Dilemma

James stormed over to the lady, his face dark with anger. "I thought I told you to leave with the car," he growled, grabbing her arm and pulling her back inside.

The lady struggled to break free, her eyes flashing with defiance. "Let me go!" she spat.

James's grip tightened, his eyes blazing with fury. "Gloria, let's go," he snarled.

But Gloria refused to back down. "I won't let this whore get away with you!" she sneered.

James's face turned red with rage, and he grabbed Gloria by the neck, strangling her. "Sir, please let her go!" I pleaded, horrified.

Gloria's eyes bulged, her face turning purple. "James, I can't breathe," she gasped.

James's grip tightened, his eyes flashing with warning. "Call her a whore or disrespect her again, and you won't make it another minute on this earth," he growled, finally releasing Gloria.

Gloria stumbled backward, gasping for air. I felt a pang of pity for her and offered her a glass of water, but she rejected it, her eyes flashing with anger.

"Move away from me, you filthy bitch," she spat, hitting the cup out of my hand.

James stormed back outside, his face still dark with anger. "Davis!" he shouted, his voice echoing across the dock.

began shouting orders to turn the ship around and head back. As we disembarked, James's anger was still palpable, and I could feel the tension radiating from him.

"Who's that lady ?" I asked Cassie as we walked away from the yacht.

Cassie hesitated, looking around nervously. "I'm not supposed to tell you," she said quietly.

But I pressed her for answers, and eventually, she relented.

"Gloria is the governor's daughter," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.

I felt a surge of surprise.

"What does that have to do with anything?" I asked.

Cassie glanced around nervously again.

"The governor wanted a relationship with James, one that would give him leverage over James. So he introduced James to Gloria."

I felt a pang of understanding.

"So they were in a relationship?" I asked.

Cassie nodded.

"They were getting close, but..." She trailed off, glancing around nervously again

I leaned in, my curiosity piqued.

"What happened?" I pressed, but Cassie just shook her head. "I've said too much already," she said, her eyes darting toward James, who was approaching us.

James's face turned red with rage, and he pressed his temples, his eyes closed

. "Cassie, take Sandra to the car. I'll join you guys soon."

Cassie nodded, her eyes wide with concern. "Let's go, ma'am," she said, taking my arm and leading me away.

As we walked, I could feel James's eyes on me, his anger and frustration palpable. I knew I had to get away from him, at least for a little while.

The car ride was silent, James's anger still simmering just below the surface. I avoided eye contact, my heart racing with anxiety.

When we finally arrived at my house, I couldn't wait to get out of the car. I opened the door and stepped out, my legs shaking with relief.

"Sandra," James called out, his voice low and husky.

I turned, my heart racing with anticipation. "I'm sorry," he said, his eyes locked on mine.

But I just shook my head, my voice firm. "It's fine. Can I go now?"

James's eyes narrowed, his jaw clenched. But he nodded, his voice low.

he took a step closer to me. "You're injured," he said, his voice low and concerned.

But I just took a step back, my heart racing.

"I'm fine," I said, my tone firm.

And with that, I turned and walked away, leaving James standing alone in the driveway.

The Governor's mansion was ablaze with lights, the sound of laughter and music filling the air. James, dressed in a tailored tuxedo, stood tall, his eyes scanning the room with a mixture of disdain and boredom.

Davis, standing by his side, leaned in close. "Sir, I don't think this is a good idea," he whispered.

James's eyes narrowed. "I don't pay you to think, Davis. I pay you to follow orders."

Just then, Gloria, resplendent in a red evening gown, swept into the room, her eyes locked on James. "Darling," she cooed, her voice dripping with sweetness.

James's eyes flashed with anger, but he forced a smile onto his face. "Gloria. You look stunning."

The Governor, a portly man with a jovial smile, approached the group, his eyes twinkling with amusement. "Ah, James, my boy, I see you're getting along famously with my daughter."

James's smile grew wider, but his eyes remained cold. "Yes, sir. Gloria and I have a lot to discuss."

Gloria's eyes flashed with triumph, but Davis's eyes narrowed, his expression skeptical.

The Governor beamed with pride. "Excellent. I knew you two would hit it off. Now, let's discuss the details of our little arrangement."

James's eyes locked on the Governor, his expression unreadable. "I think we've discussed enough, sir."

The Governor's smile faltered, his eyes narrowing. "I don't think you understand, James. This is a matter of great importance. You see, Gloria here has certain... expectations."

Gloria's eyes flashed with anger, but James just raised an eyebrow. "Expectations?" he repeated.

The Governor nodded. "Yes. Expectations. And I'm afraid you're not meeting them, James."

James's expression turned glacial, his eyes flashing with anger. "I think you'll find that I'm meeting all of my obligations, sir."

Gloria's face turned red with rage, but the Governor just smiled, his eyes glinting with amusement. "We'll see about that, James. We'll see about that."

The scene ended with James's eyes locked on the Governor, his expression cold and calculating, while Gloria seethed with anger and Davis looked on, his expression worried.
