gasped

Tony walk to them dropping his glass of Las Dos Caras which he had specially ordered for himself without taking a sip of it.

He slid his hands inside his pockets and positioned himself right in front of her making sure her eyes were on her and not daring to look away.

He could feel all his muscles energizing up and he wanted so much to slam her behind the walls and ask her what the hell she was doing back in country. Last he remembered, she ran away to avoid responsibility.

"...Mr. Chen" she let out a heavy breathe as she wasn't sure what to call him.

The memory of the first time they had just met each other came to her, he was just as cold and bitter looking as this, or much worst.

He was angry at the entire universe back then.

'You called my name so fondly, one would think we are acquaintance" he said still holding his fretful frown and Valerie could not let down the hard lump in her throat.

Did she call him in a fondly way? She thought she was formal enough with the way she had address him.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to" she apologized and glance around for Jacob.

Alec Biars move his neck slightly to Tony knowing he was being in purpose to make the lady feel frightened. He wasn't sure the relationship between the two but he knew that the foul mood he had suddenly shifted in could ruin someone.

He would have love to rescue the lady but he can not risk his own neck and besides, he could be the prince charming to console her after.

"Looks like you two have a lot to discuss" he said clearing his throat nosily but Tony didn't bat his eyes off her.

"I will excuse you then" he said and turn to leave meeting Myanna visibly red face from anger and he could not help a chuckle slipping out of his lips.

Valerie felt like she had just being abandoned in hell with the master of the place holding her in shackles with his glaring eyes. As much as she wanted to get away, her heels would not make the move.

She mustered up her courage to say something to him perhaps an apology for the past but her courage was buried down when he walked past her instead.

More than her fear, her hurt stings her heart and she could fathom her tears pushing up to fall.

"What are you waiting for?"

She heard him say behind her and her closed eyes fighting the tears flinch, she turn on her heels as quickly as she could and move closer.

As he lead her out of the party, she feared what he would say to her and it felt like the grim reaper leading her to the bottomless pit for the crime she had committed in her life.

Valerie was still in her thoughts when she was pulled and thrust to a hard surface and his strong arms move passed her face and slammed on the wall trapping her.

She gaps at the sudden violent and gaze at him with fearful eyes, his eyes was livid with anger and she wasn't sure if he would hurt her or not.

"You really have the gut to show up in front of me, that too smiling" he gritted and if the wall wasn't strong enough his raged aura would have pushed it down.

"Why are you back here? Are you unable to get another rich man to seduce with your fake innocence act?" he howled at her blinded by his angered feelings

He has not seen her since she packed out of his house just three months after their marriage and now she was back smiling sweetly at another man.

How could she bear not to see him for five years? She made him believe that she was so in love with him that she could not bear to live a day without him.

Or it was an act to make him believe and rush their marriage so she could achieve her purpose

And now that she had gotten what she wanted, she was just going to ignore him and pretend nothing happened.

Valerie did not realize her tears were falling as she tries not to keep his gaze but she could not avert it. The way he looks at her breaks her heart so much.

It was a despicable gaze, full with hate and reproach.

Tony noticed the tears and cussed inwardly, he want to grab her face and kiss her lips until he erases every trace of the pink gloss she was putting on.

He was hurting too and he could not bear to see her that happy, not without him.

"Stop with the pretentious tears Valerie, didn't you come here in hope of seducing a man just like your sister? Well, why don't I help you?"

He said and move his hand that was stiffened to the wall and trail it down her nape to sleeve of her dress.

She whimpered and try to push him off and Tony did not resist and move away a bit giving her space to walk away.

She glance at him with hurt in her steel blue watery eyes before she grasp her gown off the ground and ran off.

Tony put his hands in his pockets clenching his fists and trying to restrain himself from going after her but remembering how terrified she was, he frowned hard and swallow his anger and pride to follow after her and see if she was okay.

Valerie ran into Jacob who was just getting off the car with his new outfit which had delayed him from coming with her.

His smile worn off and he grab Valerie who was in tears and stop her from running. He looked perplexed to see her ruined mascara.

"Wh…What happened?' he asked scared.

If Alec Biars had rejected to help them, it wouldn't be enough reason for her to be in this mess.

"Did…?"

Valerie stop him shaking his head to refute whatever he was thinking and cry in his arms instead, resting her head on his shoulder.

Jacob would have pushed her off so she wouldn't stain his new designer clothes which he had just spend a fortune to get but he was also worried and pat her to calm her down.

Tony walk around to catch up with her and he find her hugging another man beside the road.

He move to have a look at the man holding her in his arms and clasped his hands seeing his face.

She has moved on quickly to a young rich guy, what was he expecting anyway, it was foolish of him to keep her in his mind after all these years.

He turned away and swipe out his phone to make a call, if she think that he was going to let her stay in the same country with him after all what she had done, then she was mistaken.

If he is in this state, then he is going to put her in a much worst state, one that she would never recover from.
