From beginning to end, Wu Jin had only one goal—to charge into the Abyssal Plane and avenge the people of the Endless Mountain Range.
No one understood the strength of the Abyssal Plane better than he did.
If he wanted to reach it, he needed to achieve godhood. Without a god-level cultivation, everything else was just empty talk.
To that end, Wu Jin had researched many methods of becoming a god.
Now that the Divine Realm had vanished and there were no divine inheritances left, the only way to ascend was to create one's own god position.
Unlike Yun Ming, he had no endless supply of faith energy to draw upon.
He couldn't wait until he reached the rank of Ultimate Douluo to start considering godhood.
Douluo Continent had seen countless Ultimate Douluos. In their youth, each of them had been hailed as a prodigy, but as of now, only Yun Ming had touched the threshold of godhood.
Although soul beasts, free from the suppression of the Divine Realm's central hub, had a faint chance of becoming gods, the existence of the plane's will made it exponentially harder for them than for humans.
That was why Wu Jin had no choice but to take a desperate gamble. He knew that trying to communicate with the power of heaven and earth at his current level was no different from seeking death.
Yet he still decided to go through with it.
What he hadn't expected was to encounter the Demon Emperor in the depths of the Extreme North.
And not only that, the Demon Emperor had even called upon Di Tian.
Both Di Tian and the Demon Emperor stood at the peak of Douluo Continent. They had tried numerous methods of becoming gods themselves.
Having their help was an unexpected boon.
"That scared me to death. Good thing we didn't turn against that woman." Feeling the power released by Di Tian, the Ghost Emperor and Nether Emperor, who had just left, shuddered in fear.
Had the Demon Emperor and Di Tian decided to join forces against them just now, they truly might not have survived.
Di Tian's cultivation was not yet at nine hundred thousand years, but for tens of thousands of years, no Ultimate Douluo, apart from the former God of Emotions, had ever defeated him.
Even among the past Pavilion Masters of Shrek Academy's Sea God's Pavilion, many had fallen to Di Tian—including the Pavilion Master from ten thousand years ago, the teacher of the God of Emotions, Dragon God Douluo Mu En.
In truth, one of the Demon Emperor's main reasons for bringing Di Tian here under the guise of helping Wu Jin was to intimidate the Nether Emperor and Ghost Emperor.
Now that she had allied with Star Dou Forest, it would be a waste not to make use of an unrivaled powerhouse like Di Tian.
Shrek Academy!
Leng Yaozhu took Xia Yi and Gu Yue to the cafeteria, letting them eat and drink to their hearts' content. After leaving Yali waiting for a full thirty minutes, she finally leisurely led them to Shrek Academy's inner courtyard.
As soon as they stepped onto Sea God Island, Xia Yi saw that Yun Ming and Yali were already waiting there in advance.
Originally, Yun Ming hadn't planned on coming.
But Yali had dragged him here.
Seeing the young man in white standing beside Yali, holding her hand with a faint smile on his face, Leng Yaozhu's body visibly stiffened.
Compared to when she had last seen Yali at Eastsea Academy, today's Holy Spirit Douluo had clearly dressed with special care. She appeared even more refined and elegant, her spotless white dress exuding an ethereal beauty. Her fair skin was so delicate it seemed it might break at a touch. No one would believe that she was a renowned Title Douluo. If she claimed to be merely in her twenties, no one would doubt it.
Beside them, Na'er was clad in Shrek Academy's inner courtyard's red uniform, staring murderously at Gu Yue and Xia Yi.
"Heaven Phoenix Douluo." Yali deliberately waved the arm entwined with Yun Ming's in front of Leng Yaozhu's eyes, smiling as she greeted her.
"Holy Spirit Douluo, when did you become so formal?" Leng Yaozhu met her smile with an equally bright one, stepping forward and giving her a big hug.
Xia Yi was speechless. Anyone who didn't know better would think they were truly best of friends.
Yun Ming also felt awkward, rubbing his nose as if he hadn't seen anything.
