Bodies that have been dead for too long lose their human Spiritual Energy, while those dead for too short a time suffer from a deficiency of corpse qi, hindering their ability to absorb the essence of Corpse Refining. Therefore, different bodies are required; a female body, naturally imbued with yin qi, serves best as corpse qi. It requires no concern for the duration since death, nor the body's absorption capacity. However, selecting such a body involves a meticulous and rigorous choice.
