In the previous chapter, Narkhan, Momonga, and Six arrived in the New World with the Guardians, meeting on the sixth floor. Now, the three Supremes are in the meeting room of the 42 Supremes, a solemn space that only the three of them can now use.
Narkhan leaned on the table, watching Momonga with interest.
—Now, what do you plan to do, Momonga?
Momonga thoughtfully stood up and placed the staff of Ainz Ooal Gown on a shelf behind him. Then, he replied:
"For the moment, we will observe the situation. We know nothing about this world and it is wise to adapt before acting. Besides, we have to get used to these new bodies," he said calmly.
Six, who had been listening attentively, nodded.
—Now that you mention it, it makes sense. Since I've occupied this body, I feel a little strange, as if certain aspects of myself have changed. There are things I no longer need… and it's as if something in my essence has been altered.
Narkhan crossed his arms, thinking.
—That's true, I notice that too. Maybe it has something to do with our races… Maybe it's something that will become clearer with time.
Momonga, looking at his companions calmly said
—Let's wait a few days. Let's observe any changes in our bodies and abilities. Perhaps then we'll better understand what this world expects of us.
After a moment of silence, Narkhan stood up and said.
—I'll go to my apartment. I must talk to my creations and find out how they perceive this new world.
"I'll do the same," Six replied, also standing. "I want to know your opinions on my presence here."
With a nod towards Momonga, Six teleported away.
Narkhan turned to Momonga before leaving.
—We'll see you later, Momonga. Send us a message if anything happens. And one last thing: ban everyone from entering this room. Let's make this space a place exclusively for us, for when we need to discuss in private.
Momonga nodded solemnly.
—Understood. I will have the guardians maintain the privacy of this room.
With one last knowing look, Narkhan teleported away as well, leaving Momonga alone in the silent meeting room. Momonga looked around the room, his thoughts filled with a slight melancholy.
"It's good that they're here," he muttered to himself. "Having someone to talk to… it's better."
After a moment of reflection, Momonga sighed and headed for the exit. He opened the door to the room and walked out into the hallway, descending the wide stairs until he met Sebas, who was waiting respectfully.
"Sebas," Momonga said, stopping in front of him. "From now on, I want any being from the Great Tomb of Nazarick, including Floor Guardians, to be prohibited from entering the meeting room. It will be a place exclusively for the Supremes."
Sebas bowed his head in respect and understanding.
—I understand, Momonga-sama. I will immediately inform the others of this new directive.
Momonga continued on his way, and Sebas followed him silently, the echo of their footsteps resonating in the corridors as they advanced.
Two days had passed since the Great Tomb of Nazarick arrived in the new world. Narkhan walked leisurely through the halls of the ninth floor, and every servant he met in the corridors bowed in reverence as he passed. After a good walk, he stopped in front of an elegant wooden door with silver and gold decorations. Narkhan knocked softly on the door.
Before long, the door opened, revealing a young girl with purple hair tied into a long ponytail that fell to her waist. She was wearing a samurai warrior-style dress, with some parts covered by armor, and had two katanas on each side of her waist, a total of four in total.
Seeing Narkhan, the young woman knelt down respectfully and spoke:
—Narkhan-sama, what brings you here? Are you here to visit Six-sama?
Narkhan looked at her with a hint of curiosity and replied with a smile under his masks, his eyes filled with amusement :
— Hmm ... what was your name? I seem to remember it's Aiko, right?
The woman nodded.
—Yes, sir, that is my name. How may I help you?
"I see, I see," Narkhan said, keeping his amused expression. "I want you to call Six and tell her I want to talk to her."
Aiko stood up and turned around, entering the room to carry out the order.
Narkhan stood at the door, thoughtful.
"So this is Aiko…" he mused to himself. "I remember her being on a level comparable to a Guardian, or perhaps Albedo. Hmm , maybe she doesn't have a Guardian position simply because there are no more floors available, but I know she was created as a samurai leader, a born warrior. Hahaha, Six… you're so funny."
A while later, Aiko returned to the door and spoke respectfully:
—My lady is waiting for you, Narkhan-sama.
Aiko opened the door fully, allowing Narkhan to enter. As she crossed the threshold, she noticed that the room was quite spacious, about half the size of the throne room. The walls were decorated with angelic details, and on the square columns were intricate carvings. The entire space had a white hue with silver accents.
In the center of the room, a throne stood out, and there sat Six, cross-legged, watching it with a slight smile. Behind the throne, ice spikes of various heights rose, from the smallest to the most imposing, forming an imposing backdrop. In the center of the room, behind the throne amidst the ice spikes, a hallway led to a private chamber.
Narkhan approached Six's throne and spoke:
—I see you're having a good time, but we need to talk, Six.
Six nodded and then looked at Aiko with a kind smile.
—Aiko, could you please leave the room? I want to speak to Narkhan in private.