Holy Spirit Douluo smiled slightly and said, "It's been too long since I've seen you. I've missed you dearly. I heard you took in two students—these two young ones, I presume? True prodigies, though their soul power is a bit low."
"That's right, these are my students, Xia Yi and Gu Yue." Leng Yaozhu smiled proudly and waved them over. "Why don't you come and greet your Sister Yali?"
"Sister Yali!"
Not only Xia Yi and Gu Yue, but even Yali and Yun Ming were stunned by Leng Yaozhu's words.
To have Xia Yi and Gu Yue call Holy Spirit Douluo "sister"?
Only Leng Yaozhu could come up with such a thing.
That was outright taking advantage of Yali!
"Hello, Sister Yali." Xia Yi put on an innocent, honest smile and bowed slightly to her.
He didn't care how Yali felt about it.
As for Gu Yue, she wasn't as thick-skinned as Xia Yi. She simply couldn't bring herself to say it and turned her head away.
Yali's expression kept shifting. She had no desire to let Leng Yaozhu steal a seniority advantage over her.
In the end, Yun Ming chuckled, patted her hand, and said gently, "It's alright. This young brother is merely complimenting your youthful appearance."
Hearing this, Yali's eyes instantly brightened. She glanced smugly at Leng Yaozhu before retaliating by pinching Xia Yi's cheek.
"Oh my, you've made your sister feel so shy!"
Leng Yaozhu was so infuriated she was stomping in her heart. She quickly said, "Holy Spirit Douluo, my student has already called you sister despite his conscience. Don't you think you should express your gratitude?"
Without giving Yali a chance to respond, she cheerfully told Xia Yi, "Good disciple, don't be polite with your Sister Yali. If you see something you like, just ask her for it. Look at how happy she is—I'm sure she won't refuse you."
"Really?" Xia Yi asked cautiously.
"What kind of question is that? Do you think your Sister Yali is stingy? A miser?" Leng Yaozhu and Xia Yi played off each other.
"Well, I heard Sister Yali has a piece of Heaven-Forged Metal…" Xia Yi muttered hesitantly, clutching his clothes nervously before mustering the courage to lift his head. He met Yali's gaze with pure, innocent eyes and asked carefully, "Is that alright, Sister Yali?"
Yali's fair forehead pulsed with veins as rage built up.
What do you mean you "heard"?
I gave it to you before, and you refused!
Now you're teaming up with Leng Yaozhu to make me suffer?
If not for her concern for her image, she would have smacked Xia Yi.
Not only did he want her Heaven-Forged Metal, but he even had the audacity to act pure in front of her?
"Oh, child, what nonsense are you spouting? Heaven-Forged Metal is incredibly precious. Even if your Sister Yali isn't stingy, you can't just ask her for something so valuable." Leng Yaozhu added with a bright smile.
Then, she twisted the knife further. "Holy Spirit Douluo, don't be upset with a child. Just give him some candy."
"Fine, I'll give it! I'll give it!" Yali gritted her teeth. She was utterly disgusted by their antics.
She knew that if she didn't hand over the Heaven-Forged Metal, Xia Yi and Leng Yaozhu would never let it go.
With a flick of her finger, a dark green piece of Heaven-Forged Metal flew toward Xia Yi.
"Auntie Heaven Phoenix, I've given something to your student. Shouldn't you return the favor? I have a student too." Yali smiled sweetly.
"Auntie Heaven Phoenix!" Leng Yaozhu instantly exploded like a cat whose tail had been stepped on.
"Your student is my little brother. Calling you auntie is perfectly reasonable. Na'er, come greet your grandmother." Yali beamed.
"Gran—"
Before Na'er could finish, Xia Yi swiftly interrupted, "Na'er, hurry and pay your respects to your Martial Uncle."
He absolutely couldn't let Na'er call Leng Yaozhu "grandmother."
She was already furious at being called "auntie." If "grandmother" came out, all hell would break loose.
"Martial Uncle? You…" Na'er snorted coldly, glaring daggers at Xia Yi.
Bow to him? She would rather die.
