I had just learned that Ramona was already aware of the South City land project plan before I reached out to Marcus. She even had a digital copy of the file in her possession.
If my memory served me correctly, in my previous existence, Ramona had leaked this information to rival firms, causing my company significant financial damage and nearly bankrupting us.
I was determined not to let history repeat itself this time around.
Once again, I approached Ramona in disguise, just as I had done before.
"Ramona, have you considered our previous conversation?" I asked her nonchalantly. "Remember, you're not the only person I could turn to. I'm only offering you this chance because you call me uncle."
Ramona's eyes sparkled with interest as she looked at me.
"Uncle, is your previous proposal still available?"
Her response confirmed that she was still interested in the position.
However, her aspirations would remain unfulfilled. "Certainly, it is," I replied.
