A Proposal
"Mia I don't think this dress agrees with my body " said Alara.
"Come on sister , that was perfectly chosen for you . It can go wrong " she persisted .
Alara sighed as she got dressed.
"I always buy you nice dresses but you never put them on "
They could hear her taking deep breaths in the closet.
"That is because they keep getting in my way when am working " she muttered.
"Don't worry your not working tonight " Charlotte joined in.
Alara stepped out and the two girls froze.
"Wooow " exclaiming .
Alara smiled turning to look herself in the mirror. She flinched back alittle surprised at the image in the mirror.
It was a red half dress,with black straps running down from her waist to the other side of the dress.
Hugging perfectly her curves and still slim waist .
"Oh my your lovely in that dress " Charlotte commented .
"I can't wait to see brother in law see you " Mia giggled.
Alara had the family out for dinner ,it was the only way to get him to come without being sucipious.
A knock came at the door .
"Girls , his here " Lydia announced.
Charlotte and Mia left the room telling Alara to come out after she heard the signal, which was the start of a song they had chosen.
She took the elevator and waited outside the door that lead into the restaurant area.
The music started and she popped out ,walking towards them.
Everything was glowing in pink , she could see her mother and sister standing beside Charlotte and Rae's mother. The warm smiles displayed on there faces .
Then her eyes met his , surprise was written all over his face ,still sitted down in his seat.
Charlotte nudged him to stand up waking him up from his trace.
He did stand up his eyes looking over her , she was dressed in red with matching heels and make up, especially her red lips.
A little red veil was pinned in her hair ,holding it back as it fell down her back .
"You look speechless " she mutrered taking his hand.
"I am ....I...I..." he stammered. Alara chuckled
"Oh my I have never seen brother this flustered " Charlotte giggled to her mother.
Alara pulled him closer , he breathed .
"Well if you can't say anything then let me do the talking tonight " she let out.
He slowly nodded.
"Then let's dance " she offered.
The music started filling the room. The others stand back down as she took him to the open area .
"You look more handsome than usual " she whispered .
His eyes didn't stray from her face like he was afraid she would disappear if he did.
He held her and they moved to the rhythm. Following eachother's steps.
She smiled when he swayed her away then brought her back to him. His eyes filled with nothing but love for her.
Her hair the veil moving with the movement of her head while her hips seductively moved with her feet.
"I can't believe am dancing with you right now " he finally managed to say.
"Well believe it for am right here " she took his other hand moving .
When he pulled dher back again to him he didn't let go ,locking his arms around her waist.
Her eyes ,her lips ,her breathing all close to his , he couldn't resist and bent down to kiss her ,but before he could she pulled away.
"Huh?". he watched her stand back ,Mia run to her and passed something then disappeared.
She walked closer ,"I know am doing this out of selfish reasons but I promise to do the best I can to make you happy in this relationship . And to give you and our child wonderful memories ".
"Alara , what's...." He stopped when she moved but suddenly stopped . The dress was getting in the way.
"A second " she let out.
Looking back at him she gulped then stepped out of the heels bent down and tore the left side of her dress making a high slit on the dress.
She could hear the gasps from everyone ,it was only him who was smiling at her.
She then got down on her knee and and pulled out the small box raising it up to him.
"Rae Declays , Will you marry me ?" She loudly asked.
He knelt infornt of her , "Yes I will marry you " he pulled her in kissing her.
The sound d of applause surrounded them, as Mia and Charlotte took pictures .
He pulled away and passed her the ring , she placed it on his finger then he did the same ,hugging her .
Alara's eyes suddenly caught sight of a familiar face in the background. It was among the waiters .
Since they had reserved the place they would be no other guests .
She blinked noticing the person rush off. As the other focused on the still surpised Rae she sneaked away after him.
"Wait " she called .
He stopped but didnt look back.
"What are you doing here ?" she asked.
"We have been friends for years and you didn't even invite me to your engagement party " he said.
She scoffed.
"Friends , but you betrayed me " she let out moving closer to him.
He turned around with an angry look on his face.
"I never meant for any of those bad things to happen" said Adrian.
"Really , you intentionally linked my personal information then killed Sally ,then made me kill those four board members" she stated holding back her anger.
He bit his lip in frustration.
"Listen Alara , I swear I didnt mean for any of it to happen ".
"My family , mother treated you like a son and my sister saw you as a big brother but you went ahead and let those people come after them . What if it happened and they where killed , you crazy bastard " she snapped slapping him.
He staggered back.
"Sally only followed your orders and instead of protecting you ...." Alara who had not realised she had tears in her eyes felt them all ..'you killed her like she was nothing but another target . She screamed slapping him again.
"Am sorry ...I really didnt mean it . I can't hurt you Alara , I love you , you know that " he moved grabbing her .
