Gunfire rattled through the compound, echoing in the dimly lite corridors. Alexander pressed against the cold steel wall, his grip firm on his rifle. His man moved with precision, taking down Silas's guards one by one. The enemy was relentless, but Alexander was fueled by something stronger-rage, determination, and the unbreakable need to return to Mia alive.
Alpha team, secure the east wing! Bravo, cover the exits!" Alexander barked into his comm.
Victor's voice crackled in his earpiece. "Alexander, we've intercepted enemy comms. Silas is moving to an underground bunker. He's trying to escape."
Not a chance.
Alexander signaled his team and pushed forward, weaving through the halls as bullets whizzed past him. His heart pounded, but his mind was clear. Silas was a ghost who had orchestrated destruction from the shadows for too long. Tonight, it ended.
At the Estate.....
Mia paced the command room, her fingers clenched into fists.she hated waiting. Every second that passed felt like an eternity. The screens flickered with updates from Victor's surveillance drones, but none showed Alexander.
"Come on," she whispered.
A sudden movement on the monitor cought her eye- a convoy of black SUVs approaching the estate's gate.
Victor cursed. "Damn it. they're making a move on us."
Mia inhaled sharply. The battle wasn't just at the compound- it was coming for her too.
Inside Silas's Bunker....
The underground bunker was a fortress, but it was no match for Alexander's wrath. He kicked down the reinforced door, stepping into the dimly lit chamber where Silas voss stood waiting, a smirk playing on his lips.
"Alexander," silas drawled, as if greeting an old friend. "You never disappoint."
Alexander raised his gun. "Game over, silas."
Silas chuckled, completely unfazed. "Is it? You came all this way to kill me, but have you considered what happens after? My man are already at your doorstep. While you're here, your wife and unborn child are vulnerable."
Alexander's blood cold.
"Face it," silas cont, "you can't win even if you kill me, my legacy continues."
Alexander's trigger finger twitched, but he forced himself to stay calm. He knew silas was trying to bait him.
"Wrong," Alexander said, stepping closer. "Because unlike you, I fight for something real. And I always win."
Before silas could react, Alexander pulled the trigger.
A single shot.
Silas staggered back, eyes wide with shock as he collapsed. Blood pooled beneath him, his final smirk fading.
The war wasn't over yet.
Alexander turned, his heart hammering. He had to get back to Mia.
Now
Back at the Estate.....
Gunshots rang out as the enemy breached the outer defenses. Mia had taken cover, but she wasn't hiding. She grabbed a pistol from the table, her breath steady.
She would fight.
For herself.
For her child.
For Alexander.
As the enemy forces stormed in, Mia took her first shot.
