Ethan stood at the window, golden eyes scanning the city below. The whisper from the night before still lingered in his mind. It hadn't been an illusion.

Something was there. Watching.

Behind him, Mia leaned against the wall, arms crossed. "You gonna tell me what's going on, or are we just gonna stare at the skyline all night?"

Ethan exhaled. "You felt it too."

Mia nodded. "Yeah. And I don't like it."

Ethan's gaze darkened. "Neither do I."

He turned away from the window. There was only one way to find out what was happening. And that meant calling the others.