Aiko bowed and left, closing the door behind her. Seeing that Aiko had retreated, Narkhan snapped his fingers, raising a barrier around the room.
"This barrier will prevent anyone from listening to our conversation, Six," Narkhan explained.
Six nodded, watching him with interest.
—I see you want to talk about something important, Narkhan.
Narkhan leaned back as if he were on a throne, though there was nothing behind him. At that instant, a throne of dark red energy began to materialize, forming beneath him. Narkhan sat comfortably, his expression serious.
"There are a lot of things I want to ask," he said finally, "but I think it's time to talk about what really matters, Six. Who are you?"
Six looked at him with a smile and spoke softly:
—I come from your world, Narkhan.
He showed a slight look of surprise, but then smiled with amusement.
-That's all?
Six sighed and continued in a melancholic tone.
—My life was nothing special. When I was young, my family was killed. After that, I was left in an orphanage; no relatives wanted to take care of me. Years passed, and at school I was bullied and mistreated. Eventually, I ended up working several part-time jobs, just to be able to pay for food and lodging. I tried to save up for college, but an accident left me hospitalized for a year, and when I came out I only found debts to pay. Eventually I got a decent job, but there too I was bullied, this time by my classmates. In the end... I was forced to commit suicide, with no other escape.
Narkhan looked at her silently, processing her story. He slowly removed his mask and spoke seriously.
—I see you suffered a lot. You went from misfortune to misfortune... Don't you feel rage or anger? Don't you hate the world that treated you that way?
Six smiled kindly.
—It would be a lie to say that I don't feel upset. But I know that hate isn't worth it. During all that time, I never sought revenge. I just tried to move on, because that was the best I could do.
Narkhan frowned, his voice echoing with a dark tone.
—That's not enough for someone who has suffered so much. The pain must be returned, you can't just wait for someone to come and save you.
Six smiled and shook his head.
—Maybe I should have done something about it, but there's no point in it anymore. I feel fine now, thanks to you I have this opportunity.
Narkhan sighed, leaning back in his throne.
—So what happened when you died? How did you end up in the place I asked for?
Six looked at him and explained:
—When I died, I found myself in the same scenario as you. I was the first experiment of the "being with a voice," but I failed the final test. That being explained to me that when my soul left my body and I left our resignation, it was crushed and rebuilt many times. My soul was so damaged that it could not endure another trip between dimensions without losing something essential. He offered me to wait for the next candidate and that, when he chose, I would go to the world he wanted. I accepted and lost consciousness. When I woke up, that being told me that I would be sent to this world, but as an artificial intelligence, without memories, because my soul was still damaged.
Six looked at him with sincere gratitude in her eyes.
—However, by you choosing this world, there was a way to repair my soul. Apparently, by coming here through the game, my memories and essence could be restored. And you had the final say in deciding whether I entered the game or not. You gave me the chance, and thanks to that, my soul was repaired and my memories returned.
Narkhan listened to her in silence, taking in every word Six said, and after a moment, he spoke with a seriousness that contrasted with his usual amused tone:
—I don't promise anything, Six, but I hope you can enjoy this world in peace. I hope the pain you felt never happens again.
Six smiled and replied gratefully:
—Thanks, Liam. I'll do my best.
Narkhan stood up from the throne, which disappeared behind him in a blink. He turned and began walking towards the exit.
"Aren't you going to tell me what your life was like before coming to this place?" Six asked curiously.
Narkhan paused for a moment, but without turning to her, he replied in a deep voice:
—My story is a mess. You don't want to know it. It's better if it remains forgotten.
Six looked at him kindly and, with a soft smile, said:
—However, if you ever decide to tell me your story, I will listen carefully. And when you do, you can be free.
Narkhan put on his mask, which fit snugly against his muzzle-like face. The mask had carvings evoking dragon teeth, an intimidating sight that contrasted with his playful tone.
—I hope that day comes, hahaha… Also, I wanted to tell you something, Six.
Narkhan looked at her from the corner of his eye, turning his head slightly, his orange and red eyes shining brightly.
—I don't know if you know this world, but I want you to know something. When the beings in this world begin to die, don't interfere. Everything has a natural order. You just have to follow it.
Without waiting for an answer, Narkhan looked ahead and walked out of the room laughing, snapping his fingers to remove the barrier.
Six remained silent, smiling kindly. She thought to herself as she watched him leave:
—Liam, you disguise your pain with amusement. But don't worry, I won't interfere in this world. I know that everything we do in the future will be for the guild, and if I have to destroy this world by myself to protect it, I'll do it gladly. I built this place with my first friends, and I will protect it with everything I have.
Calm returned to the room, and Six stood there, pondering Narkhan's words and her own purpose in this new world.
Days passed after that conversation between Six and Narkhan. In Momonga's chambers, the room, decorated with sobriety and elegance, had a large meeting table in its center. Behind it, an imposing desk and, to one side, a door that connected to a private room.
