Before he could open it, Ruby suddenly jumped to her feet. 

Her sudden reaction startled Roman, causing the case to slip from his hands. 

The contents scattered across the floor.

Scattered across the floor were financial records and evidence. 

The documents were just copies, not the originals. 

But even at a glance, the evidence clearly pointed straight to his wife and daughter. 

The room fell into complete silence. 

Ruby's face was drained of color. Her hands trembled as she took a step back, staring at Roman's dark expression. 

Her voice shook as she tried to explain. 

"Kate only took it for an emergency. Don't be mad. We still have Mr. Wilson to rely on."

Roman let out a cold scoff, gripping the receipts tightly. 

The outrageous amount Kate had spent on a wedding dress only made his mood worse. 

Ruby slowly inched backward, trying to slip away.
