Danman's mind was racing as he followed the guards through the winding corridors of Arachne's headquarters. What had he just gotten himself into?
Ava walked beside him, her eyes fixed on the guards ahead. Danman could sense her unease, her distrust of Arachne and her motives.
As they walked, Danman couldn't help but wonder what Arachne had planned for him. What did she want him to do?
Finally, they arrived at a large, ornate door. The guards pushed it open, revealing a spacious, dimly lit chamber.
Arachne stood at the far end of the room, her eyes fixed on Danman. "Welcome," she said, her voice dripping with honey. "I'm glad you decided to join me."
Danman's eyes narrowed. What did she want from him?
Arachne smiled, as if reading his thoughts. "I want to show you something," she said. "Something that will change everything."
And with that, she snapped her fingers, and a large screen behind her flickered to life.
Danman's eyes widened as he took in the images on the screen. They were pictures of his parents, smiling and happy.
But as he looked closer, Danman saw something that made his heart skip a beat. His parents were standing in front of a large, ominous-looking building.
The building looked familiar, but Danman couldn't quite place it.
Arachne's eyes seemed to gleam with triumph. "Do you recognize the building?" she asked.
Danman shook his head. "No," he said.
Arachne smiled. "It's the headquarters of the organization that killed your parents," she said.
Danman's eyes widened in shock. What?
Ava's eyes flicked to Danman, and he could see the question in her eyes. What did it mean?