Momonga was sitting on one of the chairs, while in front of him was the remote viewing mirror. Beside him, Sebas stood upright, ready to carry out any order.
Momonga patiently moved his arms, trying to manipulate the mirror to observe the outside of the Great Tomb of Nazarick. Finally, after several attempts, the mirror emitted a distinctive sound. Sebas, with a slight smile of satisfaction, clapped his hands and spoke:
—Congratulations, Momonga-sama.
Momonga looked at him and, with a slight nod, replied:
—I appreciate it, Sebas. Sorry for making you stay by my side all this time.
Sebas bowed his head respectfully and replied, his voice firm and full of pride:
—Standing by my master's side and following his orders is the greatest honor. That is the kind of butler Touch Me-sama created, and that is my reason for existing.
Momonga nodded, understanding his loyal servant's words. With a satisfied expression, he looked at the mirror and declared:
—Understood. Okay, let's check the areas where humans might inhabit.
With a slight movement of his arm, Momonga caused the images in the mirror to begin changing rapidly, showing him different scenes of the surroundings. Finally, the image stopped at what appeared to be a small village. From above, people could be seen running back and forth.
— Hmm , what is this? A festival? —Momonga asked.
Sebas approached the mirror and answered:
—I don't think so, Momonga-sama.
Momonga waved his arms, bringing the mirror image closer to the village, noticing that what was happening was a massacre: people in armor were killing villagers with swords. One of the soldiers, mounted on a horse, advanced at full speed, slashing a villager diagonally and killing him on the spot, while other people fled in terror.
Momonga noticed the scene and muttered:
—They don't look like bandits.
He observed all the chaos in the town and noticed how a person sacrificed himself so that his two daughters could escape.
Shocked, he thought to himself, "Something is wrong with this… Before coming to this world, I would have felt helpless seeing something like this… Hmm …"
He decided to call Narkhan and Six:
—message : Come, something is happening. I am in my chambers.
At that instant, two people appeared near the main door of the room: Narkhan and Six.
Narkhan glanced at Six and commented:
"I see you've put on the full set." Six wore a cloak similar to Narkhan's, white with gold and silver lines, but without the plush collar; instead, it had a white hood.
Six looked back at him with a smile and replied:
—In this world, it is better to protect ourselves completely. We can no longer be careless.
Narkhan nodded, then looked at Momonga and spoke:
—What's wrong, Momonga?
Sebas bowed. Momonga pointed at the mirror and said:
—Come closer, I want you to see something.
Narkhan and Six walked to stand behind Momonga and watched the scene projected in the remote viewing mirror.
"Do you feel anything?" Momonga asked.
"I don't feel anything," Narkhan replied.
"I don't feel anything either," Six added.
"I see…" Momonga muttered.
Sebas intervened:
—What should we do?
Momonga glanced at him and replied:
—We'll just ignore them. We gain nothing by helping them.
Sebas nodded.
—I understand, Momonga-sama.
Momonga looked at Sebas and a memory of the past came to his mind. Behind his mask, Narkhan smiled and suggested:
—Why don't we help them? We could test our skills. It'll be interesting, don't you think, Momonga?
Six nodded.
—You're right, Narkhan. We might be able to get something from them.
Momonga looked at the mirror and noticed the two daughters escaping into the forest, pursued by two soldiers. He stood up from his seat and said:
"That's precisely what I was planning to do." He looked at Sebas and added, "Sebas, I'll go to that village with Six and Narkhan. Increase security in Nazarick. Tell Albedo to come fully armed, and send a force with invincibility capabilities."
Sebas bowed.
-I understand.
Narkhan, amused, commented:
—So much confidence? But if I go, what could happen? Hahaha.
Momonga glanced at him.
—We better be prepared for anything.
He extended his hand and the staff of Ainz Ooal. Gown appeared in his palm. He then ordered:
-Door!
Narkhan just shrugged, while Momonga sighed before walking through the portal, followed by Six and Narkhan.
Elsewhere, a young girl was running with all her might, dragging her little sister by the hand as two soldiers chased them. However, the little girl tripped and fell, allowing the soldiers to catch up with them. The older sister, determined to protect her, stepped in front of her, receiving a deep cut on her back and letting out a moan of pain.
The little girl opened her eyes in concern and exclaimed:
—Onee - chan!
The soldier approached laughing as he raised his sword to kill them. The older sister took her little sister's head and, remembering her father's words in the midst of the chaos, whispered:
—Nemu…
Memories of her father, who sacrificed himself by holding back a soldier so she could escape, came flooding back to her. "Run, Enri... hurry up, go..." Her heart was beating rapidly.
Just then, a portal appeared in front of them. The soldiers, shocked, lowered their swords and began to retreat, as if they had seen something out of this world. Enri looked up and saw a terrifying figure emerging from that portal: an undead creature dressed in elegant clothing and holding a golden staff in its hand.
