Riftfall Bastion – The Labyrinth of Shadows

Into the Unknown

The fortress shifted around them, its walls pulsing as if alive. Shadows flickered unnaturally, stretching and twisting with each unstable pulse of Rift energy. Ethan felt the pressure in his skull—a familiar sensation, a warning from the Rift itself.

"It's adapting to us."

Selene moved beside him, her golden aura flickering as she scanned the warped corridor ahead. "The structure is unstable. We need to keep moving before it locks us in."

Kieran exhaled sharply, shaking off the impact of their last battle. "Yeah, because that guy wasn't bad enough—now we're in a damn maze?"

Nefera's chains hummed softly, sensing the distortion. "This place was designed to trap intruders. If we don't find the core soon, we're done."

Orion's voice crackled over the comms. "Team Beta, be advised—something's interfering with our readings. We're losing track of your position."

Ethan tapped his earpiece. "What do you mean losing?"
