Just bear with it," Tai Jian said with a smile as he still held Tie Hongchen in his bed preventing her from leaving." I understand. Will you let go of me now?" Tie Hongchen asked but Tai Jian only shaked his head. He had no intention of letting her go." Grandmother can still wait," Tai Jian said. He still wanted to spend time with Tie Hongchen." Let's go or else you will make her angry. I have heard that she doesn't like you so it is better to not annoy her," Tie Hongchen said." Since you've said so but I guess I need someone to take care of me as from tonight, " Tai Jian said. Tie Hongchen knew what he meant but she gave him no reply." You can just ask one of the maids to take care of you. I am sure they will be more than happy to do so," Tie Hongchen said. Tai Jian stood up from the bed." What shall I wear today?" Tai Jian asked." Your wardrobe is only full of black robes or have you forgotten that you burned all the other robes and left only the black ones? "Tie Hongchen asked. Indeed ever since Tai Jian came back from the battlefield he burnt all of his robes and only left the black robes. Only his armour was still golden in colour but if it was up to him he would've burnt it too. Tie Hongchen chose a black robe for Tai Jian and helped him put it on. She made sure to dress him up personally. She combed his hair and used a golden hairpin to hold it in place so that it would not go past his shoulders. Tai Jian had a masculine physique that many ladies would like and ever since he started cultivating yang mana his physique had greatly improved. He now looked like a handsome scholar. After so many years from the battlefield Tai Jian have refined his personality and his aura was now gentle totally different from before. After Tai Jian dressed up he chose a white female robe for Tie Hongchen and also helped with her hair. The duo left the room together walking hand in hand shocking the remaining servants in the palace. After two years the duo had finally gotten back together and their relationship was now closer than before. Moreover the servants cast weird gazes at them. It was not hard to figure out what they were thinking. A man and a woman coming out of the same room in the morning dressed in different clothes. How could they not come to assumptions about what had happened between them. Tai Jian simply ignored them but Tie Hongchen coild not ignore their gazes and even tried to create space between her and Tai Jian but Tai Jian was obviously unwilling to do so and pulled her closer to him. He then moved ahead and held her waist. Tie Hongchen blushed and tried to remove his hand but Tai Jian was too strong for her so she could just let hum do whatever he wanted. Xue Kai had already prepared a carriage for the both of them. On reaching the carriage Tai Jian and Tie Hongchen found a lady waiting for them. The lady was in her twenties and was very beautiful of course she was still a bit inferior to Tie Hongchen. She was the daughter of a duke. Her father held great military power in the Qin state and was the leader of one of the elite troupes in the kingdom. He was granted the title 'Duke of the north' because of his military achievements and efforts in pacifying the north. It is said that the north of Qin is his turf and even the emperor does not supervise what happens in the north. His loyalty to the empire was undoubtable. It is said that the Duke of north once said that if his majesty Qin Wushuang asks him to go east he would not dare to go west. On seeing Tai Jian and Tie Hongchen walking romantically Dong Ning was jealous and stared viciously at Tie Hongchen. Tie Hongchen quickly put the pieces together but it did not bother her." Cousin,you are here?" Tai Jian asked pretending to be surprised. "Grandmother summoned me and told me to go with you," she replied staring at Tie Hongchen as if telling her to leave. Tie Hongchen wanted to leave but Tai Jian stopped her." Let's go so as to not keep grandmother waiting," Tai Jian said as he lifted Tie Hongchen from the ground and carried her in his arms. Seeing this Dong Ning bit her lips but she didn't say a word. Xue Kai saw this and stared at Dong Ning in pity." Princess,please," Xue Kai said urging Dong Ning to enter the carriage. Anyone with eyes could see that he had feelings for Dong Ning but Dong Ning obviously only had Tai Jian in her eyes so she didn't notice it. Tai Jian sighed at this. Even after entering the carriage he did not allow Tie Hongchen to leave his arms and carried her in his laps treating her like a princess while playing with her hair. Tie Hongchen knew what Tai Jian was doing and played along with him." Why must you do this? You can see that she loves you," Tie Hongchen asked." Some things cannot be forced. I think of her ad my cousin and nothing else. Moreover haven't you seen how Xue Kai looks at her?" Tai Jian asked. They were whispering so Dong Ning did not know that they were talking about her. She just assumed that they were whispering flirting with each other." So you mean that Xue Kai is in love with your cousin and your cousin is in love with you and you are in love with me?" Tie Hongchen asked." Something like that but atleast I know that you love me too," Tai Jian said with a smile." Who said that I love you? Don't put word into my mouth. Anyways this love triangle is really something else," Tie Hongchen said the first two sentences with a bashful expression and the last sentence she spoke it with a grin on her face." What are you thinking about? I have a bad feeling about the meeting today," Tai Jian said with a thoughtful expression on his face." Whatever will happen will happen but I suspect you will be having a new wife soon," Tie Hongchen said. Tai Jian smiled coldly at this and did not answer her but seeing the cold smile on her face she knew that if empress Dowager proposed a marriage on behalf of the Dong family then Tai Jian would likely fall out with both empress Dowager and the Dong family. Maybe this was the spark he had been waiting for to ignite a much larger flame. Tai Jian was ready for anything and after Tie Hongchen helped him neutralise the yang energy in his body his power has grown and he was now sure that he could defeat that man again and go head to head with the mysterious leader of the shadow guild. There was a saying in the kingdom that says ' the shadows in the continent run deep and are brighter than the sun. They can devour anything that tries to bring light'. Tai Jian wanted to be that flame but he wanted to shine brighter than the sun so as to prove that the shadow guild could also be defeated. He did not want to be recognised as a god or a hero but he wanted to protect his family and as long as the shadows exist his family will never see the light. For his sake and for the sake of his family the shadows must be eliminated and Tai Jian was prepared for anything. He was not sure of he will be able to survive the expedition then he would spend his remaining years with his family and have a few kids with Tie Hongchen. "Don't think of doing anything stupid," Tie Hongchen warned stopping Tai Jian's trail of thoughts." Princess,why don't we have a kid?" Tai Jian suddenly asked catching Tie Hongchen off guard. She was shocked that she even forgot what she was about to say. She did not expect Tai Jian to be so direct with his words." What is going on with that head of yours?" Tie Hongchen asked shyly not daring to stare directly at Tai Jian. Dong Ning felt uncomfortable at such display as she never expected the duo to be so shameless.