Fearfully, Enri hugged her sister even tighter as she trembled and sobbed in fear. Two more people emerged from the portal: an imposing figure with horns, black hair streaked with red, and a mask carved with dragon teeth, and on the other side, a woman of supernatural beauty, with white hair and an elegant bearing.
The three beings were tall, reaching almost two meters in height. Momonga raised his arm, pointing at one of the soldiers and muttered:
—Completion of the Heart.
An illusory heart appeared in his hand, which he crushed mercilessly. The soldier fell to the ground, dead instantly. The other soldier stepped back, terrified, and exclaimed:
-Monster!
Narkhan, seeing this, commented amusedly:
—So your favorite skill works on the humans of this world... Level 9 magic. Hahaha!
Momonga nodded and calmly replied:
—I was thinking of quitting if it didn't work out, but well... I don't feel anything, no remorse, no pleasure, no guilt. I guess, both physically and mentally, I've stopped being human.
Then he looked at Six and asked:
—How do you feel?
Six replied without hesitation:
—My race is that of a fallen angel, so I don't feel anything. But if I were of the normal angel race, it would probably be a problem.
Momonga nodded and took a few steps, placing himself in front of the soldier, who had stood on guard with obvious trembling. Momonga looked at him with disdain and said:
—You can chase a woman and a girl, but you can't take on someone different, right?
Six stood next to Momonga and added with disdain:
—You are despicable, human.
Then he raised his hand and said:
—Light, Endless Point of Light.
The soldier tried to flee, but a ray of light pierced his heart in the blink of an eye, and he fell to the ground dead. Momonga looked at the corpse and said:
—So weak... died with level one light magic.
Then he stretched out his hand and said:
—Creation via undead skills: Death Knight.
A purple liquid fell on the corpse of the first soldier, covering and decomposing it in a matter of seconds. The substance began to take shape, growing and transforming until it created a Death Knight, an imposing and dark being.
Momonga, satisfied, gave the order:
—Death Knight, kill everyone wearing that armor.
The Death Knight immediately obeyed, beginning to run towards the village without stopping.
Momonga thought with some irony: "He just left, leaving behind the person he was supposed to protect... What's the point of creating a defensive monster if he ignores his own?"
Narkhan, watching the spectacle, spoke with emotion:
—Wow , he's gone! But this is really interesting .
He raised his hand, pointing to the second soldier and said:
—Miasma of the Abyss, level one, Summoning.
A red and black miasma enveloped the soldier's body, which exploded into a cloud of blood. The substance rose, taking shape and growing into a towering, sinister-looking beast holding a huge club and dressed in black leather. Its head was covered with a leather bag nailed together with nails.
Narkhan smiled and said:
—Do the same as the Death Knight.
The beast nodded and began to run towards the village, ready to carry out his order. At that moment, another woman appeared from the portal. She was wearing black armor and approached Momonga, speaking respectfully:
—The preparations took some time. I apologize for that.
The portal disappeared behind her. Momonga looked at her and said in an indifferent tone:
—You're a little late, Albedo. But thank you.
Narkhan put his hands in his pockets and, with a smile, said:
—I'll go check what the monsters we sent are doing.
Without waiting for a response, he took a step and disappeared. Momonga sighed.
Albedo bowed slightly and asked:
—Do you want me to go after him?
Six quickly responded:
—Don't worry, I'll go. It's impossible for you to catch him anyway.
He took a step and also disappeared. Momonga couldn't say anything, just thinking: "It seems that no one is listening to me today."
Albedo then turned her gaze to Enri and Nemu, and disdainfully commented:
—So what should I do with these lower life forms?
Meanwhile, several miles away from the village, Liam watched from the sky. On the ground, numerous soldiers, dressed in different armor, rode towards the village.
Narkhan shifted his gaze slightly towards the nearby forest and detected other soldiers hiding in the shadows, watching the riders. At that moment, Six appeared behind him, without making the slightest noise.
Narkhan glanced at her and said:
—It seems you were able to follow me.
Six, with a smile, replied:
—You're fast, Narkhan. If Albedo had come, I would never have caught up with you.
Six looked down at the ground and observed the soldiers before saying:
—So, these are part of the story you plan to do?
Narkhan looked at the soldiers and replied thoughtfully:
— Hmm , I don't know. Either way, they're going to die. I'm not sure whether I should do it or let Momonga handle it.
Six looked at Narkhan and commented:
—They are important to the story.
Narkhan thought for a moment before answering:
— Hmm , I barely remember the series, but I know they're just ants that will die sooner or later.
Six made a thoughtful face and then asked:
—So, it doesn't matter if you kill them or Momonga does. Although, now that I think about it, why did you become so strong? Is there anyone in this world with that level of power?
