent and even my father is under their control against his will. I want to help my father but they are watching me so I cannot make a move. There are shadows everywhere. This is their motto so it is hard to escape from them and I cannot escape from their gazes. My martial arts are strong and so are yours. You started investigating them so they used you to test me and see if I pose a threat to them but our fathers intervened which annoyed them so we had to pay a price which is why we had to abolish our martial arts but that was not necessarily a bad thing," Tai Jian said trying to sound mysterious." What do you mean?" Tie Hongchen asked." You have been practicing martial arts since you were young so I guess you have heard of the martial arts from the ancient times, right?" Tai Jian asked." You have one?" Tie Hongchen asked." I indeed have one but it requires two people to practice it," Tai Jian said without a change in his expression." Dual cultivation?" Tie Hongchen coldly asked." Don't get it the wrong way. It doesn't need us to do that. It requires us to practise it together so as to neutralise each other's energy. If we practice it separately then we would be unable to deal with the overbearing energy," Tai Jian said as he passed over another scroll over to Tie Hongchen. Tie Hongchen did not bother reading the scroll and just kept it." When do we start?" Tie Hongchen asked." Tonight," Tai Jian replied causing Tie Hongchen's brows to furrow." Don't misunderstand. There are fewer shadows at night and no one would want to intrude into a couple's room in the night," Tai Jian said as he stared at Tie Hongchen. Tie Hongchen relaxed after hearing his explanation but she still did not lower her guard. The two then walked in the flower garden and only went back to the palace when the sun was already setting and darkness was beginning to shadow the continent. Tai Jian's palace had few servants and the meals were always personally prepared by Tai Jian as he had developed tendencies of cooking for himself since he did not trust his servants. Tie Hongchen decided to help him prepare the meals." We will go and visit mother and father tomorrow morning," Tai Jian said after they had finished their meal." No problem," Tie Hongchen said with a smile." I know you are used to the battlefield and might not know much concerning the rules and customs so you need to find time and learn them so that you won't get in trouble," Tai Jian said." You are worried about me. Don't tell me that the god of war of Qin has fallen for me,"Tie Hongchen said sarcastically. "Maybe. I don't know," Tai Jian said seriously causing Tie Hongchen to be dumbfounded. "You are a weird one. Your parents would never accept me and I also have no feelings for you so forget it," Tie Hongchen coldly said." It's such a pity that my time is short otherwise I would've pursued you," Tai Jian said." What do you mean?" Tie Hongchen asked as she stared at Tai Jian." I was attacked using the heartbreaking palm. My heart veins have been severed so my time is limited. I can only live for ten more years," Tai Jian replied honestly." What a pity," Tie Hongchen said." Let's go to bed," Tai Jian said as they went to their bedroom." With us practising together I might have a chance of suppressing the injury that I have," Tai Jian said with a smile on his face." So you fear death," Tie Hongchen said causing Tai Jian to burst out in laughter." Fear death. I don't fear death I only fear the fact that if indie earlier my enemies will get the chance to harass my family so I can only get rid of them first before I rest in peace," Tai Jian said with a grin. What Tie Hongchen did not know is that Tai Jian had already decided that nine years later whether he succeeded or not he would take this mysterious organisation with him to his grave no matter the consequences. His life mattered not to him but he cared for his loved ones. He has experienced what it means to have a mother and father who loves you, his soldiers who are willing to sacrifice everything for him. He has also been betrayed by many people so he was satisfied but on that day when he fought with Tie Hongchen, each time his sword was about to slash at her face he would always change the trajectory so as to avoid slashing at her face. That was the first time he felt his heart play a different rhythm. One that he was not familiar with but since then he had a bold idea of making her his. That was the first time he felt a different feeling that was unique and unfamiliar to him. Since then even when he was unconscious he would see her face every now and then. Since then he always wanted to see her everyday but when their wedding was arranged he was nervous but even after she arrived he didn't have the courage to accept his feelings for her. Maybe because he knew that his time was limited or maybe it was due to another reason. Although he acted indifferent at times but Tie Hongchen had definitely become his reverse scale and he defined cared for her otherwise why would he warn his brothers when they were eyeing her. He had to admit that he was angry when he saw his fourth brother looking at his wife with a lustful gaze and even he couldn't understand why. When it was midnight, the duo started their practice together. The two sat cross-legged on the bed while facing each other. The ancient technique that they found was more of a support technique as it would help boost their techniques and would also help them to cultivate a special type of energy called mana. The technique would help them cultivate a type of mana known as yin-yang mana. The yin mana was cold while the yang mana was fiery which was why the duo needed to practice it together so as to neutralise their mana. If they failed to neutralise the mana then Tai Jian would likely go crazy due to the overbearing nature of the yang mana and Tie Hongchen would like freeze due to the cold nature of the yin mana so they could only practice it together. Tai Jian was sure that they only needed five years to fully master the technique after which no matter what happens even if he died ten years later, Tie Hongchen would no longer need anyone to neutralise the effects of the technique for her as her body would've already adapted to the nature of the technique.
