13. THE AFTERMATH

Danman slowly came to, his head throbbing with pain. He was lying on the ground, his energy sword still clutched in his hand.

As he sat up, he saw Lyra's lifeless body lying nearby. He felt a surge of relief wash over him, knowing that the battle was finally over.

But as he looked around, he saw that the warehouse was in ruins. The walls were cracked and crumbling, and the air was thick with dust.

Danman stumbled to his feet, his eyes scanning the wreckage. He knew he had to get out of there, before the authorities arrived.

As he made his way through the rubble, he heard a faint noise behind him. He turned to see a figure emerging from the shadows.

It was a woman, with long, flowing hair and piercing green eyes. She was dressed in a black jumpsuit, and she carried a strange device in her hand.

"Who are you?" Danman demanded, his energy sword at the ready.

The woman smiled, her eyes glinting with amusement. "My name is Ava," she said. "And I'm here to help you."

Danman's eyes narrowed, his mind racing with questions. What did Ava want? And how did she know about the battle?

But before he could ask any questions, Ava spoke again. "We need to get out of here," she said. "Now."

Danman hesitated, unsure of what to do. But as he looked at Ava, he saw something in her eyes that made him trust her.

He nodded, and together they made their way out of the warehouse.

As they emerged into the bright sunlight, Danman felt a sense of relief wash over him. The battle was over, and he had made it out alive.

But as he looked at Ava, he knew that this was only the beginning. There were still many questions to be answered, and many battles to be fought.

And Danman was ready.