Narkhan looked up, considering the question, and replied:
—Yes, there is someone who is level 100 or even higher. It is possible that he has surpassed that level, and there are also likely other beings of similar strength. I don't know exactly how my intervention in this world will affect it. Perhaps there are other players, since I never got to see the end of the original story.
Six nodded and commented:
—I see, then we'll have to test the power of our bodies to the maximum if we want to face that being. Of the players, I know you could defeat them, right?
Narkhan turned to Six and, with an amused smile, said:
—The players won't be a problem, haha. But Momonga is. He might try to get those players to join us.
Six opened his eyes slightly in surprise and replied:
—That can't happen; we don't know who that player is.
Narkhan began to walk, creating ripples in the space beneath his feet, as if he were walking on water. He passed by Six and remarked:
—I know. We can't let that happen. Besides, Albedo could also do things that compromise the guild.
Six thought for a moment and asked:
—Then why did you let Momonga change Albedo's settings?
Narkhan smiled at the memory and replied:
—I see you remember something from the series.
Six turned to see Narkhan's back and said:
—I heard rumors about the story, but at some point I asked Momonga why Albedo had changed, and he told me what she did.
Narkhan nodded.
"I see. If Momonga hadn't modified the settings, Albedo would have betrayed us. She hates the Supremes for abandoning her."
Six showed surprise and commented:
—Really? Wow ! I don't think it was just that though; you could have just changed the settings and that's it.
Narkhan shrugged in amusement and explained:
—I did it just for fun. It's not like I've changed much, ha ha.
Six sighed, shaking his head.
—So, what do you plan to do in the future?
Narkhan thought for a moment.
—First, I'll let the story unfold. Afterwards, I'll intervene. But we must be careful of Albedo. In the original story, she manipulated Momonga into using some item or an NPC… I don't remember well, but it was something like that.
Six nodded.
—So what's the first step?
Narkhan removed his mask and stored it in a portal, taking out another one that completely covered his face. He also put on a hood that hid his horns, closing his cloak completely. Six looked at him, arching an eyebrow.
—Mask of Jealousy? What do you have in mind?
Narkhan replied:
—You better hide your face. You're too beautiful and you make people fall in love with you.
Six opened her eyes in surprise, turned around and, with her back to Narkhan, there was a blush on her face and she said:
—I'll do what you say.
He pulled back the hood of his cloak and pulled a mask out of a portal, covering his face and closing his cloak. Narkhan nodded, looking towards the direction of the village. He took a step and disappeared, followed by Six, who also disappeared instantly.
In the village, a group of people gathered on a nearby hill, where several makeshift crosses marked the graves of the deceased. Some villagers prayed, while others simply wept silently, sharing in the grief.
Momonga stood under the shade of a tree, silently observing the scene. Albedo was not with him at the moment. At that instant, Narkhan appeared beside him, followed by Six, both wearing masks similar to the one he was wearing. Momonga looked at them and commented, noticing the masks:
—Where were they? I asked Albedo to keep an eye on the surroundings with the reserve forces. Besides, I would have seen them if they were around here.
Narkhan smiled in amusement and replied:
—Calm down. I was just taking a walk, and Six brought me back.
Momonga sighed and added:
—Okay, but I see you decided to wear that mask.
Narkhan replied nonchalantly:
—When I was coming here, I noticed I had it, so I put it on.
Six intervened, turning his attention back to Momonga:
—Tell us, what is happening or what has happened?
Momonga replied:
—I have obtained information that could be useful to us. The mayor of this village informed me about our location.
Six nodded.
—I understand. You will tell us in more detail later.
Momonga nodded silently.
Meanwhile, Narkhan watched the people praying and crying at the crosses. He frowned in disapproval, turned around, and said coldly:
—What stupidity... crying for the dead doesn't change anything.
After a while of walking through the village, Momonga, Six, and Narkhan moved silently, followed closely by Albedo, who remained attentive. Momonga looked around with many thoughts crossing his mind until he stopped and said:
—It seems that there are no more problems… It's time to go.
However, at that moment, in the center of the village, the mayor was conversing with other villagers. Momonga noticed the gathering and, with some interest, commented:
—Apparently there are more problems.
He began to walk towards them, and upon arriving he addressed the mayor:
—Is something wrong, village leader?
The mayor, seeing him, showed a mixture of respect and reverence.
—Oh, Ainz-sama…
Hearing that name, both Narkhan and Six stared intently at Momonga's back. Six, with a mix of curiosity and some coldness, muttered:
—We will talk about this at the guild… Ainz.
Momonga gave him a sidelong glance and replied:
—I understand. I'll explain everything to you later.
While Momonga conversed with the mayor, Narkhan and Six stayed behind, watching. Albedo, who had remained beside them, bowed slightly and said in a cautious voice:
—I hope you're not too upset that Momonga-sama used the guild's name... he's the guild leader.
