Chapter 65: War Against the Divine

 The Clash of Authorities

The moment Aric clenched his fist, the Irregular Domain pulsed, expanding outward like a living force. The very fabric of reality warped, bending in ways that defied the logic of gods and mortals alike.

The Celestial Executioners—flawless, absolute beings of divine will—shuddered. Their golden radiance dimmed as their connection to the divine plane weakened. Their once-perfect forms flickered, their presence unstable in a realm that denied their existence.

Aric's smirk widened.

"Not so omnipotent here, are you?"

One Executioner, undeterred, raised a blade forged from Divine Authority itself. Without hesitation, it struck.

The blade sliced toward Aric—only to shatter on impact.

A shockwave rippled through the air. The Executioner froze, gazing at the broken remains of its weapon.

Elandir exhaled sharply. "He just—"

Kaelith grinned. "That was a Divine Armament. And he broke it by standing still."

Aric glanced down at his own hand. The Irregular Domain wasn't just negating divine authority—it was actively rejecting it. Any force that relied on divine law was rendered powerless in his presence.

He looked up at the Executioners. "Your turn."

The Counterattack

The Executioners hesitated for only a moment before launching forward, attacking in perfect unison.

One wielded a Spear of Judgment, hurling it toward Aric at a speed faster than light. Another summoned a Seal of Eternal Law, attempting to bind his very soul. The rest formed an array, their celestial halos igniting as they prepared an absolute eradication technique.

Aric let them come.

The Irregular Domain flexed.

The Spear of Judgment dissolved midair.

The Seal of Eternal Law unraveled the moment it touched him.

The Executioners' formation—perfect and absolute in any other realm—collapsed under the weight of broken rules.

For the first time in existence, divine beings failed.

Elandir, watching the impossible unfold, muttered, "He's not just resisting them. He's rewriting the laws around him."

Kaelith's eyes flashed. "This is a war the gods weren't ready for."

Aric stepped forward, his golden eyes burning.

He extended his hand—this time not to defend, but to strike.

System Alert: New Function Unlocked

[Irregular Domain Expansion – Reality Override Mode]

The space around him trembled as his domain expanded. The Executioners, still adjusting to their waning divinity, suddenly found themselves pulled deeper into his authority.

Their celestial bodies flickered again, more violently this time.

Aric clenched his fist.

"Begone."

A single word. A single command.

Reality obeyed.

The first Executioner ceased to exist.

No explosion. No screams. It was as if it had never been.

The remaining eleven Executioners recoiled in silent horror.

Aric exhaled. "Huh. That was easier than I expected."

The realization hit all at once—within the Irregular Domain, Aric was not just another challenger. He was absolute.

The Hall of Eternity in Chaos

High above, in the divine plane, Order felt something she had never felt before.

Fear.

She slammed her hands onto the celestial console, her voice sharp. "The Executioners are failing. We must intervene directly."

The Architect of Fate narrowed his eyes. "Intervention at this stage would risk violating the Prime Laws. The last time we acted against an anomaly in its own domain..." He gestured toward the Eternal Devourer, who chuckled darkly.

Dominion growled. "We are gods. We should not be afraid of one mortal."

Order's expression darkened. "He is no longer a mortal. And if we do not act now, he will become something far worse."

She turned toward the Prime Throne, where a being sat shrouded in an ever-shifting light.

"...We must awaken Him."

The room fell into silence. Even Dominion stiffened.

The Nameless One, the most ancient and absolute force of the divine hierarchy.

The one who had never needed to act before.

The light around the throne pulsed. A voice, infinite and unfathomable, spoke a single word.

"Proceed."

The Final Warning

Back in the Irregular Domain, the Executioners made their choice.

They could not win. They could not fight.

So they retreated.

One by one, they vanished, pulled back into the divine realm. Aric watched them go, not bothering to pursue.

They were no longer a threat.

A voice, ancient and formless, echoed through the sky.

"Aric Valen. You have defied the divine mandate. You have broken the balance. This is your final warning."

The world trembled. Even within the Irregular Domain, Aric felt it—something awakening beyond the Tower, beyond the divine plane.

His golden eyes flickered. "So, they're sending their final piece onto the board."

Elandir sheathed his sword. "Something tells me this fight is far from over."

Kaelith crossed her arms. "When is it ever?"

Aric turned to his people. The Unbound, the warriors who had spent eons in hiding, now stood ready.

For the first time, they had a real chance.

He raised his hand, and the Irregular Domain pulsed.

"We're done waiting."

His eyes burned with determination.

"It's time to bring the fight to them."
