Chapter 63: Defying the Divine Mandate

A New Barrier, A New War

Aric felt the weight of the restriction pressing against his very soul. It wasn't something that could be broken by brute force—it was a fundamental rewrite of reality itself.

He tried reaching beyond, extending his senses to the divine plane. Nothing. A wall stood between him and the gods, vast and absolute.

Kaelith frowned. "We can't even see them anymore. The gods just vanished from our perception."

Elandir cursed under his breath. "They've locked us in our own reality."

The Unbound warriors around them tested their own powers, frustration clear in their eyes. Even the strongest among them felt the suffocating grip of the restriction.

But Aric smiled.

"Foolish gods," he murmured. "They think severing us from divinity will protect them." His golden eyes burned. "They just handed me the key to something far greater."

Kaelith gave him a wary look. "And what exactly is that?"

Aric clenched his fist, and the Infinite Path roared to life within him.

"A new path. One that even they can't control."

Breaking the Laws of Reality

Deep within his Nexus System, Aric opened his status window.

System Alert: Universal Restriction Detected.

Even his system struggled to process the new law.

He extended his hand, activating Infinite Creation. His power surged—then stopped. The restriction smothered it before it could reach beyond.

For the first time since his awakening, his ability was hindered.

Aric exhaled. "Alright. You want to play this game? Fine."

If he couldn't reach divinity through normal means, he would redefine the very concept itself.

He focused inward, drawing upon the raw power of the Irregular, the anomaly that he was. His existence was beyond the system's logic, beyond the gods' design. He was never meant to exist, which meant their rules should not apply to him.

His mind burned with possibilities.

Create a system that exists outside of divine law.

Forge a new connection to the divine, one they cannot control.

Become something that even gods cannot restrict.

His Infinite Creation flared again—this time, with a new objective.

System Override Attempt: Initiated

[Error: Universal Restriction Blocking Process]

[Bypassing... 42%]

The gods' restriction was powerful, but it was not absolute.

Aric grinned.

"Almost there."

The Gods' Response

Within the Hall of Eternity, Order's expression darkened.

"He's already resisting."

The Architect of Fate frowned. "Impossible. No being below divinity should be able to push against the Mandate."

Dominion growled. "Then reinforce it!"

Order raised her hand. A new command rippled through existence.

System Alert: Divine Mandate Reinforced

[Strengthening Universal Restriction]

[All Non-Divine Beings Are Forbidden From Creating Divine Systems]

But then—

System Alert: Error Detected

[Anomaly Interference Found]

[Rewriting Failure]

Order's eyes narrowed. "What?"

The Eternal Devourer grinned. "Oh... now this is interesting."

The Birth of the Irregular Domain

Back in the Infinite Realm, Aric felt the gods pushing back.

The restriction tightened. The universe itself tried to reject him.

But it was too late.

The Infinite Path surged.

System Alert: System Bypass Complete

[New System Created]

[The Irregular Domain Has Been Established]

A shockwave rippled through existence.

The restriction shattered—at least within the space around Aric. He had carved out a place where the gods' rules did not apply.

Kaelith stepped back. "What the hell did you just do?"

Aric opened his eyes.

"I made my own domain." His voice was calm, but his presence was anything but. "One that the gods cannot touch."

Elandir exhaled. "So what now?"

Aric smiled.

"Now we take the fight back to them."