Six looked at her coldly and replied in a sharp tone:
—I know you have a crush on Momonga, and I understand that. But if you dare to do something that puts the guild at risk, I will kill you, Albedo. Don't make me angry... I'm not in the mood right now.
Albedo took a step back, nodded silently, and walked towards where Momonga was still chatting.
Six, in a barely audible murmur, commented:
—This also happens in history…
Narkhan, still watching, replied in a low voice.
—Well, well, about putting you on Albedo's blacklist , hmm, I don't think so, but about the name Momonga just took... It's not that I like it. I knew this would happen, but it's annoying that he does things without at least informing us. He's no longer alone in this world.
Six sighed in frustration and said:
—I understand. We'll talk to him. I'm the vice-leader of the guild; I deserve to be informed of these kinds of decisions.
Narkhan just sighed and calmly replied:
—Don't be so upset, Six. Momonga has always been like this, this is nothing new.
Shortly after, Momonga finished his conversation with the mayor and returned to Six and Narkhan.
"It seems that there are soldiers approaching this village. I will speak with them," Momonga commented.
Narkhan nodded enthusiastically, saying:
—I'll go with you. I want to see what it's all about, and if there's a fight, I'm in the mood for it.
Momonga glanced at Six, but she simply ignored him, keeping her distance. He just sighed and, without further ado, began walking towards the town square, where they would await the arrival of the soldiers.
As they moved forward, Narkhan approached Momonga and whispered:
—You've made her angry. What do you plan to do about it?
Momonga replied in a low voice, with a resigned tone:
—I'd like to explain why I did it, but I doubt you'd be willing to listen to me right now.
Narkhan gave a small laugh.
—Hahaha, you shouldn't have changed your name to the guild name without telling us. You know perfectly well the implications of that name and what it could cause. And yet… — he laughed again.
Momonga nodded, looking ahead with determination.
—That's exactly why I chose it.
Narkhan sighed and added, in an amused tone:
—I won't say anything else, but if that's what you want, who am I to stop you? We'll talk more when we get back.
The two continued walking to the square and waited there for a while. Soon, in the distance, they spotted some soldiers approaching on horseback. The leader of the group dismounted and advanced towards them, presenting himself firmly.
"I am the royal captain of the Re- Estize Kingdom , Gazef Stronoff . I have received orders from the king to stop the soldiers of the Empire, who have been invading and causing unrest in several villages," Gazef declared authoritatively.
The village leader, visibly surprised, exclaimed:
—Royal Captain !
Gazef, without taking his eyes off the newcomers, asked:
—Are you the leader of this village? Could you tell me who the people standing next to you are?
Momonga stepped forward, bowing his head slightly.
—It is a pleasure to meet you, Royal Captain. My name is... Ainz Ooal. Gown , and those behind me are my companions. I am a magic caster who came to help this village while it was under attack.
Gazef nodded and dismounted, approaching Momonga to engage in a low, serious conversation. However, before they could delve into details, a soldier hurriedly arrived and addressed the captain.
—Captain, we have sighted strange presences near this area. They appear to be approaching as we speak.
"Take me to see what's going on," Gazef replied quickly.
The soldier nodded, and both Momonga and his companions decided to follow them to a nearby house. From a window, they could see several silhouettes in the distance. Among them, an unusual figure stood out: a summon that looked like a huge automaton with angel wings and a ring of light above its head, similar to a divine entity.
Momonga, intrigued, asked:
—Who are they?
Gazef watched the scene seriously and explained:
—They are from the Slane Theocracy . These are elite sorcerers, part of one of the Six Scriptures, a special group that answers to the high priest. It is likely they have been causing the recent attacks.
Momonga nodded thoughtfully.
—I see, so they were responsible for the attacks... That means this village has great strategic value to them.
Gazef glanced at Momonga and added:
— Gown -dono, if you really don't know the reasons why they are attacking, then it only means one thing…
Momonga smiled slightly and calmly commented:
—It seems he has a little contempt for you, Captain.
Momonga and Gazef continued to converse in low tones, exchanging important information. At one point, Momonga took out a mysterious item and handed it to Gazef, who looked at it carefully before carefully putting it away in his bag.
The two of them left the house and walked together towards the square, where the rest of Gazef's soldiers were waiting for them. Seeing the captain, the soldiers stood at attention, ready to receive his orders. Gazef, without wasting any more time, mounted his horse and, with a signal, ordered the departure.
"Come on, soldiers!" Gazef exclaimed with determination, and his men obediently mounted their horses and prepared for battle.
As all this was happening, Six and Narkhan watched from the window of the house, attentive to the scene in the distance. Six narrowed her eyes as she saw the celestial figures advancing on the battlefield.
"Those are the Flame Archangels ," Six commented. "They are summons of Yggdrasil."
