Alex quickly took advantage of the rats who lost balance and Kuma also quickly killed a few before the effects of the earthquake went away.

With that they noticed that the rats stopped coming but they had to deal with the remaining rats before they could search for more.

A rat tried to leap at Alex who dodged the leap and kicked the rat back at the others while Kuma was busy with a few rats.

When Alex saw that he quickly went to help Kuma and killed a rat who was to focused on Kuma to notice Alex.

Now only ten gaint rats remain instead of waiting for the rats to make a move Kuma ran towards them.

Alex who was suprised quickly followed after him keeping rats from attacking Kuma who just drived his claws in a rats side before killing it.

Alex brought the axe down but the rats where quickly learning to Dodge him and counter attack got multiple scratches on his legs and ankles quickly tried to kick them away.

Kuma who was fighting two rats was getting a few scratches because if he missed the attack with his claws one of the rats would attack before he could defend himself.

Realizing that there is to many to kick away he jumped backwards making more space between him and the rats.

Alex who had now most of the rats attention noticed Kuma was sneaking up behind the rats and launched a few earth claws and killed three rats before the noticed that he was behind them.

The rats quickly looked behind them which proved to be the wrong choice because Alex killed one of them.

Now only two rats remain the rest was dead but the rats knew they could not escape because Kuma and Alex blocked a way and trying to get to a hole would be suicide.

So the rats went crazy attaking at random and not caring who they hit Alex quickly swung his axe down but only managed to chop a leg of one of the rats which he quickly killed.

Looking at the last rat that seemed to have died at the same time because Kuma was pulling his claws out the corpse.

(I decided i hate rats why where there so much.) Kuma who had walked back to Alex wanted to either never see rats again or kill them all he could not decided which he wanted more.

(It must mean we are close right or maybe it was all of it?) Alex tried to raise Kuma's spirit but he decided to look at his stats.

Alex noticed his stats went up except his intellect which is normal if you get stronger by doing something more so Alex had a quick thought about just taking hits for a while to raise his defense but realized that it could be bad if he got to low on health.

He also noted that he needed to look at his mental strength stat after meditation to see if that was why it increased.

He decided to also look at Kuma's stats to see if he also increased in stats.

Alex saw that Kuma also got higher stats and was slightly jealous that Kuma had a area attack but realized that it did not matter since he could probably buy skills later for himself.

(We should probably get a move on to see if there are more i hope not but you never know.) Alex got snapped out his thoughts when Kuma said that.

(Your right besides i dont think we want to be here longer than needed.) He responded Kuma nodded in response so they started moving again.

After a lot of walking they did not encounter any more rats which was weird because they started hearing something walking in the distance.

Alex and Kuma looked at eachother and nodded and started moving closer and saw it became wider the closer they get to the noise.

Finally they saw what was making the noise it was a gaint rat but it looked different from the others.

Alex quickly told this info to Kuma and came to the conclusion that there must also be a queen but they had to get past this rat first.

The rat had also noticed them but did not blindly rush in but looked at his enemy before sending what looked like earth claw but red at Kuma who countered with his earth claw.

Seeing this Alex walked forward with his axe over his shoulder and Kuma send his earth claw at the rat who dodged and jumped at Alex.

Alex quickly swung at the rat but because the rat had his claws forward the axe met the claws and it made sparks and the rat quickly jumped back.

(Alright this may be more tricky then i thought) Alex told Kuma who nodded.

(Yeah using a skill for one not to mention it is long range and its able to clash with you without getting injured or something is annoying.) Kuma who quickly told Alex before launching a earth claw and running behind it.

The rat counters with his own skill and met Kuma head on after he managed to stop Kuma's advance it realized it lost Alex out its vision wanting to quickly turn around it felt a pain in his back left leg before falling.

Alex had cut of one of the rats legs and the rat was not amused it send his skill at Alex who blocked with his axe but was send back a little.

But the monster may be smarter but not that smart since now Kuma was out of his vision quickly turning around fearing to lose his other leg.

Kuma who was indeed behind did what Alex did but better because it waited till the rat had turned around and went for one of the eyes with one claw and a leg with the other claw.

The rat wanted to jump back but that turned out to be a stupid decision because they eye it could have defended now was not only gone but because it jumped back became a big cut across its faces and the leg was hanging on with a little bit of flesh.

The rat was as good as dead but not wanting to give up it tried to leap at Kuma as last resort but his leg gave out at the last second and Alex was already at the half of its body and nodded at Kuma.

Kuma went for the head with his claws and incase the rat blocked Alex would chop it in half.

And the rat did just did blocking Kuma and got cleaved in half and died quickly after.

(I really need a skill.) Alex said to Kuma seeing what he thought about the matter.

(You do it won't matter if it's long range or not but i think that if you even if you get don't get a attack skill you will be harder to deal with because we can't keep out smarting them.)

Alex nodded with that conversation behind them they decide to walk further silently hoping not to encounter another warrior again especially more than one.

Lucky for them fate was kind and they found the queen gaint rat.

(Not good its E rank.) Alex quickly told Kuma about the oversight ofcourse the queen would be stronger than a warrior if it came down to it.

(Shit happens we just have to out smart it i hope it is not to smart.) Kuma answered and sent a earth claw and ran after it.

The queen rat launched the same skill the Warrior had and prepared to swipe at Kuma but he stopped just out of her range and started stomping on the ground making a earthquake.

Seeing the earthquake Alex ran in and jumped up to avoid the earthquake and swing down hoping that gravity would deal the most damage.

The queen could not avoid it but managed to to avoid a lethal blow by turning to the side.

Kuma stopped the earthquake and sent a earth claw hoping she could not react in time.

But the queen could still raise her claw and negate most the damage there was a slight cut just beneath her eye.

Alex decided to try his luck with a swing now that the queen had her side to him but the queen quickly turned and he hit her claw.

She wanted to attack but Kuma managed to drive a claw in her back right leg and just like the warrior she turned to face Kuma.

When Alex saw that he swing down hard and severed her leg and quickly jumped back knowing the queen would not take it without trying to injury him back.

Just as Alex jumped a claw from the queen landed where he was a second ago and she launched her skill at him.

He blocked with his axe but was sent back and Kuma jumped on her back and put his claws in her head and the queen stopped moving.
