New information

In the world, all beast tamers strive to reach the seventh level. This is due to the fact that only on the seventh level you can open your own pet space.

Before reaching the seventh level, beast tamers are forced to use the services of specialty stores or create a place for their pets on their own.

Beast tamers of the first and second levels, if they need to participate in tasks or competitions in other cities or countries, should always keep their pets with them. However, with the achievement of the third level, it becomes possible to summon a pet from a distance. And with the fifth level, all the pets of the beast tamers gain the ability to shrink.

This is the reason why Anon's father has been striving so hard to reach the fifth level lately.

Sarina told Anon in detail about the levels of the beast tamers. He already knew some of the information, but he only found out something now.

"I'll be honest with you. Your parents are not outstanding people. All these years, your father has never been able to reach the fifth level. If he is unable to advance on his own in the near future, he will have to resort to the help of a very valuable and rare resource that can stimulate a person's soul. However, the use of these resources can limit a person's further potential and cut off his path to cultivation," Sarina said.

"As for your mother, she can't be blamed for her lack of talent. Her partner was also stuck at the fourth rank, mainly because she blindly followed your mother, not striving to achieve more. Your mother spent a lot of time with her children, missing the opportunity to realize her potential. But as a Contractor, she is not so much limited. As soon as her fox gets down to business in earnest and starts gaining momentum, she will also become stronger and will soon overtake her husband," Sarina added.

Anon was aware of his father's aspirations, but he could not imagine that his mother was also holding back. Right now, she's mostly busy taking care of her children. Sursa has already grown up and become an adult, and now her mother is most worried about Anna. With Anna's awakening as a beast tamer, there will be even more worries. Anon assumed that her mother would take care of her until she turned 18.

Recently, Anon has started to worry about his father. His mother and aunt have the same father, but different mothers. What if there are other siblings from another mother somewhere? My father often leaves and almost never talks about his travels. What if he, like Grandpa, starts another love relationship on the side? The thought of it made Anon's skin crawl.

"I hope one day my father won't come and tell me that we have other brothers and sisters," he prayed to himself.

"By the way, do you know why those who have awakened talent are so highly valued?" asked Sarina.

Anon had a few guesses about this, but he couldn't be sure.

"The thing is, the presence of talent is the key to advancing to level 7," Sarina completely destroyed his idea of how talent could help a tamer reach level seven. He thought that talent made a tamer stronger by enhancing talent, allowing him to move forward faster and easier.

Sarina added that his father and sister were not destined to reach the seventh level based on this theory. She stressed that Contractors have an advantage in this matter, as their promotion is linked to partners.

Sarina's words came as a complete surprise to Anon. They radically changed his view of the world. He will have to think carefully about the pros and cons once again and make a decision: should he wait for the awakening ceremony next year or try to become a Contractor?

Anon was sure that even if he awakened, he would still not discover his talent. His father and sister didn't have talent, and he was convinced that he wouldn't have talent either.

"I think you understand that you shouldn't share this news. I guess your parents don't know about this. The government carefully hides such information to avoid spreading rumors. They want all tamers to strive to become stronger, and for this they need to not lose heart knowing that their path is initially limited to only level 6," Sarina said.

"Good," Anon simply had to agree. He looked at Sarina with a strange expression on his face.

"If her parents didn't know about it, then how did a woman like her, who is involved in planning, find out about it? Perhaps because she has other connections? And why would she give me this information?" Anon didn't ask Sarina directly, but he could only speculate.

"My store specializes in the care of beasts, including their maintenance, cleaning and feeding. Treatment is not our strong suit, but we are ready to provide such services when necessary. As for the advancement of evolution, I personally do this when I have the opportunity and willing clients," Sarina said, pausing to reflect on her words.

"Every pet requires special care, nutrition and a place to stay. In our store, most of the space is reserved for the creation of aviaries, in which various conditions are created for beasts. During your stay here, you will help other employees take care of clients' pets and perform simple care work. If I have a good mood and desire, I will take you with me when a client appears who wants me to find and help him with his progress towards evolution," she added.

At the end of the conversation, Sarina briefly described Anon's duties as an employee of the store. Since Anon was a student, he was forbidden to work full-time and late at night.

"Good mood, huh?" thought Anon, smiling. He understood that even if Sarina was in a good mood, she was unlikely to remember the words she had just uttered. He would have to find a reason to participate in her good mood himself.

As Sarina said, most of the store was set aside for pet enclosures. Half of them were already occupied by the clients' beasts. The store's staff constantly went from one enclosure to another, caring for their charges. It wasn't easy to take care of so many different beasts. Each beast had its own preferences in the environment, food and character. Providing comfort and coziness for every pet was not an easy task.

The store mainly catered to beginner and advanced level beast tamers. All pets of these levels are small: no more than two meters in height and about three meters in length, depending on the type. There are no large or oversized pets on these levels. Even wild beasts up to the fifth rank have normal, not too large sizes.

However, after reaching the fifth rank and in the process of evolution, the beasts overcome all natural limitations. They are experiencing a second qualitative change in their existence after the changes that occur during the awakening. Their size increases significantly, and their strength, speed, and endurance increase many times. And, of course, as they increase in size, they gain the ability to shrink.

Thus, shops do not need to build huge enclosures for pets.

In the following days, Anon started working in the store, where he had to interact with customers and other employees. As usual, the curse manifested itself in his life. Because of this, the staff and pets didn't pay much attention to him. After short conversations, they would quickly step aside and leave him alone. Even the most ferocious pets showed no interest in him when he entered their enclosures to clean up.

During his time at the store, Anon became more and more convinced that becoming a Contractor was the best solution for him. Finally, he decided to contact his mother and inform her that he was ready to sign a contract with Susu and ask her ancestor to perform the ritual.