Narkhan let out a sigh, crossing his arms with a bored expression.
—It seems so... Hmm , this is getting a bit monotonous. I'd like to get out of here and do something more interesting, this is exhausting me.
Six looked at him, curious about his thoughts.
—Do you think Momonga will fight now?
Narkhan smiled sideways and replied confidently:
—He will help them. That's most likely.
Six nodded, turning his attention back to the window. From there, they could see Gazef and the members of the Slane Theocracy's Special Scripture charging into battle. The determination on Gazef's face was evident; he had opened a field of escape for his soldiers, giving them the opportunity to retreat. However, in an act of loyalty and courage, the soldiers decided to return to support him, joining the battle despite the danger.
The scene was becoming more and more intense, and the battle seemed to be about to reach its critical point, at that moment the soldiers began to fall one by one until only Gazef remained, holding his sword while blood came out of his mouth, with the strength he had left he launched the invocations, but he did not have a chance falling to the ground but his will did not give up and he stood up screaming with everything he had, but at that moment Gazef disappeared and in his place four people appeared.
Momonga stepped forward and, with his cold and confident voice, introduced himself:
—It's a pleasure to meet you, Slane Theocracy . My name is...
But before he could continue, Six stepped forward with a look of annoyance on his face.
"My name is Six," she interrupted, "and I'm sick of you. You're really pissing me off, you know?"
Momonga looked at her, both surprised and curious, while Albedo tightly gripped the axe in her hand, ready for any sign of threat.
Slane Theocracy soldiers stepped forward and looked at them with disdain.
"So you are the ones Gazef mentioned," he said with a cocky smile.
Six looked at him coldly and gave him one last warning.
—I'll give you one chance. If you surrender now, you can leave without any problems. But if you stay, you will die.
The leader let out a mocking laugh, confident in his power.
—What insolence! Angels, attack!
Angelic invocations were launched towards Six with ferocity. However, she, without moving, uttered in an authoritative tone:
—Kneel down.
Surprisingly, the angels stopped dead in their tracks and knelt before her, leaving the mages and the leader of the Theocracy with their mouths agape in utter bewilderment.
"Disappear," Six ordered coldly.
The summoned angels began to disintegrate, disappearing into fragments of light. Narkhan stepped forward, looking up at the sky as a crack formed in the air, and it quickly closed.
"It is very bad to spy," Narkhan said with a smile. "Someone wanted to see this fight, but I will not allow it."
The leader of the soldiers looked at the scene in terror.
"What was that?" he murmured, fear in his voice.
Narkhan shrugged.
"Just some busybodies who wanted to enjoy the show," he replied with amusement.
Seeing that the threats did not make them back down, the leader of the soldiers took out a crystal and held it firmly in his hand.
"You think you can beat me?" he shouted, raising the glass. "Domain Authority!"
A blinding light emerged from the crystal, and when it faded, a new summoning appeared: an imposing angel, with glowing wings and an aura of power.
Six and Momonga watched him calmly, though there was some disappointment in their eyes. Six sighed and spoke disdainfully.
—So this is it... —he commented— What rubbish. I thought they would have something more impressive.
The leader of the soldiers, full of determination, ordered the angel:
—Use Holy Strike!
The angel raised his staff, which transformed into fragments of light that spun around his body. A magic circle formed in front of him, and a white bolt of lightning fell from the sky, striking Momonga, Six, and Narkhan.
When the glow dissipated, Momonga began to laugh.
—Hahaha, I see. So this is the "damage" they can do. How interesting!
Six shook her head, annoyed.
—These garbage are really annoying.
Narkhan smiled, his tone mocking.
—Hahaha, this was like a massage. Not bad.
The mages and the leader of the Theocracy stared at them in shock, unable to process what they had just witnessed.
Albedo, filled with fury and jealousy, shouted:
—Ainz-sama, the only one I love deeply, has been harmed! Know his pain, you pieces of trash!
At that moment, he released a wave of energy so intense that the mages and the leader shuddered in fear.
Momonga placed a hand on Albedo's shoulder and spoke to her in a calm tone.
—That's enough, Albedo.
He then looked at the remaining soldiers and mages.
—Let me introduce myself properly: I am Ainz Ooal. Gown , and this is the end of it.
He raised his arm towards the angel in the air and said in a firm voice:
—Black Hole.
A black dot appeared in front of the angel, which was completely absorbed in an instant, leaving no trace behind. The atmosphere was filled with a deathly silence as terror gripped the soldiers, unable to comprehend the true power they had just faced.
The leader of the soldiers fell to his knees, his face pale and his voice trembling.
—Ainz Ooal Gown -sama... please forgive me. I just want to live... I don't care about others.
Momonga looked at him with a relentless gaze and spoke with cold determination.
—You don't understand. You will die today.
The leader, almost in tears, stammered in his desperation.
—Why are you so powerful? Who... who are you?
Albedo took a step forward, her expression reflecting absolute contempt.
—Beings of lower life, like you, should simply bow your heads.
"Inferior life form?" the leader muttered, visibly nervous and confused.
Momonga, Six, and Narkhan exchanged glances, and in a dramatic gesture, they removed their masks, while Six and Narkhan dropped the cloaks that concealed their identities. The soldiers, seeing their faces, paled, but their eyes fell on Six, and some of them blushed at her almost ethereal presence.
Momonga took a step closer, letting his presence dominate the scene.
"Die in the worst way," he declared, his icy words filled with contempt.
Six smiled in a way that dripped with cruelty.
"I will make sure you feel unspeakable pain," he whispered, his eyes shining with dark malice.
The leader, trying to cling to a last ray of hope, looked at her in disbelief.
—You... you're human, right? Why are you with them?
Six laughed, and with an elegant movement, he unfurled majestic wings that emerged from his back, emitting a heavenly glow. The leader and his soldiers were petrified by the revelation; this was not something human, but something far superior, and their astonishment was such that they could barely process it.
"It is the end," Narkhan declared, his voice calm but firm, a dark energy emanating from him.
As they walked away from the scene, Momonga, Six, and Narkhan advanced with a palpable calm. Albedo followed closely behind them, watching them with a mixture of admiration and joy.
Six, with a smile full of emotion, broke the silence.
—That was amazing! It's been a while since we've gone on a mission together, don't you think guys?
Momonga nodded, still feeling the excitement from the past battle, and spoke with a hint of joy in his voice.
—It's true, it's been a while since we've gone out like this... although I thought they still wouldn't talk to me.
Six stopped suddenly, turning to pout playfully.
—You abandoned us, you did things without us! Do you forget that we are comrades?
"I'm sorry, guys," Momonga replied, giving a slight smile. "But I'm glad you came."
At that moment, Narkhan put an arm around Momonga's neck, laughing in camaraderie.
—It's true that we may have our fights, but in the end we're a team. That's what matters, isn't it? —he said with a laugh.
Momonga joined in Narkhan's laughter, feeling a familiarity he hadn't experienced in a long time.
—I understand. In the future, I will consult with you. We will move forward as a group.
Narkhan smiled with satisfaction, and Six, letting out a sigh, admitted:
—Forgive me, Momonga. I misbehaved before...
"It's okay, don't worry," Momonga replied, patting him on the shoulder.
Without warning, Six hugged them both tightly.
"I'm glad I came with you," he said sincerely.
From the rear, Albedo watched them silently. She had removed her helmet, revealing a soft, nostalgic smile as she watched Momonga enjoy himself with his friends, as if for a moment they had all returned to the days of the past.
Six let go of them and stepped back, smiling. Momonga took a deep breath before speaking.
—I think it's time to go home.
Narkhan reached out to a dark portal, where he pulled out his usual mask and calmly put it on.
—Momonga, do you really intend to continue using the guild name? You know that if it gets out, it will attract trouble.
Momonga was silent for a few seconds, thinking.
—I want to know if there are more players in this world. The only way to find out is to use the guild name.
Six looked at him seriously.
—If other players appear, they may not have the same intentions as us and decide to attack us.
Momonga nodded.
—I know the consequences.
Narkhan crossed his arms and looked at him firmly.
—If you're clear about that, then fine. But if another player shows up, don't offer to help unless they deserve it. We can take it, but the others… I don't think they'll look kindly on it.
Momonga pondered for a moment before nodding decisively.
—You're right. In this world, we really only have each other.
Six gave her a warm smile.
—It's good that you understand, Ainz.
Narkhan gave a short laugh.
—In the future, this will get very interesting.
After a while, in the imposing throne room on the tenth floor, Momonga sat on his throne, surrounded by his two companions. To his right, Narkhan rested on a luxurious golden metal throne, adorned with dark and reddish details that reflected his powerful and bold style. On the other side, Six sat on an iron throne covered in ice, whose icy inlays seemed to emanate a frigid and formidable energy.
In front of them, all the guardians and main forces of the guild watched in respectful silence. Momonga raised his hand and, pointing at the flag with the guild symbol, solemnly declared:
—Great destructive item.
Instantly, the flag disintegrated into blue flames that illuminated the room. Momonga stood up and, with a firm voice, spoke:
—I called you today to inform you that my name has changed. From now on, I will be known as Ainz Ooal. Gown . You may call me Ainz. If anyone has any objections, now is the time to say so.
Albedo, with her usual devotion, stepped forward and said:
—We have heard this beautiful name, Ainz-sama. We will dedicate our absolute loyalty to you.
One by one, the Guardians and Guild Leaders stepped forward, speaking words of loyalty and commitment, until everyone was finished. The room resonated with renewed energy, unified around the new name of their leader, Ainz Ooal. Gown .
